Re: With DVI-d port PA3542E-2PRP Dynadock not working only not with Vista

Hello

I have a new laptop under Vista Home Premium.
First thing I'm trying to install is the driver Toshiba Dynadock - new model of a PA3542E-2PRP (with DVI port).

Immediately ythe driver is installed, an alert appears explaining that the color palette will be changed because of the incompatibility. In others, the laptop screen turns off completely (until I have remove the connection to the dynadock, when she returns to normal). I then install the updated driver from the site Web of Toshiba (proposed in previous thread by Eldorado 17 Jul 07). I have trouble to install it correctly, but when I do, it corrupts one of the laptop video cards.

It have since then done a 'restoration' on the laptop, so am at square one. However, I am wanting to continue using the Dynadock if possible - of the very welcome suggestions please!

Thanks in advance

If I understand correctly, you were able to install the software on Vista Dynadock, but now the graphics driver installed doesn't work as it should I am mistaken?

Well in your case I n t see no problem with Dynadock but driver you graph. Therefore, an update of the graphics card driver would be desirable

  • Two screens DVI on Port Replicator II with Tecra S10-160

    Hello to all 2!

Right now I'm working with two external 19 "TFT screens connected to the Port Replicator II (Tecra S10-160 inside with closed screen). A display is connected to the DVI port available, the other is connected on the available on the Port Replicator II VGA port.
A single display (DVI) is used as the main office, the other (VGA) is used as office improved (both show different content).

My problem is the poor quality of the VGA signal and the problem, my two new screens are only supported DVI.

Is it possible to connect two DVI displays to the DVI - D Port Replicator II? I already checked several DVI-Y-cables, but I'm still looking for a solution connect two displays via DVI with the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens.

Hope you got my point and have information or ideas for products for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you already tested a VGA to DVI? So, you can use the VGA connector on the port replicator and your monitor's DVI port.

I mean such a cable like this

Such an adapter you can always use the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens. :)

The dose of CD does not install drivers because there is no Vista 64-bit drivers on the CD...

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

I checked the page European driver Toshiba and there are the drivers and software for Win XP and Win Vista. There is no special driver 64 bit Vista.
My opinion on the reasons why 64-bit drivers are missing, which is the Dynadock for Vista 32 bit software software should work on Vista 64-bit.

Have you tried to install the 32 bit Vista software?

I got a formwork of cable DVD, but it's a DVI-I have the cable.  It took 5 minutes before windows comes up and then whenever the background picture changed in the theme which he suspended for a few seconds.  I read that I have a DVD-D need cable which i purchasd today.

The package says it's a CL-DVI2M - DVI M/M 24 + 1 CABLE 2 M.  The tech in the store said that it is a good calbe and works perfectly.

When connected and power until I get the hp and rolling points logo, then it turns off.

I reconnect the cable VGA and all its beautiful - using the VGA to DVI.

I ran msconfig and turned from secure boot - restarts and comes well in safe mode.  I set the resolution of 1280 x 800 and rebooted and reconnected the cable DVI - Virgin again.

    Pls help - Steve

Although I am an employee of HP, I speak for myself and not for HP.

Yes, I rasthaus the monitor and cable of my older Compaq running xp and all fine on DVI.  The monitor and cable are fine.

Since then, I've had a product in Australia specialist help.  Tried all the previous things, then initially went to check if the person had been doing the right thing - connected the VGA monitor with the supplied adapter DVI-d port - which has always worked well.

Went to Device Manager o and removed the video card adapter. Powered off and then attached the monitor directly with DVI and it started late! Drviers reinstalled and updated and now I have nice crisp clear video appears.

Something of the support person should apparently have - insead has asked me to wipe the hard drive and restore the factory system, replace the cables, buy a new monitor... was even asked to leave VGA mode and do not use DVI!

Thank you for your help, Dave, its good to know that you are around to help us.

  • HP 251-a123w: DVI - D port not recognized

I have a HP Desktop 251-a123w which was delivered with a 22uh HP monitor.  Only a VGA cable was included, but HP 22uh monitor has HDMI, VGA and DVI - D ports.  I use the system with the monitor connected to the VGA cable until Saturday.

Saturday I shut down the computer and the 22uh HP connecting its port DVI - D port DVI - D on the computer using a DVI - D cable.  Then I connected an Acer X193w monitor is VGA port on the VGA port of the computer using a VGA cable.  I want to have a Setup dual monitor.  HP support for my model site indicates that both ports can be used at the same time.

Well, my computer starts by using the Acer monitor to the VGA port but the HP 22uh simply displays a message "Not connected Signal Cable!".  Nothing I did make the HP 22uh start on the DVI - D port.

I've updated the drivers, I rebooted the computer several times.  I started the computer with only the monitor 22uh HP connected through a DVI - D cable and still do not recognize the monitor.  I uninstalled the display adapter and then restarted, is yet to recognize the DVI - D port (or maybe that the monitor is not recognizing cable, I don't know).  I have the HP 22uh monitor turned off and restarted, still nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi again,

If it is a dvi - d, you need a computer screens which have dvi - d.
A graphics card with a dvi - i port also supports vga monitors.

OK - page of your product (return i/o ports):
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02552467

It is a true dvi - d - then Yes, you need a digital monitor with a dvi - d port.

  • Socket DVI - d / port seems to have blown

    Hi all

I have 2 monitors.  The 'blue' connector, using the other uses the 'white' plug  It seems that the white plug has blown (dvi - d) with power outage due to storms in Brisbane this weekend.  Both monitors will work using the blue plug, it's not the monitor.  But no monitor works with the dvi - d connector / white.

Question: is it likely to be a failure at the end of the cable screen (IE port), or at the end of the laptop cable IE port)? I'm mobile of thought, given that both monitors are working ok with blue Cap.

I can't decide if I'm going to need new monitors or a new laptop!

    Manda moo.

Test two monitor DVI - D ports, using a different cable, DVI - D and, hopefully, another computer.

  • Satellite A300-1BZ with Vista - Port Com disappeared

    Hello world.

My first time and I'm a bit of a dunce with technical stuff, so please be gentle with me!

    A300-1BZ with Vista.

Some time ago I installed "CarSoft V.83" (diagnosis engine) of CD on my laptop. He asked me to check the com port.
I looked in Device Manager and in the list that I saw "port com 4". OK, we'll go with that then. Everything worked well and I was luckily away talking to my car.

Yesterday I went to use it for the second time and he says there is an error with the com port and 'check' the com-port.
So, I got the Device Manager to the top and there is no mention of any com ports in the list! It is the last time I looked, and now he's disappeared!

I was at a loss what to do, I uninstalled the CarSoft, then re-intsalled once again. Received the same error message.
Went to Device Manager. Still no com port 4 from the list, or anything that pertains to a com-port.

I don't know how or if I can get it back.

    Help, please!

    Hi mate

First of all there is no COM port. The com port that you could see in the Device Manager has been a virtual port created by the software of the car.

    What to say
I recommend to remove the software of the car of the first installation.
Then download the CCleaner and clean registry and system entries.
Restart the computer, and then rerun the CCleaner
After that, install the software in the car again

    Maybe it helps

  • Dynadock does not work with Vista

Press releases USA Toshiba the Dynadock was WXP and compatible with Vista, but it's NOT.
Nobody knows when it's released software / or ways to get the Dynadock to work with Vista?

    Hi Stuart

I put t know how it works in the United States, but here in Europe, according to the specification Dynadock, it only works with Windows XP SP2 home edition. I don't think someone can give you info on support for Vista especially here in the user forum.

  • Impossible to see or set the printer ports for printer Lexmark Z35 with Vista

I've been using a printer Lexmark Z35 with Vista Home Premium and then it stopped working.  When I go to the control panel of configuration/printers look at the properties of a printer (even PDF printer), when I click on the Ports tab, nothing happens, it just hangs.  I left alone for 45 minutes and it is still stuck.   I searched online but could not find anything on this.

    Uninstall and reinstall the printer.

    See:

Then, download and install the latest vista drivers for the Lexmark support site.

I moved a listener on a host in a House different oracle. The headset works fine, but EM 12 c shows that the listener is down with the following summary:

The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file. CORRECTIVE ACTION: To monitor this "EM listener target" with its current configuration, you must stop the process of listening running and start it using the Listener parameter file: opt/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/network/admin/listener.ora. Hi Ron,

Can you please do the following?

-Create a for the listener listener.ora file, stop and start the receiver using the listener.ora file. If the file is located in a default location, set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to that location before you start the listener.

-Log on to the EM console, go to the homepage of the listener.

-In the Oracle Listener menu, select target Configuration > Configuration of the analysis.

-Ensure that the parameters, including the Listener.ora directory, are properly.

    Kind regards

  • Vs ATI HD 4650 DVI VGA - monitor attached to VGA not clear - what to do

Well, I had this problem for awhile now. Seems that it is quite common. Have a desktop HP elite with the ATI HD 4650 Vid. Two better monitors from Dell. The monitor plugged into the side VGA is less strong. I confirm this by changing their and the problem follows the VGA connection (tried both cables also). Yes, is there any use by running the DVI cable down to the video card on LCD with an adapter on the VGA port? I think not because I'd just be using the DVI cable to trasmit a VGA signal. My only solution is to replace the video card by one who has two DVI connectors?

The series of programs is 10.9 but driver 8.771 depending on the operating system and video card.  Go to the ATI web site for the latest video card driver.  HP is originally on the update of the video card driver.

  • Problem with webcam not fixed with Vista SP1 on Portege M700

The Vista SP1 does nothing to the failure of Vista to recognize the built-in webcam Portege M700.
The existing forum thread mark this question as a response, despite the link to the document toshiba mentioning the error messages entirely different from those cited by those of us with problems

I find it strange that the M700 UK wouldn't have a built in webcam; is it really true?

    Hello

I noticed a problem with webcam in time early Vista release, but it was linked to the Vista OS stroller and was solved by SP1.

Sorry, but another problem with webcam into the unknown for me and as far as I know internal webcam works fine also on Portege M700.

As you already suggested the internal webcam is not available on all Portégé M700 series. Toshiba notebooks, any series, are equipped with different hardware specifications and example to the webcam internal, in the light of the webcam and internal microphone are available on some models.

Maybe no problem with a webcam, but some Portégé M700 does not really have an internal webcam ;)
