Router Netgear WNR2000 abandons the connection to the server

I have a WNR2000 and I'm having a problem. Some sites connect you to the server, and some do not. Google mail is not connect ipad, iphone or Kindle. Ironically, Microsoft communities don't ususally connect. This from windows update 10.

I've updated the firmware. That solved the problem.

  • Seting a router, I need not the IP address of the DNS or a byte to 12 characters

using modem cable Comcast with wireless router Netgear G. unable to connect to the internet

    Hello

Usually, you need DNS static type you set up the side of the router WAN automatically obtain DNS and that it will use Comcast DNS.

    If you want static DNS.

    http://DNS.Comcast.NET/DNS-IP-addresses.php

However, there may be many other reasons for not having an Internet connection and you have not explained why you think DNS is the problem.

First step turn off the computer, unplug the router and the Modem.

Wait 3 nimutes, turn on the modem, wait 2 minutes and switch on the router, wait two minutes and turn on the computer.

If everything is ok this process resets the connection get a new ip address and returns the connection to the computer.

  • When Photosmart C6380 connects to the router Netgear WNDR3400, internet connection lost.

Using HP Photosmart C6380 wireless connection to a Netgear WNDR3400v2 router.  When the printer is on, all devices of lose the internet connection, but can be crazy.  Network WPA2 authentication. the printer shows WPA authentication configuration page so maybe that's the problem.  How can I keep my internet access while the printer is connected to the network?

FRST, make sure that your router has the latest firmware.

Let's define an IP address static and exeternal DNS of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Can connect to the wireless router, but not to the Internet

Because I could not find this post, I published in my problem to

Windows 7, connecting Local only, no Internet

I think I described the problem a bit better here.

I had a Gateway DX4300-17 with Windows 7 Home Premium for about six weeks. I connect to the Internet via a Netgear wireless router. My Internet connection dropped often, but I've always been able to reconnect to the Saturday. Since the start-up my computer Sunday, when I try to connect to the Internet, the system tells me that I am connected to the router, but there is no connection between the router and the Internet. I did a system restore to Friday, but it did not help. I searched the Knowledge Base and tried several things I found there. Running "sfc/scannow" indicates that all is well. I disabled the '6' Protocol (I don't remember the letters that were with this, but you probably know what I mean). This made no difference either. I thought I would ask for help here in the hopes of not having to restart the computer to the "hospital". That's a very different problem here barely a week. I need help, please.

    Hello Bill6009,

Have you tried to boot your computer in SafeMode w/network to see if the problem persists?

If so, try to perform a clean boot to see if you encounter the same problem.

Please post back your results if we can help get your problem solved J

  • Equium M70: card wireless regularly abandons the connection

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. My map regularly just Equiuim M70 wireless abandons its connection. If you browse on wireless networks, it seems my WEP encrypted network and it's one to connect to, as it says "Automatic" by him.
If you click Connect it crashes with just "Waiting for network. So he can reconnect I have to go to network connections, right-click on the wireless connection, turn it off, then turn it back on and then it reconnects quite happy.
I have the latest version of the installed Intel drivers and am allowing Windows XP manage connections.

My Thinkpad R50 does not suffer the same problems. My wireless hub is a Dlink G604T.

Has anyone else had similar problems - y at - it a cure? Is this a case of return my M70 and to repair/replace?

    Thank you

    Hello

This problem also appears if WEP encryption is disabled?
To me, it sounds like the card is not able to take the IP address automatically.
This similar issue happens on my Toshiba laptop not. Sometimes, I have to use the repair of the WLan connection option to renew the ip address.
It s not very serious problem for me and I can live with this question.

I read in a net that can sometimes happen because of encryption theWEP and SP2.
But if you want to get more details on the legs of connection on the M70, I suggest linking the Toshiba service partner in your country.
