Satellite E300 - USB disconnect upon awakening from sleep

I have a problem with my Satellite E300 with USB disconnected to the waking from sleep. I use a flash drive and an external hard drive with files that I'm trying to work. I often leave the files on the pending flash player and the computer goes to sleep while they are still open.

My problem comes when the computer wakes up to sleep because it will always unplug the flash drive as the computer wakes. I'll hear the disconnection and reconnection of the sounds and I got warnings on flash drive will not be disconnected safely. I even had the corruption of files on a couple of occasions.

I can't find anything in the power settings that works to stop this. My last computer never had this problem (LG), if a USB drive is connected when he went to sleep he would always be connected when he awoke.

USB remains connected, although he is asleep because I can use my USB mouse to wake the computer, but unplug it during the process of awakening. I searched on the net for solutions to this problem, there are others with the same problem, but nobody seems to have a solution that works.

Hello

Try turning off the energy saving for USB controllers.
In Device Manager, choose the USB Controllers-> properties-> last tab (power management)
Here uncheck the allow option to turn off the device to save energy

Good luck

    Hello
I have a new T540P with a validity fingerprint reader.

About 80% of the time, the fingerprint reader does not meet the windows login screen after the wake up the computer from sleep mode. It works 100% of the time when starting from a stop position, however. Once connected, it also works 100% of the time. The question arises when you log in to windows.

    I tried many things

-uninstallation/installation of the device in the Device Manager and finger print manager pro software

-prints of setting through two fingerprint Manager software pro (lenovo) OR through the windows built in options of the control panel of the fingerprints

-disabling "allow windows to turn off this device to save power" in Device Manager.

Thus, I must say that I have an another T540P I ordered as a replacement. Both models encounter the same problem.

Is it a matter of broad platform affecting all models of T540P? It's frusterating.

  • Satellite T110 - Defective Bluetooth after waking from sleep

SATELLITE T110 Bluetooth will fail after awakening from sleep.
The icon will be flick between white and green as he seeks my device (phone).

I ve reduced the problem to the laptop, because if I try to pair again phone to the laptop it fails. It's almost like he has a block?

Operate as planned, then I have to charge fully.
    Bluetooth connects then as planned.

It only became a problem because I installed the latest BIOS v 2.40
    I use the 64-bit Version.

When the problem occurs I run the Bluetooth Diagnostics and it comes back as fine no error reported. It s a pain now because I use the laptop mode "sleep" more off.

This is due to the new update of the bios.

Can you after waking from sleep just restart BT stack and try to connect to the mobile phone?
You mean that with the old version of the BIOS, everything was OK?

Last question: what was the reason for the update of the BIOS? I hope not the fact you want to have the latest version.

  • Satellite M200 - problem detection USB connect after waking from sleep mode

Hello. I need help! I'm having trouble with the laptop Satellite M200 (Vista) - after the awakening of the mode standby, none of the things connected to the USB port is detected, even if they worked perfectly before sleep. No mass reader, mouse, iPod is detected - even the SD for ready boost is not detected. Simple plug in and out calls any action (window AutoPlay etc.). Sounds like a BIOS problem but my laptop is completely up-to-date with all drivers and all the rest (of Windows and Toshiba support website). Would appreciate any advice. See you soon.

    > fully up-to-date with all the drivers and everything else
The latest version of the BIOS too?

  • Satellite P300 - white screen after waking from sleep state

    I'm having this problem:
The LCD screen may be empty when the computer is "awakened" from the sleep state. Nothing is visible on the internal LCD or an external monitor.

There seems to be a solution:
An update of the firmware for a component in the main circuit of the computer solves this problem. This update must be performed by an authorized Toshiba (ASP) Service provider. Until arrangements are made for the update, restart the computer by pressing the power on button for a few seconds.

In fact, I think I'm able to solve myself, and I don't like not my laptop to be gone for two weeks or more. I just need some advice on where to find a correct upgrade. Is - this driver BIOS or graphics? Which version should download, where... etcetera. More tips on how to solve the problem are also welcome.

If you check the Toshiba document you would see that your Satellite P300 is not related to this issue.

In your case I would recommend upgrading the BIOS and graphics driver.
In addition to keep your operating system up-to-date.

I had this problem under Win XP and a MS patch and an update of the graphics card driver helped solve this problem.

  • 10.11.4 position of the window off the screen after awakening from sleep + external display

Does anyone else have problems with windows being placed off screen when waking up their MacBook Pro from sleep mode or when using an external monitor?

I have a 15 "rMBP and regularly connect with lid closed to a Dell screen 4K P2715Q. Whenever I wake up from sleep, many of my windows are off-center and move the windows from the edge of the rightmost to the Center.

I can't say with certainty if it is specific to the application or for all windows, but Mail.app and Messages certainly do.

I will do some tests later and post updates. Thank you!

    Hello

I take this in system preferences > displays the mirror effect is on?

What resolutions are two screens to?

How to wake up the laptop from sleep?

If it is by lifting the lid is on the Mac you see it?

If it's the position carries no report available to the larger screen?  (i.e. If the laptop could match the larger screen resolution would be the 'shift' appear in the same place, as the laptop was a cut from the larger screen).

In system preferences > displays which is the screen to 'drive '?

  • Portege R830-10R: No. USB connection after recovery from sleep mode

    Nice day!

I have experienced the problem depending on my Portege R830-10R for a long time.

Quite often, when he recovers as soon as "sleep" mode it loses the ability to recognize USB devices and built-in 3G modem does not work as well.

After awhile, like 10-15 minutes of work (or), the problem is solved by itself, but normally, it is not the case.

If I try to send the laptop to Hibernate or "standby mode" again, while this problem is active, allows to say, it not put into hibernation and crashes on a midway with a black screen - so I have to stop it manually, and then start again.

Normally, the only way to solve the problem is to restart, but the issue comes after the next "standby".

Someone has something like this? Any solution available?

    Hello

    > Quite frequently, when he recovers as soon as "sleep" mode it loses the ability to recognize USB devices and built-in 3G modem does not work as well.

Have you noticed this behavior from the first day of purchase?

Only special USB devices assigned as USB flash memory stick or USB HDD or are
other devices such as the USB mouse or USB keyboard has also affected?

  • El Capitan - no USB power after waking from sleep

    10.11.2 OSX

When to wake up my MBP of sleep, the USB ports are not powered.  I have to reset to get my keyboard midi and audio DAC to work.
I confirmed this only happens on El Capitan by restoring my machine to the latest Yosemite backup, that I had and everything works as expected.

Does anyone have an idea where to look?

And if you have powered external usb HD, you get reprimanded for not properly eject the disc. A lot of complaints about this, but no response from Apple.

  • Satellite A200-238 - no wake mode from 'sleep'

    Hi all

When my laptop goes to sleep automatticly or 'forced', when I push the power button, it won't wake up.
I normally just push the powerbutton 1 time and he wakes up, but now its no longer works.

I shut down the pc by pressing the powerbuton for a few seconds.
I can't reinstall is the solution easy, but with all my data on it its not so easy to transfer everything.
So im wondering if there is any other way. The device is a satellite A200-238 (vista).
The mobo is the 1.00 ILHAM with bios V2.00.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

As I understand your problem, your notebook screen remains black and not wake mode hibernation or standby.

Well, buddy, I think I have good news for you the OS reinstallation is not necessary (as I m wrong completely ;)).

I see you are using the old BIOS.
So to my knowledge the BIOS update should help you resolve this annoying problem.

    Check it out ;)

    Good bye

  • Satellite L850-A635 does not wake from sleep mode

    purchase date: June 6, 2012

When I put it in mode 'sleep', he goes to sleep, but when I start, it awakens me unless I have remove the battery, put in place and turn it back on.

Please advise me how I can solve this problem

    Hello

What happens if you press the power button / stop 4 sec long?

Please run a HARD drive recovery procedure: (F8, fix my computer-> Toshiba HDD recovery)
Don't install any software, but test the "sleep mode" immediately after that drive HARD recovery is completed.

  • Satellite U405D-S2850: may not wake from sleep correctly

    Hello

My U405D sleep and can only wake place properly if he does not sleep for too long. Too long as in more than 15 minutes or more. If the laptop has overslept, the laptop wakes up, goes to the awake routine (snoring), then stops with a blank screen. All the lights on the laptop are, except for the light that is above the touch pad. In the State of the blank screen, nothing does, and I pressed the power button to restart the laptop. I have recently updated the BIOS to version 1.5 of the 1.3 version that came with the laptop in the hope that the problem is resolved with the update of the BIOS, but the problem remains. I know not if the awakening is successful if the light above the touch pad is enabled. An idea or a similar experience? The laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium SP 1.

    Thank you.

In my opinion, there is absolutely no hardware problem. If I well remember these issues were present in the past and above all he has difficulty with the BIOS or patch updates.

If you have a portable US model I recommend you to visit http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp. You will find updates useful support. Please also check ask Iris. Maybe you can find some technical document with a possible solution for this.

    Hello

You should check if your BIOS is up to date.

Usually, there is no special procedure to wake in Unity mode sleep or hibernation, you must press the power button (very short) and it will wake up the unit on the mode 'sleep'.

    Hey guys,.

I hope someone can help me with this... I have a 2015 mid pro 15' mbp and about 3 months ago, it began to show this problem, whenever I close a lid for like a hour or more, or standby manually, and when I come back and it up once again, he start connection losses for like a minute, after waiting, he returned again to a wifi connection... I have to say its strange, especially when I active power nap...

To be honest, Im not sure if its failure of my router (which is Asus RT AC55U) or macbook, if someone could answer me with some advice or guide I would be grateful

Or is - this common cause? I was looking for a little bit, but found only questions that he used to connect again at all. (Mine reconnects in 1 minute or so, but I like things quite well, and it drives me crazy, because I don't know why the connection loss occurs).

Once again thanks for any advice/help etc.

WiFi will probably through authentication after waking up

Try plugging a router and modem for 90 seconds and plug it back

See if this will have an impact
