Re: Windows stops completely when Satellite C855-11F not in use
Windows 7 shuts down completely when laptop is not used, close all programs.
When I want to start using it again I get screen "Windows did not shut down correctly" and restart.
Other pc normally require any password to return to the previous state. I would like to know how to change this, pls?
Hallo
I understand what is happening, but you put offer of pertinent information for a better understanding.
Are you using the original OS that you got with your laptop?
Have you installed any additional software that may be the reason for the unexpected shutdown?
Is your laptop to the power supply when this happens?
Did some shopping application when this happens (download)?
> Other PCs require normally just password to return to the previous state. I would like to know how to change this, pls?
I put t understand what do you mean with that. What password and previous state?
What you see on your laptop is normal unexpected shutdown.

Explorer Windows stopped working when opening a folder
Hello
I get this error "Windows Explorer has stopped working" for the past few months, every time I try to open a particular folder that contains 10-15 .avi files. This folder is located on an external hard drive and when I plugged the hard drive of a computer running XP it's the same thing. It throws this error and gives me 2 options,
1. check online for a solution and restart the program.
2. restart the program.
According to the option that I chose it closes all the windows in the Solution Explorer, and nothing happens.
I tried to copy the file from external hard disk to the local computer and the same thing happens when I try to access it. I don't think that's the problem with my computer as the same thing happens also on the XP machine.
Please suggest what to do.

Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install

Need to stop Windows 10 message when connecting. Does not occur with IE
When I was able to connect Firefox I have a big blue sign that fades to logon and want to register for Windows 10. Quite boring.
Does not appear in the Internet Explorer Logon. I had already download Windows 10 but decided not to move. I deleted the KB3035583 update and that was supposed to help. Changed message to logon to Windows 10Homepage changed www.msn and the display did not come to the top on connect. I still like to use msn as homepage, but that will just live with it until he goes or use IE when I don't want to delete it... Thanks for the quick response.

Portege Z830-10F - WLAN stops working when USB3.0 port is in use
Hello
On my Portege Z830-10F wireless stops working when I plug in a device on the USB 3 port. The wireless connection back upwards as soon as I remove the device.
The problem occurs with any device I plug. I tested with disks external usb (usb 2 and usb 3), USB, a receiver wireless mouse and a printer/scanner.
This problem only occurs when something is connected to the USB 3 port. The USB 2 ports on the rear do not have the problem.
Port USB 3 itself works very well.
Running windows 8 pro:
* Wireless lan adapter: Qualcomm Atheros AR9200WB-1NG (version 10.0.0.75 driver)
* USB port 3: Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0096 (version 6.2.9200.16420 driver)I see that I ve got the latest drivers installed on the wireless LAN card and the usb host controller 3.
The problem arises as well on windows 7 and windows 8 pro. I used the wizard to upgrade Toshiba upgrade of windows 7 to windows 8.
This problem is present since I got this laptop. I ve already done a reinstall / recovery back to the original with windows configuration 7 but this doesn´t solve the problem.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you!
Hello
To be honest, it's the first time I read on this issue.
I have no idea how a device attached to the USB 3.0 port could affect the Wlan functionality.I assume its hardware fault and cela must be verified by a certified maker Toshiba.

Satellite - E drive not been used
Hi my computer laptop C drive is nearly full, but drive E has not been used, must it be automatically used alone or do something wrong?
I was told that the partitions are poorly adjusted? Is this correct, and if so, how to solve?
Hope you can help.
Hi IAN9898,
Automatically, nothing happens. If you want to save the files or something else to drive E, you should do yourself and who said that the partitions are poorly adjusted? I doubt that
In any case, before you start a lengthy discussion, you should put more information on your laptop model and the operating system.
For example, I save my documents (photos, music, videos, etc.) always and only on the second partition. If I have to reinstall Windows, these files will not be deleted. ;)

Can I install Windows 7 on a Satellite C855-1WR?
I made a BIG mistake! After the Satellite for years, I recently bought a C885 1WR but did not notice, it came with Windows 8... and I HATE it :(
Can I install Windows 7 on this computer?
If so, how to do this, please?I have very little technical knowledge, so easy answers please.
I would be eternally grateful for any help.Thank you very much
PollyOf course you can do it.
You can install Win 7 If you want to.
First, go to the BIOS (press F2 during boot)
In the BIOS disable secure boot with UEFI MSC mode.
Save the changes and now you could boot from Win 7 disc and could launch the installation. But just a note: you read the operating instructions and to create the recovery disk before installing what anyone on the laptop. The recovery disc helps you return to Win 8 in case you want to use again!
