Recovery disc stops during installation

Hello

I'm selling my laptop then removed all my files and wanted to restore the original configuration, I inserted the recovery of the product and to 68%, I hit my laptop and must have dislodged the disc because it failed then. I tried the product recovery process once again (3 times now) and it asks me to insert the startup disk (I don't have it).

Can anyone offer me some tips that I have a new laptop and I am eager to try to sell my old as soon as possible.

Thank you very much

Ann

Hi anndenton,

Maybe your recovery disk is scratched and so it can't be read properly. What do you think?

Can you please test drive Microsoft?
If everything works with this, your material seems to be ok!

  • Satellite L300 - recovery disc stops

    Hello

I desperately need help, hope someone can help me here.
On startup, computer laptop, one day, I got the dreaded ERROR LOADING OPERATING SYSTEM.

So I bought a store media recovery disk for my laptop.

Now, I tried all F8 stuff, but it does not work for some reason any on this laptop.

Anyway, disk arrived and did exactly what it said on the back:
Insert the disc and powerdown machine
Press F12 at startup to the top, and then select the optical drive.

Now when he turns back, download the FILES from LOADING of WINDOWS IS.
Then, MICROSOFT CORPORATION (with the bar above it), once this happens a few seconds the CD/DVD drive stops and then get a black screen.

It is not to go further than that.
Tried to restart the laptop without a disc in and all that is to come, then is

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart

    What should I do?
Can I get in on the Media store and tell them that the disc does not work? If Yes, what is their email address?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

In my opinion it's really hard to say what the reason for this. It could also be a problem with the CD/DVD drive or HARD drive.
So have you tested a Microsoft installation disc? You can try with a disc XP or Microsoft Vista. If you booted from it tries to format the HARD drive. Sometimes it of necessary to format the HARD drive before you can use the Toshiba recovery disc. On this way, you can also test if your CD/DVD drive does not work.

If the Microsoft disk does not work also, could be a problem with the HARD drive. You can check the HARD drive with a Drive Fitness Test as a diagnostic tool. Google is your friend to find ;)

Good luck and if you have any other questions, please let us know!

    Good bye

Bought Toshiba recovery disks and have problems with a stop in this facility.

This is a view he says: Please insert next recovery media (containing the F:\ZZImg\09821XSP file. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT)!

Hmmm, it looks like a disc damaged or defective.
Maybe you should try the procedure again
If this does not work, then you should get in touch with the guy that sells this drive and should get another new

  • Satellite Pro 4600 - stops during installation of operating system

    Hi all
I have a Satellite pro 4600 that my son bought his first Fixer of computer.

The laptop comes with the hard drive erased. The problem he is trying to install Windows 2000, the laptop comes with OEM.

The computer starts up to the windows disk and loads all the files, but when the Windows installation starts the computer stops.

We are trying to install the power adapter plugged in, and it seems that all the lights are either now or at least works.
This laptop was announced as work, but with no OS installed. As this is the first that he bought, we have no spare parts to swap around.

Guidance on what would be the most likely problem, or a good place to start looking would be greatly appreciated!

First, I would try to clean the laptop with a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans. You can get in at a computer retailer.

As Akuma said, check the RAM with Memtest86 and also on your disk with the Drive Fitness Test: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT

  • 03-EEEE-0000 Recovery Disc Error

Bad recovery disk. I installed an OEM version and everything worked fine.

    Hello

It may be more useful to provide more details on your problem.
What cell phone do you have?
When have you seen this error? He appears during the creation of the recovery disc or during execution of a process of recovery?

  • My Satellite phone stops during the restore recovery disc image

On several occasions the laptop suddenly stops until he's finished completely restore the recovery disc.
I have a suspicion that this may be due to get warm. If so, is there anything that might be too sensitive to heat and therefore tripping? It becomes a little hot but not more than my other laptop which is not traveling. It seems to work longer before stumbling in a cold room.

I have not been able to fully restore the image without problem and had to do the installation with a XP disc. This succeeded, but again, it fires after a short use.
Something should be reset or the laptop should it take repair?

    Hello

According to the description of your problem, the first step should be professionally cleaned. Dust blocks the flow of air and I imagine that shortly after, the critical temperature of portable erached. In this case the unit will stop automatically because of protection of the equipment.

The device, I'm sure everything will be OK again.

Sounds like it may be a problem with your recovery discs or a hardware problem with the computer. I suggest you to contact technical support in your region to see the replacement of drives or the system in service.

  • Cleaner installation (Windows 7 recovery discs)

I use a pavilion laptop (dv7-3085dx) and I would like to do a clean install of windows 7.  After ordering HP recovery discs I booted from the dvd system recovery, reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows 7.  Then he asked me to put on the cd of driver and application recovery and method to install a ton of bloatware on my fresh system.  There is no option of autorun on the cd that allows you NOT to fill your computer full of useless * beep *.

After Googling the problem I came up with two possible solutions:

    (1) install the cd drivers and complete applications, and then using a program such as pc-decrapifier

    (2) selectively install drivers useful and apps after install the clean by using a cd image program.

I feel that programs such as "pc decrapifier" still leave bloatware remains in the registry and that installing selectively useful drivers and applications can be tricky.  Does anyone have tips for how should I proceed and what applications and drivers are essential or useful?

TL; DR how can I reinstall windows 7 in order to avoid bloatware and have a fully functional computer?

    Thank you guys!

    Thanks for your help

    1 Yes

    2. links on this page are to the Microsoft site, but I am not a lawyer

    3. Yes

4, yes you have to load a driver Sata (Intel only) during installation, there is an option "Load driver" during the beginning of the installation of W7, if installation of W7 do not find a hard drive, start the installation again and load the Sata driver.

There may be other drivers, you need to install once installation is complete, check for missing drivers Device Manager, if you can connect to the internet to do a windows update and see if it suggests and driver optional downloads.

    5. try this link, I would not trust other sources, the iso can be infected.

  • Satellite Pro A10 stops during the installation of Windows

I have a satellite Pro A10, which stops during the installation of Windows. The installation gets to the part where I need to select the HARD drive to install, then the system off just. I can restart it immediately, and the sdame happens.

If I enter the BIOS, everything is detected OK, and I've updated to the latest version (V1.4). Also when in the BIOS, the system will remain under tension for ever and a day! and no downtime. I have a couple of diagnostic CD, then run the tests is the same thing, but I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and the HDD OK passes, as does the main map, but cannot perform detailed testing that the system shuts down during the tests.

I suspect an overheating issue but would like advice.

Hmmm it s very strange. I thought that the HARD drive could malfunctions but it of very impossible if the HARD drive has passed the Seagate diagnostic test.

However, it would be very interesting to know if the installation of the OS would end with another HARD drive.
You know, it of always difficult to provide an exact solution without any diagnostic tests.

For me, it really looks like a hardware malfunction. So perhaps it would be advisable to contact the authorized Toshiba maintainer for a control of the laptop.
Guys could run tests and would situate the fault quickly.

Do you mean that you have downloaded the Epson driver?

    http://www.Epson.com/cgi-bin/store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&infoType=overview&OID=209709

Try using the wizard adding printer in the Control Panel, printers. In the wizard, select EPSON under manufacturer. If you don't see your printer in the list, click the Windows Update button. It will take several minutes (about 20) be patient, Windows updates the list. You should see a hard drive activity during the update.

If that wouldn't work, try to run the System File Checker:

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files

issue with recovery disks it will affect the 2nd hard drive because that's where all my data?

In my opinion, you must install Windows using the original recovery disk. It is much easier and you do not install all the drivers, tools and utilities. All this is included in the recovery image. After installation of recovery image simply configure OS and you can remove applications that you don't need.

I force test but I m pretty sure second disk will not be changed, just the main hard drive so your data must be secured. You can make backup anyway.
