Reformatting with no cd?

I know that you can reformat without cd but I need to know if I can recoer my OS without cd. I have the recovery on the computer partition, but I'll be able to access it after that I have reformat? Help, please

Format you and reinstall Windows using HP Recovery Manager HERE you can also use Recovery Manager to burn recovery DVD game that is used to do the same thing in case of hard drive failure. You don't mention what machine you have, or what OS you're running_so that I posted the link to the Vista laptop instructions.

    Hello!

I got a Satellite R15 without recovery disks. I was thinking that I would do a set but never had him. Recently, I started having problems with my MSOffice 2007 software. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but files were corrupted and it did not work. My next step was to buy Windows XP tablet edition operating system. I reformatted and installed the software. However, I had to reinstall 3 times before I was able to get actually reformat my hard drive. The new system is missing the Center help for a reason any and was also the drivers missing. I went to the Toshiba Download Center and I have downloaded every driver/program as possible I might need for an XP operating system and install them all. Some of them would not work because they wanted to connect to the internet. Some of them did not work because miss me a "PRC driver." I also installed service pack 2 for Windows XP, but not service pack 3 because I do not have an internet connection. Initially, the modem, ethernet, sound, video and a few things were not pilots. Now I have drivers for all except one - seems to be to shock absorption software and I can not find anywhere. I need help.

    1. I can not always connect to the internet via ethernet or wireless
    2. I would like to have a center to help once again - I use it once a year or more, but it's good to know that it is there
    3. I'm still not able to install MS Office 2007
    4. I would like to get this software for shock absorption.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

The HARD drive works? I ran the test Advanced in Hitachi DFT to ensure is has no bad sectors.

Install the driver 'Toshiba HDD Protection System' on the Toshiba site. Needs to be installed first, its very important common Modules.

The Office CD is scratched? It works in the other PC?

Ultimately, you want a Toshiba Recovery Disc, this way you can be sure that all drivers are installed correctly. I believe you can get replacement of Toshiba drives.

  • Qosmio F20 reformatted with WXP - missing drivers

Hey guys, I have a Toshiba Qosmio F20, I bought 3 years ago and its running fine until a few weeks back, when he just wouldn t getting started, things would turn out, but when the Windows XP register you domes I get a blue screen and all of a sudden, he stops and restarts... so I managed to install Windows XP Professional on it everything works fine now, but I couldn't t get connected to the internet.

One of my friends told me that I had to reinstall the hardware drivers, so I thought that if I went to control panel > performance and maintenance > hardware devices > I see a list of equipment that had few points of exclamation by them, the list contains the following items:

    1. Ethernet controller
    2. Mass Storage Controller
    3. multimedia Audio Controller
    4. multimedia video controller
    5. network controller
    6 PCI Modem
    7. video Controller (VGA Compatible)

In one of them if I go to the properties, all the information on there are "unknown", as the driver provider: unknown, the hardware manufacturer: unknown... If anyone has the manufacturer and the name of the hardware on my list, please post them, I really need this phone working in the next few days, go for Christmas...

    Thank you very much

If you get a recovery disk with your laptop, use the disc.

On the recovery disk Toshiba are all drivers and Toshiba tools include. Then you n t need to download and install each driver.

But when you want to do this or lost the disk, you can download the Toshiba site:

I always use the Toshiba recovery disc for my Toshiba laptop, and it works perfectly. So I save a lot of time and work.

  • Help move my datastore on external USB drive to reformat with correct block size

    Hello

I use a Dell PowerEdge 2650 with a 550 GB disks configured in RAID 5 with ESX 3.5i

When I installed ESX I didn't pay attention to the size of the block. This is the default 1 MB and so I reached the maximum extends. Which means that I can receive only 260 GB on my 550 GB.

I need to change the parameter to a block size of 4 MB in order to access the entire table.

But for this I need to move my existing data store that contains a lot of important files for me.

I have not any currenty server with 260/300 GB of free space.

    I'll try the following:

    1. connect an external USB drive. I have ssh running, but I'm having difficulties to climb. I looked for info, but I am always sick.

    2. If possible, I would like to compress using gzip great records in my data store before moving. Can advise you on the location of the files in the system and if it is possible to do?

    Thank you

    Chris

    It is clear now,

in this case if your VM's you buy a big enough hard drive 250 GB single VMDK file to copy all virtual machine configuration, not he zip or compress, you can screw all of the data on disk

I have an idea, depends on the amount of data you have on your virtual hard disk, you can use VMware converter 4.0.1 and clone your VM with discs thin provision, Vmware converter will be "zipp" your VMDK file to the exact size of your data without any risk that would have lost you all your data.

1 use vmware converter to clone your VM with discs thin provisioned

    2. low source VM

    3. start the VM 'new' and check if it works well

    4. If 4 is OK, stop VM 'nine '.

    5. copy the new virtual machine on your USB key (set the USB you your workstation and you winscp to copy the virtual machine)

    6 remove VMFS datastore

    7. create the new VMFS datastore

8 download VM to the new data store

    9. creating the new virtual machine based on a VMDK file

    10. start the virtual machine

  • Reformat Vista to XP on Satellite A200-ST2043

My brother just bought a Toshiba Satellite A200-ST2043. It came with Vista on it, and I had just planned to reformat with Windows XP Pro. I tried for a few days now and have not been able to make it work. I think it's mainly because of these Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers, that I'm not able to install correctly, or not able to get the right drivers for Windows XP.

That's what I've lived so far:

    I downloaded the 32-bit Intel Matrix Storage Manager to the site Disk Configuration utility http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=210 1 & OSFullName = Windows * + XP + Professional & lang = eng & strOSs = 44 & submit = Go % 21

    found in this thread

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=25749

I ran that he asks for a floppy disk, so I glued one to and she made the files on this disk, when it did work the first time I tried several times with different players to make sure that wasn't the problem.

I used the floppy when it asks me to press F6 to install third-party drivers as I have many times before. (I used SATA drives many times in the past on a few laptops and desktop computers that apparently does not use Intel Matrix Manager Sotrage.) "So I don't know how to proceed with the installation of Windows).

Thus, when the installer asks me to press on the of ' to specify a driver I do and select the one that suits. Then I see then the 2 partitions on the HARD disk. 1.5 GB and 73 ~ GB. I assumed that the 1.5 gigabytes is for purposes of recovery. So I deleted the partition of 70 GB and most later discovered this isn't what I need to do in this case. So, which way lead to a dead end.

So since I wiped the HARD drive I used the recovery cd that came with his computer to retrieve and install Vista all return to the out-of-the-box and all factory settings.

Then I downloaded the "RAID/AHCI Software - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager (5604KB)" of the link earlier.

I read this thread that mentions two different utilities for different chipsets. http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=26040 I discovered that I had 965 m, so I got the version 7.6.0.1011 as he say to get.

I installed through vista and then took the drivers out of the folder as it installed because this thread mentioned someone do that.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=25441

    dbunt says:

    'Hi,

    As I was this:

    1. in the preloaded vista OS, I went in the TOSAPINS folder, then in the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager-V7.0.0.1020\Inf setup' folder, copied the entire contents of the folder to the root of a floppy

    2. attach a floppy drive usb on my m9 with the above mentioned disc and start the laptop on a xp cd while pressing f6 when you are prompted to load the scsi/raid additionl drivers

    3. after the initial Setup, the usual message «you have chosen to configure a SCSI card...» "appeared, so I pressed"s"to specify an additional device

    4. the only device that is displayed is the right one for the m9 sata controller - there should be the following: Intel(r) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)

    5. Once selected, the xp installation continued and couldn't find the hard drive no problem at all.

    Hope this helps,

    Dave ".

I could not find a file TOSAPINS, but I found the Intel drivers in my program files. Those I've used and still does not work.

So I restart the installation process and make F6, then S, select the driver blah blah blah, then simply select the partition of 70 concert without wiping, a Vista is currently after recovery. I tried to install XP on Vista installation, in the C:\WINDOWS without deleting Vista because I thought that Vista was here Intel Matrix thing would still be there. That did not work and ended up having me to redo recovery.

After recovering, I restarts the installation process and make F6, then S, select the driver blah blah blah, then simply select the partition of 70 concert without wiping, a Vista is currently on after the restoration. I tried to install XP in a C:\WXP folder without deleting Vista because I thought that because Vista was doing there thing Intel Matrix would be still there. That did not work...

So in this thread, once again:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=26040

I saw that in the end, he mentions nlite, I had no idea of what it was. I discovered and tried to install the drivers in nlite and burned the iso and that no longer works.

So in conclusion I did nothing to work right and found this thread where adam0007 talks about his work at last:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=91564𖖬

I couldn't understand how the people on these message forums so I did not contact him.

If that didn't make any sense please ask me reitterate parties you've been confused on. My browser froze a couple of times and I lost the messages I was written and had to restart, then I found myself typing this in wordpad.

    Hi guys

Use the software called nLite. It is a freeware program.
With this tool, you can create your own Windows XP CD and could include all service packs, drivers, and Storage Manager Intel, etc. for this new CD of XP!

Can boot from this CD and enjoy!

    Hello

Satellite A30 is quite old and I wonder what report you something like this after so long. I put t know exactly what is happening, but it will be interesting to know a few things:

Have you noticed a similar problem before?
Are you using the original disk or some copy?
Is there a problem with the HARD drive?

Please do a little bit more about these things.

If your hard drive is noisy and has 13 bad sectors, I suspect that there is a physical problem with the hard drive.

Your message is difficult to read, so I'm having trouble following what you're saying.

You say you have two hard drives. If the storage drive is noisy, this means that the drive with the OS right? What player has 13 bad sectors?

There is absolutely no need to use fdisk or an installation CD of Windows 98SE to format a hard drive and install Windows XP. You have the corresponding Windows XP appropriate installation CD? In other words, it corresponds to the license you have? What is XP Home, Pro or MCE? Retail, OEM or OEM generic to brand? Full or upgrade?

  • Bootcamp Drive distribution

I installed 10 Windows with Bootcamp and too much space, so I don't want Windows keep all that storage, so with an app from MiniTool Partition I cut free space and is on a different disk (because if I let the utility disk unallocated still will add it on the Bootcamp drive, so the unallocated space is available only in Windows) and now inside the disk utility I reformatted the drive so that OS X can see too and I can also use it as a seconday drive but there is no way to fusion of with the main drive as I used to be, why is this? Thanks for the help and sorry for my English...

There is no way to do what you ask without reformatting.

To join two partitions, they must be consecutive.

You cannot join the first (the mac partition) on the third (that you sculpted in training camp, which is the second).

You can always clone the mac to an external drive partition and then clone back.

There used to be a tool that did the same thing for the windows partition (winclone, I think) but I've never used it.

In any case, if you choose to reformat, it is a good idea to reformat with a single partition and do a clean install (which creates the 'recovery' for you partition) before clone you the mac partition back. Then apply the training camp to create the windows partition as desired and eventually clone back or install windows.

Hello! I lost the windows7 64 bit OS and the cd of drivers of my g6 g6-2032tx Pavilion. I have reformat with windows7 32 bit OS but when I look for the drivers in this site, the 32 bit OS is not drivers. Please send me copy of windows7 64 bit OS. Thanks, Moises

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
