  For me it looks like you might have a motherboard problem. Formatting removes the chance that it is a software problem. Try taking 1 stick of RAM and test with it. I recently encrypted disc, which seems to have made it is still slower. I use it to edit video and design, but they make crash all the time. He also says that I have 250 GB in apps (that is what takes up the majority of storage), while I only did less 50 GB.

  I back upwards on the time Machine and I was wondering if I should wipe and reinstall, but I fear that the encryption could cause me to lose access to the files, and I don't know if I can simply restore my back upwards or if I should reinstall everything manually.   The easy way to clear the dust and debris from the cooling system is to use a vacuum cleaner hose placed on the admission air grids that are usually in the bottom of the laptop (covered by a grid). For maximum effect, I usually place a rag around the pipe to maximize the flow of air through the fans.

  This causes air suction through the radiator CPU the wrong way and ensures that all debris are not pulled into the heatsink, but are removed by fans. You can see a ball of down under the grates that you need to try to clear little by little.

  This technique will not void your warranty since no disassembly of the unit is necessary.

  As "[email protected]", I have similar problems with my Satellite A60.

  After about 10 minutes of normal use on a hard, flat surface, the laptop starts to become very hot and turns off (obviously overheating). He started only when working with heavy editing workload, but is now it does all the time.

The PC go warm, until it crash and downtime. Then it is impossible to start for another ten minutes, or the driving power remains off.

  Some simple tasks can cause overheating too: I was very surprised to see Heroes III or Google Chrome with many tabs cause the crash as Crysis 2 or Shogun 2 TW.

  How could I solve this problem without adding a few external mechanical fan? This is a caracreristic of the product, or is it an effect of manufacturing on only my laptop?

  This is because all devices like CPU or GPU running at high performance and creates a lot of heat. This is nothing unusual. But it of unusual that your laptop is overheating.
  I think that the cooling fans and grilles are obstructed by dust and cannot cool the parts properly.

  The vents should be cleaned from time to time using a jet of compressed air.
  I have to do this from time to time on my laptop to avoid these annoying cell phone problems.

  Secondly, given that you had problems with Norton antivirus, you have any other software anti-virus/spyware running. If this isn't the case, it is possible that you picked up some malware that is causing excessive CPU activity which, of course, will produce much more heat from the CPU. Check your active processes in the Task Manager and also run an antispyware application appropriate (like AdAware or SpyBot) to ensure that your system is clean.

What I see happening now, is that it will heat up to 65 then the fan comes on and at 55 it stops. This can happen a few times, and then he forgets turn on the fan.
