Regionalize Photosmart c4283

Hello

I have Photosmart c4283 bought form Middle East. I moved to the Bulgaria, and now I have to regionalize the new cartridges to work with the new region. I called hp and they told me that I have to pay for it. Is it true. It should be free, because it says on their web knows that those are the cartridges for this model. What I have to pay or it's free.

I thank.

Hello

I suggest contacting phone support yet and require a reset of the region. More details in the link below

Please let me know how you go

Thanks, Ciara

  • HP Photosmart C4283: HP Scanner/printer install wizard cancelled download when the download

Looks like I have the same problem as everyone else.
When you use HP Print or assistant doctor Scan or HP printer Install, it starts downloading the software, and when you get to 100% it tells me that the download was canceled.

In fact, I found a solution easier.

Instead of using the tool, I downloaded Windows 8.1 software package (which, by the size of it, was the same as downloaded by the tool) and manually installed without a problem.

  • Regionalization Reset - Photosmart B110

Recently moved to Europe, the Middle East, with my HP Photosmart Wireless e-All - in - One B110b.  Old cartridges (HP178) failed, but when I put the European counterparts in (HP364) I received a message 'Incompatible Ink. "

Contacted HP cat online for a 'Reset regionalization. "  First, they insisted that I print a 'test 10 - tap' with the old cartridges (impossible since they were empty).  Then they sent me to say that the reset of the region was not possible on the B110.

Fake!  When I talked to HP UK - where I bought cartridges, although I live in France - Telephone (0844 369 0369) they said that, I still had the old cartridges (although they would not), they could get the required information in the menu of supported printer.

With their help, entered in the support menu using the following sequence on the printer homescreen (top left-top right upper left-upper left).  Then provided the following information from various menus: printer serial number, number of pages, number series ink cartridge (black, cyan, yellow, magenta), scheme of grouping/scramble.  Then, they gave me a few codes to enter a special menu. Success!

Thank you very much Bob Headrick (on this forum) and Peter in Newcastle (HP UK Support) for their help.

I'm glad that your problem has been solved .

For others, this issue you need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." I suggest a phone call instead of using the chat feature.  Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.

  • Regionalization reset for my photosmart 2610

I bought the printer in the United States and Italy.  I bought a new HP cartridges in Italy who will not work until the region is reset to zero.  Looking at the answers on the same subject, I called HP support in the United States and Italy, and after 1 hour and 1/2 have been absolutely no help.  I was transferred several times.  I can't believe that this procedure should be so difficult or even justify a technical appeal.  Why is there no instructions on the Web site for this?   Can you help or get HP to support their own product?

I even spoke with a supervisor who said he found someone to help him, and then he transferred me to the menu of consumer support.  It's price winner support, seriously?  There, someone can actually help me?

Updated: 1 hour 43 minutes and 20 minutes waiting, I still remember another technician who then told me it's an obsolete product and they can't.  It took 1 hour and 43 minutes for this answer.  If I don't get this solved, you can be sure that this product is not replaced with another HP.

Sorry for the trouble.  Support centres should be able to take care of this for you.  I just send you a private message to ask for your contact information.  Once I have, I'll have someone contact you to resolve this problem.

    Thank you

Photosmart C7100 printers had a few models including the C7150 and the C7180.  Both use 02 cartridges that you ordered, assuming you are in the United States or to a region that uses the 02 cartridges.  (Look at the current cartridges in your printer to check.  If you originally bought the printer in a country and moved to the other cartridges would be different and you need to contact HP for a restart of the regionalization).

  • Photosmart 8750

    Hello

I have the Photosmart 8750 and I'm in the army. I bought the printer to the base Exchange. When the necessary printer ink base was not for my printer. I'm stationed in Germany for the short exchange of stuff fast enough. I went into town and found a store that sells HP products and the rep at the store understood what my required printer. I bought cartridges and taken home and installed them and they worked as the cartridges supplied with the printer. Later in the year, I need cartridges this time that the base has them. I have bought and taken home and installed the but now the printer says they aren't valid cartridges. A store in rep (Exchange) HP told me the reason was I used cartridges that I received from a German store. How can I fix this problem so I am able to use the cartridges I got the Base Exchange. I have been deployed or I'd do this 9 months ago. Or am I stuck with a brick of $450.00. Anyone who has been stationed abroad knows how sometimes it can be difficult when you need something and you are forced to go on the local economy to find.

    Thank you

Thanks for the update on the support of Mac.  Wasn't the case a few years before, when I was involved with the issues of regionalization.

  • Photosmart plus 209: problem with compatible ink cartridge after moving to France UNITED Arab Emirates

I have a Photosmart B209 more and you just moved from the Arab Emirates UNITED to the France. In the style of France the 178 HP, designed for that printer ink cartridge is not available, and it seems that the cartridge HP 364 in France is the same size and adapts to the machine but wil lnot work. I get a message on the printer saying incompatible cartridge. I saw a post about this problem with instructions to contact HP and get a kind of rearmament of the country. I wasn't able to do that. Can someone help with this problem?

  • Problem cartridge HP Photosmart C5180

Recently, I tried to change the cartridges for a printer HP Photosmart C5180 and bought two new sets, so I got some for the future. The representative of HP in the store told me that 02xl vivera HP inks would work as well as 363 regular cartridges supplied with the printer and that they would be more beneficial that they hold more than 50% ink. They also fit perfectly into the printer.

When I put in the error message the front of the printer says: "the ink cartridges are not intended for use with this printer. I can't bring back them to the shop as I bought a HP store in Las Vegas and I live in England. Please, please help if you can because I do not know that they would work with change of parameter or something.

    Kind regards

    Andy

Sorry, the 02 cartrdiges cannot be implemented in the C5180 which is regionalized for England.  There are certain circumstances where HP can change the settings of the regionalization of a printer, but this case does not match this model.

  • HP Photosmart C4580 WIFI adapter

I just bought a HP Photosmart C4580 WIFI, purchased from the United States. The included adapter is universal? It is, I simply a European plug on my power cable, or do I have to order a European adapter as well?

    Hello @andreasfmpro,

I'm glad to hear that your all got power problem sorted.

Regarding your print cartridge compatibility problems, this HP Photosmart is regionalized for cartridges. First installed cartridges will set the region in your printer in any region that the cartridges are purchased. Because you can not buy the HP 74 black cartridge or cartridge three colors HP 75 in Europe, your printer can be reset to allow a new regionalization to happen with your European cartridges.

In order to reset the process of regionalization of the printer, you will need to call our technical helpline by phone.

HP Technical Support can be reached at the: 800-474-6836.

If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

    Hi all

Have a Photosmart 7520 who does not accept the authentic 564XL Photo cartridges. Printer was purchased from Denmark, cartridges purchased in Thailand where printer resides now.

Get a message (in Danish) that this cartridge is not appropriate for the printer.

How can I get the printer to use this cartridge?

  • Not compatible with my photosmart 5510 564 HP cartridges

    Hello

I have a photosmart 5510 printer I bought at the Japan. It came with a set of 178 cartridges.

I moved to the Korea and bought a set of new cartridges HP 564 here because 178 cartridges are not available in Korea. In the box of cartridges it is said that the cartridges are adequate for the photosmart 5510.

After the installation, I get an error "incompatible cartridge".

If I use sureSupply via the HP utility to find compatible cartridges and I select the Korea as my current position, I get the following message:

You have selected the following location: Korea

Is this your current location? We have detected that the cartridges purchased at the location you have selected will not work with your printer. Common causes of this include:

    • you bought your printer in another country
    • you bought your printer on the Internet from a supplier in another country.
    • your printer has been provided by your employer who has moved to another country.
    • you have selected the wrong location on this Web site.

Your printer can be reset to work in the location you have selected: Korea

Contact HP support for more information on having your reset printer to work in this place.

Below that there is a link 'Contact HP for support product' but if I click that I find myself on the sureSupply page and I have to choose my model and location. If I do that, I see a list of 564 cartridges I buy.

Top of the page, there is a link "Contact HP" but this link (a javascript link) does nothing (in safari on OSX).

How can I have my printer reset to work in Korea (with 564 cartridges)?

@ JeroenKorea - if you bought the printer in an area and moved to a new area, you must call customer service to ask a "regionalization Reset." Avoid any accusation to this effect; It is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.

See the document on regionalisation.  I'm sure you already used this link, but I want to offer again.

  • cartridges for photosmart c6510

I have a Photosmart C6510 I bought in the USA. The printer indicates clearly that I need 564 cartridges. However, I can't find this size in Ireland. For me, it was suggested that I can use 364 cartridges. Is this correct? Or are there compatibility issues with the fact that the printer is in another region?

  • Can I reset a HP's Photosmart c7280 to accept HP 363 ink cartridges and not the HP 02 ink cartridges?

    HP Photosmart c7280

    Windows 7 32 bit

Error message "printer configured for 02 ink."

I got this printer from the Australia to the United Kingdom.  I check the site of hp UK for correct ink cartridges replace who was exhausted.  I bought a HP 363 ink cartridge, such as recommended.

On installing the cartridge of the printer said it is not configured for this cartridge and it accepts 02 ink cartridges.  These are not readily available in the United Kingdom.

Why are there different cartridges for the same printer model in different countries?

Re-configure the printer to accept the 363 cartridges available in the United Kingdom?

    Yes it is.

The printer accepts the UK cartridges you need a HP representative who will guide you through a specific regionalization process.
