Unfortunately, it is unclear to me. Where did you find!

But you might check some short key like FN + F2 or to disable and enable the FN + F9 touchpad

    Hello

I m wondering that you have installed Windows 7 on this good old classic. In my opinion Windows XP would be the best choice, but ok, you can do what you want ;)

Anyway, AFAIK your laptop is equipped with an Intel graphics card then I recommend to download the driver form Intel directly because the Web from Toshiba site displays only the Windows XP display drivers.

  • Satellite L10-104 - the upgrade of CPU and RAM

    Hello

does anyone have a Toshiba Satellite L10-104 with more than 1 GB of RAM installed? I'm one of these laptops for upgrade and reinstall the operating system and other software. Toshiba says that it only supports 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) of RAM but Intel says techdocs this Notebpook (i855GM) chipset will support 2 GB RAM Max.

The other question is, is the CPUupgradeable? The laptop has more no guarantee and I am an experienced user and I see no problem to install a new processor in a laptop.

According to the specifications of l 10:

    standard: 256 MB
    maximum extension: 1 024 MB
    technology: DDR RAM

So, I don't think that it can support up to 2 Gb

  • Satellite L10-205: the RAM size has really questions?

My Satellite L10-205 received just 256 MB of RAM. What I do or is it necessary to increase the size of the RAM. What is the best size to speed up the performance of my laptop. Can someone give me tips, please thank you.

    Hello

Well, the high memory value gives you portable more performance.
The fact is that the new software needs of more memory. As much as I know this laptop also shipped with shared memory graphics card. In your case if the graphics card uses 64 MB main memory if the software can use only 192 MB.
In my opinion the laptop should a min 512 MB.
You can upgrade your laptop with PC2100 DDR - RAM maximum. 1024MB.

    These modules are memory compatible:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

It only works at full speed (made a lot of noise) or stop, I noticed that my friends toshiba satellite fan (also celeronM) works at different speeds, such as laptops with centrino.

There's this problem with my laptop, or maybe it's normall for celeron M370. Is there a software for satellite power with celeronM management?

    Hi Darek

Number of units of Toshiba have preinstalled Toshiba intelligence tool and it is possible to make different settings for the activity of the CPU and cooling method as well. Unfortunately, your device is preinstalled without this designed Toshiba utility.

Computer Satellite phone has your friend?
Check to see if he can change the parameters of cooling energy saving method.

  • VGA driver for Vista - Satellite L10

I installed Windows Vista Final (by MSDN subscription at my office) on my laptop Toshiba Satellite L10-209. Everything works great except that the graphics card (VGA) is not set correctly. The VGA adapter is a 128MB, but the system of information under the "Accessories" section displays the VGA RAM like 'not supported '. I think he needs a new driver. Is this right? And where can I find the driver? Help, please! ...

    Hello

I think that you need to don t new graphics driver. I think you misunderstood something and it s a misinterpretation of this message.

Satellite L10-209 was delivered with a shared memory graphic card and doesn t does not support its own memory.
This is why I think that the message RAM VGA - not taken in charge"means that the card doesn't support memory clean but uses main memory of s for laptop.

  • Satellite L10-190 - Display driver for Windows 7

    Hello

read the message below * I * wonder about this anwer * support Toshiba! Why * not * install Win 7 on a 'former '? I did the same and it works very well. But I had the same problem as Assim. And everyone knows that Intel didn't intend to allocate a Win 7 driver for this chip (INTEL 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics). In my opinion, this is not correct behavior.

I think TOSHIBA or INTEL should allocate such a driver for their clients. It would be a minimum of support. Maybe you think...

    Hey Buddy,

Why is this Toshiba support response? I have never seen anyone from Toshiba here so it s called user in forum.

I put t know where found this answer, but I agree with it. In my opinion Windows XP seems to be the best choice in old enough Satellite L10.

In any case, if Intel doesn't provide new drivers Windows 7 for this chipset, it s not a Toshiba error. You can only try the Vista driver because most Vista drivers work on Windows 7.

    Hello

I reformatted my Satellite L10 and managed to pull the best of drivers to use, but I can't seem to get the wireless working.

I installed the Realtek driver http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads

I also tried to install the InProComm driver, but the installer crashes just after a while.

Anyone know what could be the problem? All solutions?

    Hello

What operating system do you use?
I checked Toshiba driver download page and looked for the driver for Satellite L10. Here, I can only find a driver Intel WLAN for Vista and the driver InProComm for XP but I can t find a Realtek WLAN driver.
It seems that your laptop is equipped with an Intel card check so the Toshiba site again:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Before you install the driver WLAN make sure that WIFI is turned on with the hardware switch on the computer laptop and FN + F8.

Is 2 x 512 MB modules the maximum RAM for this computer?

  • Satellite L10-232: black screen after closing the lid.

    Hello

I moved my laptop (satellite L10-232) in another room, it wasn't stop (just closed it). When I opened it there was nothing on the screen and the battery is not empty (processor still does some things). Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you

    Easy...
PowerManagement is weaker and less stable features on any laptop. (especially with the defective batteries).
NEVER try to count on the home screen etc. It will work time 999 and 1000 it don't.
Now, you're done with a laptop computer hanging.
    The ways:
    1. the easy way:
-push the power button and keep your finger on it for 10 seconds. (5 is enough, 10 to be sure)
    -remove the battery
    -plugin powercable
    -push the powerbutton

    2. the less gentle way:
    -remove the power cable
    -Remove the battery
    -wait 24 hours
    -Insert the power cable
    -push the power button

    3. the hard way: make sure THAT YOUR HARD DISK IS NOT PASSWORD PROTECTED, to OTHER YOU LOOSE YOUR DATA.
trying to understand hat is the startup key sequence to reset the BIOS at startup. (it should be described in your manual somewhere)

    4. the hardest way:! ONLY BY A PROFESSIONAL!
IF MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DISK IS NOT PROTECTED BY WORD, OTHERWISE YOU LOSE YOUR DATA.
The laptop must be open and all batteries must be removed. All the capacitors must be emptied (leaving a laptop without the battery for 72 h). Then turn on
    the laptop.

Please note that I can't be held responsible for any damage or loss of data under any circumstances.

I have a satellite L10 pro with a celeron m 370 1.5 ghz 400 fsb 1 MB cache mounted. I want to move to a p4. can someone tell me the max p4 it takes? also can I put the dvd cd rw on a rw dvd by simply replacing the disc? If Yes, what is the part number for the drive? Thank you very much.

    Hello

As much as I know the laptop comes with different processors.
Centrino Pentium M 725 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz
    Centrino Pentium-M 735 processor 1.7 GHz
    Intel-Celeron-M (Dothan), 1.4 GHz,
    Intel-Celeron-M (Dothan), 1.5 GHz,
Intel-Celeron-M (Dothan), clocked at 1.6 GHz

I recommend you ask the guys at Toshiba for a compatible CPU service partner.
But I don't know if it is possible to remove the old CPU. Possible, it is fixed on the motherboard and you cannot remove it.

  • 'Bad Machine' error when I start the recovery on Satellite L10 media

    Hello...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L10-103 and I want to make the recovery, since I have constant errors and my wireless does not work.

When I put on CD, everything is ok, I press F12 and get the choice when I want to access computer. I select the CD/DVD drive. That produces the recovery starts and I get this error message:

"Wrong Machine! This software is designed for personal computers TOSHIBA '

    What's wrong with it?

    Hello

Are you sure that the recovery CD you are using is designed for Satellite L10 - 103 to 110%?
    Please check this!

But if you use the same recovery CD that came with the laptop, and you still get the same error message, then the false DMI information that is stored on the motherboard might be responsible for this error message and might prevent to recover.

This can occur if the motherboard has been replaced and that the technician has not updated the DMI string.
