Remote Desktop feature?

I was told that there is a way with CC 2014, that a user can somehow connect on another computer and discovers what he/she does and even show him how to do something.

1. What is this function?

2. how it works between different computers?

Thank you.

Hello

There is no such feature. Answers to frequently asked questions for 2014 CC can be found here - http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/creativecloud/faq.edu.html

    Hello Hallenhero,

    ·         What do Windows Vista version that you have installed on your computer?

You can not use Remote Desktop connection to connect to computers running Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Basic N or Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. You can, however, connect to these editions of Windows Vista on computers running other versions of Windows.

As a result, remote desktop is not available on these versions of Windows. You can see the bottom of the article for more information on this:

  • Remote Desktop left the unlocked console session after I disconnect, - BAD!

Often, I connect to my Home PC, Windows XP Pro SP3 running to work.  When I leave the House, the session is locked.

I recently discovered that when I disconnect from a remote desktop session, the computer is left * unlocked * even if I disconnect the session by locking the PC.

I'm fairly certain that it wasn't how things behave initially.  This change with SP3?

Currently, I connect to work with a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) machine, but there is this problem with my old laptop which ran from XP Pro SP3.

How can I stay locked to disconnect the console session?

END THE SESSION IS NOT AN OPTION.  I have user programs that run in the session that must continue to run. I have need of the session is running, but locked.

    Hello

In my case it was the full client of Teamviewer which is a problem, including a version earlier than 5.1.9385, when I upgraded to this one, the problem disappeared!

Now there's another question that should be checked, if you Live Mesh Beta (which runs on windows XP and not a new one which has no Vista/7), then there are chances that you have activated the Remote Desktop feature, you can find two devices under the 'View' node in the Device Manager named 'Live Mesh curtain Driver' and 'Live Mesh Mirror Driver. You can turn them off, restart and check if the problem persists.

A last suggestion if the above could not solve the problem is to update the drivers of network card in your machine.

    I hope this helps.

  • Remote Desktop on Windows 7 Professional, connect to Windows XP SP3.

original title: DISTANCE OFFICE WIN7 PRO on WIN XP HOME EDITION SP3.

I am trying to connect to a Win XP Home Edition SP3 computer laptop from a Win7 Pro on WLAN & Gigabit network. It always brings up this:

Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer to one of the following reasons:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled.

    (2) the remote computer is disabled.

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure that the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and remote access is enabled.

    DETAILS:

Windows XP Home Edition SP3 with RDP file Version: 6.0.6001.18589

Windows 7 Professional with RDP Version: 6.1.7601.17514

I also tried to download and install the latest RDP on the Microsoft Web site, and it starts to install goes up to 65% and then I get a popup saying:

"Remote Desktop connection cannot be installed because your operating system already has a built-in version. See all programs\Accessories\Communications\Remote Desktop connections on your Start menu. »

The Windows XP laptop has a wireless card, so I use a linksys WUSB100 V2. with my WRT610N Linkysys however Windows 7 is mostly on gigabit ethernet with router.

I tried to run RDP on WLAN & ethernet both. No luck yet. Help, please...!

P.S.: I need access to Windows XP laptop computer from my Win7 Pro laptop.

Hello who ever at microsoft of right. I have several computers in use around the House and learn more about the features and the robot of them every day the last project is networking with microsoft prouducts such as windows live Messenger and remote desktop. I was trying to install the Remote Desktop feature windows on windows xp family for the last two days, as I was doing research on technical specifications for this task, I came across information that revealed to me that remote desktop will not work on windows xp family I found it hard to believe that the designer of windows XP Home Edition doesn't have to see the need and or the desire for a husband/wife. teenage girl/teenager son incorporate the office function remotely in windows xp family only provided in windows xp professional. My question is XP Home Edition designers to see this after the fact and need somewhere in the downloads windows provided the software needed to integrate this feature because it can be very useful in helping in other remote sites.

Unfortunately, remote desktop can be used to access a computer of the publishing house.  But, you can use remote desktop to access a computer running XP Professional.  There is no room for this download for the home edition.  The only way would be to upgrade to XP Professional ortrick your computer into thinking that it is professional , which may or may not work.  Do this at your own risk.  I suggests that you do not try.  Then, you can download Remote Desktop fromhere .

  • Remote Desktop shows only not in system properties

I'm trying to allow connections on a portable computer and connect via the internet on another.
I've upgraded from vista Home Prem to Win 7 Home Prem 64 bit.
I am using the MS. Remote Desktop feature  I read MS Help directions.  When I open the System Properties window and go to the Remote tab, I have the current text of Remote Assistance, but there is NO Remote Desktop block in the window.  It's just not there.  Same situation on another laptop that I have improved.  Help indicates that the feature is available in all versions.  Have not loaded all the features during installation, pourrais I be looking in the wrong place or it is not available in the NVA Home Prem?
Can I access another computer remotely via the internet without this step?
Also, how can I identify my full computer name (I prefer just using an IP address if possible)?  Not connected to a domain (just an internet connection and the Working Group), how can I find the remote computer?
    Thank you, Ken.

I'm sorry, but Windows 7 Home Premium cannot accept office connections remotely on other computers.  This requires the complete edition or professional version.

All versions of Windows 7 can connect to another computer using Remote Desktop connection.  That's what shows the help file.

These programs allow Windows 7 Home Premium accepts connections remotely on other computers: TightVNC , TeamViewer , GoToMyPC .

To use TightVNC, your computer must have an IP address or DNS name.  Dynamics of most of the ISP issue IP addresses, which can change at any time.  You can use a dynamic DNS service like DynDNS or No-IP to give your computer a DNS name.

  • Remote Web Workplace - VBScript: Remote Desktop disconnected

Using Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003 SP1 Premium).  The Remote Web Workplace Remote Desktop connection has worked for years.  We apply Microsoft Updates to the server last week and since that time, we get a message telling VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected - the client could not connect to the remote computer.

We have verified that no other changes were made in the environment since the last time that this feature was working.  We looked on the web and on the Microsoft site, and none of the usual causes of this question seems to apply.  Other features SBS seems to operate normally.

We are looking for additional troubleshooting steps, we can take.

    Thank you.

  • The preliminary version of remote desktop connection has expired.

The preliminary version of remote desktop connection has expired.  To download the full version of remote desktop connection, go to Windows Update or contact your system administrator (Please give me the solution for this problem)

There are several ways you can solve the problem:

You can copy the files from a Windows XP SP2 computer and then Windows Remote Desktop should work again.
    a. c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll

    b. mstsc.exe

Copy the files in safe mode if not just windows will recreate the files even if you replace them or delete them

Or you can download an update from the Microsoft Download site and it will get your Remote Desktop works again.

  • If I configure Windows XP for automatic logon, then I can't access with Remote Desktop in Windows 7.

I have Windows XP on my old computer and Windows 7 on my new.

I have my old computer with auto-logon installation as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231, when it starts, it will automatically in Windows XP.

However, if I try to connect remotely from my new computer with Windows 7, I can I connect, but as soon as the old computer hangs on the spot, the automatic connect feature kicks in and the old computer connects again locally, actually expel the connection at a distance in a few seconds.

    Please notify. Thank you.

I think that this is normal, you cannot establish a remote desktop connection to a Windows XP computer when automatic login is enabled, I believe that this has been changed in Windows 7.

  • With XP Edition family and professional Remote Desktop connection

Why a person can have remote access to a computer that is operating system is XP Home Edition? Why must it be professional? A person who of the home computer has Vista, but work computer is XP Professional have access to their work computer?

The editions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 are not accessible using desktop remotely.  Microsoft has decided that the home computer users not need this feature.

XP Professional, Vista Business and Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate support access using remote desktop.

There are products that can do what you want in XP Home Edition, such as RealVNC .  A search on the web for remote access software should show more of them.
