  • Questions of hibernation HP m9500f

This system is not that of 5 months and this morning I woke to the fan rotates at a high speed rate and no lights on the front of the computer or the monitor (that works).  I left it last night by turning off the screen and hitting the botton of hibernation on the keyboard and it seems to be coming out of hibernation, but it may not.  Microsoft's web site for Vista hibernation problems mention "this problem occurs because the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) device driver does not correctly update device settings to reflect the new configuration" and the solution is to apply the SP1.  This PC came with SP1 and since it is not yet properly initialize, I couldn't apply it in any case.  I don't know if need more info about the system, so just ask and I'll give.  Any help is appreciated.

I found my problem... I unplugged the PC from the main supply for 10 minutes and then reconnect all power properly.

I left the post as one solution to others.

    Hi Verminaard42,

    Thanks for posting your solution.

Hibernation/standby does not seem to cause problems from time to time, but I wonder if there could be something else. Have you updated your PC for the latest firmware to your PC?

If this isn't the case, please do. It might make you save a lot of headaches and loss of data. Here is a link to the update of the firmware for your Seagate hard drive:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-68339-3 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = US & lang = to & os = 2100 & Product = 3867491

This update may or may not cure the hibernation issue, but it will definitely help your PC otherwise too.

In addition, this HP Support document on the resolution of the problems of sleep/hibernate can help.

Let us know how it goes.

  • Tecra R840 - Win8 - energy hibernation mode

    Hello

I did the upgrade offered to W8, I am very satisfied with the W8 system, but the problem is that the laptop consumes battery also in hibernation mode.

I wouldn't understand that energy consumption will be in mode 'sleep', but on the hibernation mode?

I discovered that when the computer is in sleep or Hibernate, and I opened the lid, the computer automatically starts EVEN if the 'power computer when open cover' option is unchecked.

When I select to shut down the computer - it does not react to open the lid, I have to press the power button.

The problem may come from the windows system, that BONE tolds the computer wake up once the lid closed.

The problem is, the computer starts to load whenever I wake up after hibernation (I had my 15 minutes of the Home Office, and it consumes about 1 to 2% of battery.

It is quite annoying that my battery capacity full load is about 83% of the original (I bought my PC in June2012).

I got Lenovo T60 7 years ago, and there was an option to start to charge the battery only when the battery charge was less than 95% and it saves the battery capacity.

    Does anyone has some clues?

    Thank you!

Fact is that the battery capacity will decrease even if the laptop is turned OFF completely. Capacity of the battery will lose some percent of capacity. To reduce this review - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ9C015N0001R01.htm

    > I Lenovo T60 7 years ago, and there was an option to start to charge the battery only when the battery charge was less than 95% and it saves the battery capacity.
As far as I know that this option is not available on Toshiba laptops. When it is connected to AC notebook power supply starts to load the battery automatically.
There is no possibility to change anything.

  • Probook450G3: question sleep/put into hibernation

I did a fresh install of windows 10Prox64 on this laptop which is originally pre-loaded with windows7 Prox64. I installed the drivers on the disc included. now, every time the laptop into hibernation or sleep I can't wake him up - the screen blinks several times then turns white. Nothing comes on the screen even not the mouse pointer. I can only continue by making a forced power off feeding and when I start her works normally as long as he does not sleep. I installed all the updates driver/Windows with the same result. Is there something else I can try other than to return to HP?

    HI Lotto,

Please download and install the software HP support assistant from this link:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?JumpID=va_r602_us/en/any/PSG/pl_ot_ob_ds_pd/hpsupportassistant_cc/DT & _sm_au_ = i7VQZMWMQRfwpVps

It will help to identify and correct the missing drivers and updates also.

This link also contains manuals on how to use HP Support Assistant. Make sure that you are connected to the internet during this operation.

If this does not work, you can try to reset your power options "by default" in the microsoft windows system.

and in the end, as a workaround, you can modifty power plan options to avoid hibbernation or standby mode.

  • Satellite P205D freeze after hibernation/standby in Win7

    Hello

Satellite P205D my daughter has just been upgraded to Windows 7. fine, except that now, it freezes shortly after the resumption from standby or hibernation. Minidumps just point to a "hardware". We executed the installed Toshiba installation software (it was a 'clean' installation), value added package, and updated the BIOS and 1.7.
Any ideas what could be casuing the problem? -J' I assumed it was a suspended driver, but would have thought that they would have to day now.

The only thing showing a problem in device manager is a (probably from a USB stick) USB mass storage controller, but that the deactivation has no effect.
    Thank you

To be honest on this virtual path, it is not possible to provide the exact diagnosis. We don t know what you did exactly, which drivers, tools and utilities installed and install the who do you follow.

Can you maybe provide more description on the OS version, driver installation, installation of additional software or anything else that can help a better understanding?
Some external device is connected to your laptop, run some additional software?
What it looks like in Device Manager? Everything has been installed correctly?

  • Satellite P100 will not stay in hibernation mode

    Hi everyone ~.

    Satellite P100
    Vista

Before going to bed, in that I always put my computer in hibernation. He won't stay in hibernation mode. I don't know fashion 'sleep' here.
I click on the Start button and then choose put into hibernation. It goes into hibernation and I go to bed, so I don't know when it will come out of hibernation.

I used to have to press the power button, get up and running after his hibernation. Along the front of the computer are 5 blue lights. I'll call them a, b, c, d and e.

d & e are usually off when I use the computer.

a, b, and c are on when I'm on the computer. When it goes into hibernation mode b turns off.

When I get up in the morning a, b and c are all back on and everything that I have to do is move my mouse around then newspaper instead of the first press of the power button.
I have a few scheduled tasks, but I've always had people.

Help, please. Is there a setting that I can do to take care of this problem? TIA

    Hello

Have you noticed the same thing with the mode sleep too?

Anyway, check it please Windows Update option and disable it. Click the settings (left) and make sure that the first option install updated is automatically disabled. Maybe your laptop starts each day at a time and try to do the update of audit.

    Test it!

  • NB100: battery discharges in hibernation mode

Now that my hibernation function works OK, I used most of the time, I let the netbook.
So it is faster to recover after hibernation that restart.

But I notice that landfill of battery substantially; It is usually on the critical alarm level after some 12 hours of "hibernation".
    Is this normal?

The device is new and so is also the battery. He holds for about 3 hours in normal use.

    Hello

Usually the battery needed to dump also if the laptop would it boot mode (simply DISABLED). I read as the options enabled like Wake up on LAN, etc. needs a small part of the battery power even if the laptop is not enabled. Could the battery loses power during a night between 10% and 15%.
If the laptop is in hibernation mode the battery could lose more than 15%.

However, I think that you should check the BIOS settings and should disable options like Wake up LAN, etc.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra M4: TMESBS32. EXE stops hibernation

    Hi all

I read the forum trying to learn more about hibernation, standby, and TMESBS32. EXE

My brand new Tecra M4 wont stanby or hibernation. The problem seems to be due to the TMESBS32. EXE

Does anyone know why TMESBS32. EXE (see below for information on what it is) could shut down the computer after hibernation, or how I can fix this?

I'll go in the details below to try to help those seeking information with the forum search tool.

    ---

My computer worked fine until two days ago. What I did that day was to install updates from Microsoft and burn a CD with Sonic RecordNow! that came with the computer. Since then I could not Stand By or Hibernate mode (using the button in the computer window disable the menu start).

I looked on this forum, found my log files and a reference to TMESBS32. EXE causing the problem (see below for more details). If I finish this task so I can Stand By and hibernate again.

    TMESBS32. EXE

The following information is part of the event: TMESBS, Waring!, code: 17 h, CM_Query_And_Remove_SubTreeW ERROR.

    Hi Kelly,

I think that the idea to your problem lies in the fact that you had previously burned a CD. The TMESBS32 routine is a software designed to monitor the activity of CD burner you in the selectbay so that you can effectively share the device without causing Windows to crash.

As burn you the CD the TMESBS32 routine is now active monitoring the CD burner so that it can put an end to any associated process if necessary. The fact that this routine is actively followed is enough to keep your laptop in hibernation or on standby. For one of the following options to work then all currently active processes must be able to suspend their activities and write their current status of your hard drive so that they can resume later if necessary.
I suspect that the TMESBS32 process does not support this facility.
