Yariv

Well - I'm happy to say that my machine works with WPA.

I downloaded the latest driver and the last IBM Wireless Connection Manager.

When you use Connection Manager, I have the ability to use WPA. in windows (zero configuratoin, it still doesn't work)

In addition, I had to change my router to support the types b & g (it was set to "g only").

Thank you everyone

and I hope this will help others.

  • Devices does not connect wireless. Validation of identity?

I have a Wireless-g router broadband model # WRT54GS2, the source of the internet is a Sprint card mobile broadband px-500 that plugs into my laptop.  The router and connection worked very well until someone hit the hard reset on the router button.  I have configured the router using the provided installation cd.  After the reset button has been affected, I tried to use the cd to resolve the connection problem but, I can't use the cd because it repeat 301 error: internal error.  Is there something I can do to set up the router again and get the connection going manually?  I can connect to the wireless using a laptop but it says validation of identity, and the connection will not work.  How can I fix this?!  THX!

-Also, I know how to get on the web based Setup by putting my ip address in the browser but, I don't know how to fix my connection problem.

With the computer connected wireless to your router, open the web interface at http://192.168.1.1/ the default password is "admin". Now, perform the following steps:

    1. change the address LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.254 WRT.
    2. on the same page, disable the DHCP server.
    3. save the settings. You will lose the connection.

    4. connect one of the LAN ports numbered from the WRT to the ethernet port on your computer with the card Strip. Do not use the internet port of the WRT!

That should do it. Now all your other computers can connect to the internet through the computer with the card Strip.

Remember that from now on, you need to configure the WRT on http://192.168.0.254/ also don't forget to secure the router, either change the default password on the Administration and a separate SSID page and enable security wireless WPA2 with a password hard.

I have a satellite L300 (part No.: PSLB8A-0SN004) took me right back to the factory settings (out of box).

I tried to install the Realtek RTL8187B Wireless LAN driver both Atheros Wireless LAN Driver, but neither helped.

    > I tried to install the Realtek RTL8187B Wireless LAN driver both Atheros Wireless LAN Driver, but neither helped.

If the wireless network adapter is recognized in Device Manager, you n t need to install the WLan driver.
In addition, you said that you can see the wireless networks available in your environment. This means that the WiFi is enabled and works

I think that you should disable the WiFi settings (WEP, WPA, etc.) only for testing purposes and should try to connect the laptop to the network open, if possible, that means that you badly chosen encraption or the password.

  • LaserJet P1102W: [RESOLVED] LaserJet P1102W does not connect to a wireless network on Mac

UPDATE: the below solution worked on my MacBook, both running El Capitan. Ignore the instructions provided in the manual of the P1102W and follow the steps below.

    I have a P1102W printer.

Recently my LaserJet P1102W refuses to connect to networks using WPA Wireless.

As it does not have an IP address, I can't access the web server.

She also does not connect to my Mac Wireless via Bonjour. The printer will install when connected via USB.

I installed printer HP Apple drivers, that contains the P1100 driver.

The P1102W worked before wireless. I only noticed this anomaly since installation El Capitan and moving the printer to another room with my workstation.

I need the printer to use the wireless network, as I did not have enough space on my desk for him. And I just can't place it anywhere within the range of a USB cable.

    Are there alternatives to this?

    Hi @rcosgrove,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you encounter some problems connecting your Laserjet P1102w printer to your network wireless using your Mac computer. I can help you with that.

First of all, I would like to mention that it would be easier to the printer connected to your network using a Windows PC. If you can't borrow or use a Windows PC, the following steps should allow you to connect the printer. If you can borrow a PC, please let me know what version of Windows and I can provide a link to the drivers to configure the printer automatically.

    Preparation of the printer

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, hold down the two buttons on top of the printer.
    3. Hold the buttons on top of the printer and the printer.
    4. Hold down the maintained for even 10 seconds.

    Wireless printer setting

    1. Make sure that the printer is connected to your Mac via the USB cable.
    2. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    3. Click the icon of your printer on the left.
    4. Click Open print queue, printer installation, utility of printer, open printer and HTML Config utility.
    5. (If the above step generates an error, change your default browser on Safari. Please let me know if you need assistance with that).
    6. In this new window, click on the networking and wireless tab on the left.
    7. Under Mode of Communication, select Infrastructure.
    8. Select your network from the list and then click on the button with the arrows.
    9. Under Security Mode, select WPA/WPA 2. If you have an old router, you may need to select WEP instead.
    10. Enter your password wireless in the field below.
    11. Click on apply.

Now, wait a few minutes. Your printer must change to have a solid blue light. If it is not the case, either the password has been entered incorrectly or there is a setting on the router that the printer is having a resolution of the issue. Please let me know if this is the case.

Once you have a solid blue light:

    1. Unplug the USB cable.
    2. Return to the printers and Scanners.
    3. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of the printer on the left.
    4. Click on reset printing system.
    5. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner.
    6. In this window, select your printer in the list.
    7. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
    8. Click on Add.

Please let me know if you are able of print or the results after following the above. If you can print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

I hope this information is useful. Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!

  • Ink advantage 2545: changed the name of the wireless router and now ink advantage 2545 does not connect and I'm out of ideas

    I have a Toshiba laptop 64 bit running Windows 10 Home, 8 GB, 1 t hard drive.

Router is a Samsung phone using Android because it was the only router that I could find which would take the wireless signal.

I live very pastoral, no neighbours for miles, so I never saw the need for a password on my router.

Now, some people are installs in less than 400 feet from me, and I think they're piggybacking on my Wifi because my access speed has slowed considerably since they moved in.

So I decided to change the password of the router, unfortunately, I can not put in any password I want.  It gives me the opportunity to have a predefined password.  So I changed the name of the router I could do without problem.

My computer very quickly without any problem, however, my printer which worked great for a year with the old router name does not connect on the new name of the router.

    Here is what I tried:

I had hoped he would ask me for a new name / password, but it did not.

Then I plugged a cable between the printer and the laptop in the hopes that it would produce a different kind of results.  It has not changed anything.  There is no screen menu on what that be like this on the printer.

I pressed the wireless button that has the flashing blue light and nothing happened.

I pressed the button, don't know what it is, but it has a white light, and nothing happened.

I went on the HP site and followed the instructions but he just said do not connect the cable until told to do so.  So I disconnected everything, lights out and turned back on and still no connection and no invite to plug whatever it is.

Y at - it everywhere where I have being a novice could get instructions on how to get this working?

I appreciate any help you can give me.  Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000: Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter does not connect to 802.11n network

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter.  For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n.  They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.

    The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)

    All this experience? All solutions?

    Woo-Hoo.

Found a solution.  Both HP and windows said I had the most current drivers, but this HP forum had a link to a newer driver.  Installed and it worked.

  • Wireless LAN card Intel 2200 does not connect

    Hello

    I just bought an Intel Pro/series 2200 b/g.

I installed the driver, and it detects the wireless network, but does not connect.

I used the Intel and Toshiba drivers, but to no avail. My old card, the 2100 works fine.

    Can anyone help?

    Best regards

    Hello George

You cannot use Toshiba or Atheros driver for the Intel wireless adapter. This is known issue and I found an interesting topic about it.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=4451

I put t know what model of phone you are using, but it's obviously Intel and a 2200 wireless card problem.

My Qosmio X 770 does not connect to my wireless modem. The without line on the computer turns on and another computer is able to connect to the modem without problems. • Satellite L40 - the Wireless does not connect until svchost has been disabled

    Hello.

I have a Satellite L40 without BONES, I bought and I installed a XP/SP3. I have a small problem when I connect to my wireless NET. It does not connect until I open the Task Manager and remove one of the two svchost process open with the name 'network service '.

Someone has an idea of why this never happens and how to fix it (I can opperate thereafter, but is a little annoying to have to do each time).

    Thank you.

Tried to reinstall the wlan drivers and utilities already? When you do so, you should check the download pages of Toshiba for the latest version of the driver.

Is the WinXP installation you have performed, had integrated SP3 or SP2? Because I would like to know if wlan worked with SP2.
