ReadyNAS 102

After several years of working perfectly, my ReadyNAS 102 has the following problem:
- I can't access the Administration Web page, it says only: he is in charge and eventually times out.
Although it either in this state that RAIDAR said the device starts up - but it never happened that. The power light blinks slowly - When I boot it in mode read-only, there is no problem, and both drives are reported in good health.
- Whe in read-only mode, I can copy data off the coast on a USB drive or eSATA. I can also SSH to the machine
- I noticed in the newspapers that he has recently upgraded to 6.4.2.
- I saw a few posts about disabling the add-on - the only one I have is "Supersync" and it is not executed. The instructions in the messages do not seem to apply it is to say
I initially thought one of the drives died - but it seems that there is a problem with the operating system.

Your data volume becomes quite full and there is a lot of fragmentation.
We recommend that you keep the volume of use at least 80%. If you want to go a little higher that regular maintenance of regular volume is important.
The disk with ATA errors looks like it is a failure.
It would be advisable to back up your data, perform a factory reset, be more selective about which actions to use bit - rot protection and instant and restore your backup data.

I moved to BT Business Monday. I have connected my ReadyNAS 102 and I can access it ok on my mac via the finder and Explorer on my Windows PC 10.
The problem I have is when I have access to the net via readycloud.neatgear.com. The unit will display offline.
I have disabled the firewall on the BT Business Hub 5, but he was showing always offline.
I can log in as admin ok when I connect via IP address directly.
Can someone tell me what I need to do?

Sonos and ReadyNAS 102 v6.4.1 compatibility
I use a ReadyNas 102 to serve files from music for a Sonos system.
Everything worked perfectly under firmware 6.4.0, but after upgrading to Sonos 6.4.1, is no longer able to index or see about two-thirds of the content (files flac and mp3).
Decommissioning of 6.4.0 snaps back and Sonos works as expected and is able to index my entire collection.
the upgrade of ReadyNas is the only thing that's changed.
Any ideas what's happening?

I use my RN 204 to broadcast my Sonos system files and it still works after that I updated to 6.4.1.

ReadyNAS-102 (6.4.1) disconnects randomly

Over a year ago I bought a NAS readyNAS-102 as replacement for my old configuration by using a media player with external drives. From the beginning I was very happy with the way everything worked, it was so good!
I was able to access my files across using FTP, I could listen to my Samsung Smart TV and all devices (laptops, ipads, you call it) could access the database, I created.
This has stopped recently. For some unknown reason my readyNAS-102 with firmware 6.4.1 randomly disconnects after a while to load. It doesn't matter if it is used TV, laptop or tablet.
For example, when you watch a movie on the TV, the laptop or Tablet the device disconnects from the SIN after a random delay. This may be 3 or 30 minutes in the film. Strange thing is, it is not peripheral wide, so when the laptop is disconnected (I can't access it storage network or via static ip address) I can still access the NAS with my ipad.
The same thing happens when you look at photos etc. I already tried several things but can't seem to find the missing piece of the puzzle.
Perhaps people with more knowledge have a hunch where the problem may be.

I am pleased to announce that for the moment, the problem disappeared.
I updated the firmware to the latest version beta 6.4.2 - T72 and tested by watching a movie.
For 1 hour and 15 minutes the NAS has run smoothly so I am happy again.

Hi all
I have a ReadyNAS 102 with two WD 1 TB drives, but I'm getting closer to full and upgrade to hard drives of 3 TB. I see a lot of discussions here on the 102 and 2 discs to 3 TB. Is there a problem with discs on the 102 3TO?

3 TB works very well, I had a WD30EFRX in the mine for awhile (2 1/2 years for the first hard disk).
I recommend readers NAS proposed (in the case of WD, which would be RED or RED Pro).

ReadyNAS 102 no access to the files either
Hi, I need help!
Let me try to describe the events that led to this.1. I discovered yesterday that the ftp did not work on my readynas 102 suddenly
2. I went into the admin page and tried to turn off and restart the ftp service. (he has not solved)
3. I accidentally disabled the http service to uncheck "Admin HTTP"
4. all access to my nas was suddenly unavailable. ? Shared folders no longer appear in my network. -I got tvmobili installed all this while and strangely tvmobili can still access my files via dlna on my TV.
5. I tried os reinstall, but in vain.
6 willing Raidar to a management service is offline error and I am also unable to download all the newspapers. (Failed)
No browse button, Admin leads to a page that will never load.
7 diagnosis indicates Disk 1 has 2 timeouts of command
8. I tried to take the drive out and put it in an external hard drive enclosure. OS x is unable to read the disc. I tried it on debian via parallels and it has a hard drive tb 5 complete with unknown partition (PMBR) and impossible to climb. (How can it be empty if I can still access my files through dlna via tvmobili?) What format is the hard drive in and how can I get on osx or any os?
9. If I boot the nas as usual, the power button keeps blinking.
I am currently using Mac in my household. I owe too much in the hard drive just do a factory reset. any ideas anyone? I'd really like to get the files inside!

ReadyNAS 102 - cannot install applications (all)
The evening
I bought a ReadyNAS 102 in January, after an initial installation, I installed OwnCloud and decided that I didn't want so I uninstalled. This had the unusual side effect of uninstalling the main web server for the device, after having met the support team, I took the action at the factory reset my device, which has restored the main web server
Since then I was able to install all the applications. Whenever I try to do, I get the error "unable to install
." I've recently updated to 6.2.2-> 6.2.4 firmware and I'm still having the same issues. It turns out that the DNS has been set incorrectly and the NAS could not connect to the internet. Refreshing DNS on the Server NAS has solved the problem.

ReadyNAS 102 extremely slow after upgrade to 6.4.1
I have a Readynas 102 system with 2 drives of 2 TB. There are about 230 GB of data onto the disks. Yesterday, I upgraded 6.4.1, as suggested in the administration page. After that, the system is extremely slow. I use windows 7 pc and modem Asus, all wired. In windows Explorer, it takes minutes to get the folder hierarchy, if it comes with an answer at all. In many cases, that the answer is, disk unreachable.
Is there anyone who can help me with this

ReadyNAS 102 with 6.4.1 alerts not configurable

I have a 102 ReadyNAS, bought two new drives and a factory reset to install readyos 6.4.1.
Now I can't set up email alerts.
I enter a new contact and e-mail options complete (server, etc.). After hitting the testmail button, it takes a while and I get the message "testmail could not send." But the email is sent correctly. Under alerts, "e-mail service to send alerts is not configured" is still there. When I hit the reload all my alert settings are lost.
What's not here?
I found the problem!
It comes to IPv6. My email provider seems to have problems with ipv6 in some cases. With a name of dns ipv4-mailserver, it works now.

Cannot access admin (ReadyNAS 102) Panel
After turn on my NAS gets 192.168.2.25 IP address, I can ping from my PC. Power led blinks constantly after power to the top, I can't disable it only by unpluging power cord. I can't access Admin Panel by browser (connection refused) in Chrome and IE. I tried the procedure of resetting factory and OS reinstall that brings no improvement. RAIDar software is the realization that one SIN, but the firmware version is empty, so I guess there's the problem. Is there a way I can download the firmware - for example from USB when I have no access to admin panel? I am very disappointed because this is the State of the new product and my business really needs it goes fast...

Welcome to the community!
The operating system and data are saved on the disc that is inserted in the ReadyNAS chassis. Without the records, there is no, you will not be able to access the admin page. SSH is also disabled by default, so if you want to access via SSH, you must Access the first admin page and then allow it to from there. Telnet access is designed for engineering and support of L3.

Just got a 102 to use as server of music, but for the life of me get playlists displayed in the connected devices (LG TV etc.) someone can give me an idea what to do. I tried extended .m3u and simple .m3u playlists by placing them in the directories of the album and a separate playlist folder in the folder music. I would be very grateful for any help you may offer.
No, I didn't realize that the nas file system was not using the folders so my relative addressing was originally the sin to look in the right place.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying a new hard drive, removed the existing is slot 1, replaced with the new hard drive, updated firmware to latest 6.2.2 available then swapped the old hardrive in. Put the new hardrive in the 2 slot, formatted and put everything to RAID 1.
