Satellite L10-333 starts

I have a Toshiba L10-333
and without reason, he decided that he no longer wants to start.

Basically, you can activate... He will come to the top of the toshiba screen (where you can press f12 etc) then it goes straight to the screen that says that he has not been previously arrested properly. So you must select from the following text starts windows normally starts in safe mode, start in safe mode with promt, starts in safe mode with network. BUT... When you choose one of these options, it does nothing. goes to a black screen and the rest of the way until you get angry and turn off.
Oh and when start in one of the safe mode option it a list of things real and then stop at one of the lines.

Please help :D

PS I tried the recovery disk, it goes to all the steps but when it will restart... same thing happens.

I m wondering on which recovery disk didn't solve the problem. Normally, this seems to be a Windows problem

I can't tell what the problem, but in your case, I would check the disk with Drive Fitness Test:
http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
With the Drive Fitness Test, you can test your HARD drive. Download the CD image, burn it to a CD and boot from it. You can then the HARD drive.
On the same site is a user's guide if you want to know more.

  • Satellite L10-333: screen stays black, until I hit the edge of the screen

I have a Satellite L10-333, which is about 3 years old, it has suddenly started having screen problems.
It started with a white screen instead of the normal and a black line all downstairs in the middle.

Now when I turn on the pc, the screen remains black and dead until I hit the edge of the screen and when the screen comes alive, I must hold and press part of the cover, so that the display stays on...

    Anyone know what's the problem?
I thought it might be a loose wire or connection.
Someone else has or had this problem?

    Thanks for your help...

I agree with you. It must be a contact problem. In my opinion, it is not important if anyone else has this problem too and you have to find the solution as soon as possible.
The laptop must be disassembled and check the connection of the screen. Now the question is what to do. Can you check it alone or you need professional help?

  • Satellite L10-333 without BACKLIGHT on screen

My Toshiba L10-333 when turned on lights and display also, only that there is no lighting, so I don't see anything on the screen without the help of an outside light.

If there is someone who can help with this problem please please help. I think that it has to do with, the power of the LCD. If the main power circuit problem, can it be bypassed? Even if it means losing control over the brightness of the screen?

Any ideas would be welcome. Also, if anyone has the circuit of Satellite L10-333, please report it. Thank you.

In such a case, you should send your machine to an authorized repair partner since it clearly sounds like a hardware failure. If I were you I would not try to repair it by oenophile because when not with something you might destroy your whole machine.

If you need assistance to find an ASP simply go to the Toshiba Mainpage (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/) go to Support downloads & -> support homepage-> find an authorized Service partner

  • 'Bad Machine' error when I start the recovery on Satellite L10 media

    Hello...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L10-103 and I want to make the recovery, since I have constant errors and my wireless does not work.

When I put on CD, everything is ok, I press F12 and get the choice when I want to access computer. I select the CD/DVD drive. That produces the recovery starts and I get this error message:

"Wrong Machine! This software is designed for personal computers TOSHIBA '

    What's wrong with it?

    Hello

Are you sure that the recovery CD you are using is designed for Satellite L10 - 103 to 110%?
    Please check this!

But if you use the same recovery CD that came with the laptop, and you still get the same error message, then the false DMI information that is stored on the motherboard might be responsible for this error message and might prevent to recover.

This can occur if the motherboard has been replaced and that the technician has not updated the DMI string.

  • Re: Satellite L10-90 - time settings are wrong if I start the next computer

Hi, I have Satellite L10-90 with XP Home. The time setting is always bad for about a month. I synced the time and it seems to be fixed. But if I start the computer the next day, the time is wrong again. I found some information in Google. Some people say that the battery on board already is discharged and must be re-read by a new one.

I don't know what could be the reason. If I need a new battery, where it is on this computer, and how to change?

    Help will be appreciated.

  • Re: Satellite L10 dosen't start

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite L10 series, I used it for about 6 months without battery I plugged it to the adapter immediately.

Yesterday, it was good, but today I can not start the laptop that there is no sign of power, it is only a litle sound when I plugged it to food.
Then I tried to start up to the stack works correctly until the battery runs out and the battery doesn't work not recharged again.

Where is the problem? Motherboard or a power regulator?
The motherboard is integrated or not?

    I'm looking to get help.

    Thanks in advence.

    Hello

    > So I tried to start the top of the stack works correctly until the battery runs out and doesn't battery again.

You want to say the powers of mobile using the battery, but doesn t start if the power adapter is plugged?

Hmm sounds like an AC adapter it's maybe deliver defective s.
The fact that there is no sign of direct connect adapter for laptop could confirm my hypothesis.

But of course there could be something wrong with the motherboard.
Maybe the power supply electronic problem. ?:| who knows. I think this could be answered only by a technician who checked the motherboard

However, before the motherboard would be verified, you should check if new AC adapter help you solve this problem.

  • Satellite L10-119 freezes after RAM upgrade

My Satellite L10 is 4 years old. I wanted to update this change of RAM and HARD disk.
I installed in RAM DDR1 SoDimm 1 GB PC-3200 (a unit) and used my computer for a few hours.

But next time, he started to make mistakes and freeze or stop going to the blue screen.
When I use DDR1 SoDimm 512 MB PC-2700 as a single unit, everything is OK.

Will not track with * 1 Gb PC - 3200 * to use?

    Hello

    Case is clear!
    > When I use DDR1 SoDimm 512 MB PC-2700 as a single unit, everything is OK
You used the not entirely compatible RAM modules!
This is the reason why your laptop freezes!

The fact is that your L10 can be upgraded to 1 GB RAM max, this means you need to use max 512 MB RAM module in a slot

In addition, you can use the PC2700 200 pins (333 Mhz) DDR SODIMM modules and not of PC3200

  • Satellite L10-226, what memory inside?

    Hello

I am interested in buying a portable satellite L10-226, but it has only 256 MB of DDR Ram. For this reason I will update the Ram 512 MB DDR - Ram after buying. What memory does Toshiba use for this model (Timings/speed/producer)?
If I get a 512 MB DDR - Ram inside and sell the original 256 MB Modul, is there any warranty issue, if the laptop has a defect or I am authorized to change memory by myself?

    Thanks for your help,

    Kind regards

    BoLzI

    Hello

I can't find any specific details for the L10-226, but I found some information for the L10-224, which has two available RAM slots and uses 1 x 256 MB module or module 1 X 512 MB, leaving 1 spare slot.

If you L10 - 226 has this configuration so your cheapest upgrade would be to add a second 256 MB module to the second slot giving you a total of 512 MB. The module for this is 200-pin PC2700 (333 Mhz) DDR SODIMMreference number PA3311U-1 M 25

The module of 512 MB is PA3312U-1 M 51part number.

The mnodules of RAM are components replaceable by the user so changing them will not affect your warranty at all. However, if your computer is then sevelops a fault with the modules of RAM, then you would not be able to get them has changed under warranty Toshiba, you must return yourself to the vendor from whom you got their.

  • Satellite L10-102 RAM upgrade does not

    Hello

I bought 512 MB PC3200 RAM for my L10. After installing the module the computer failed to initialize. I tried all possible combinations (like changing slots, only install new modules), but the computer only starts with the original module. I would appreciate any help on the issue.

    Concerning

    Hello

    Satellite L10 needs this memory:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

  • Satellite L10 - Hotkey.exe error after booting Windows 2000

I've installed Windows 2000 on my Satellite L10 rather
XP. After installing the utility Hotkey-I get an Error Message at every boot:

Hotkey.exe - Entry Point not found
The procedure entry point WTSUnRegisterSessionNotification could not be loaded into the WTSAPI32.dll dynamic link library.

Same error Message When you try to manually start the Hotkey.exe.

How can I solve this problem? The system works, but the
    Keys not.
Thank you in advance for help!

P.S.: As I read on the web, this error has nothing to do with the missing operating system XP - maybe the HotKey software does not work with Windows 2000. Where can I get a Hotkey software work for Windows 2000 for Satellite L10?
I try to find it on the download from Toshiba site, but there is that some drivers for the L10 on Toshiba.com and the European server are only readers for XP :(

    Hi turmeric

All the drivers, tools, and utilities are designed separately for each operating system. This means that you can not use tools designed for Windows XP Home edition with other operating system. You don't find utilities and tools because your device is not supported for the Windows 2000 operating system.
    I'm sorry.

  • Satellite L10-194 cannot run after recovery

Hello! I used my Satellite L10-194 for a few years, and he started to be really slow, I decided to reinstall the system (recover) to make it cleaner and faster.
I found my recovery of product L10 DVD - ROM, but when I finished the system restore would not start. I tried the recovery for some time, and it does not help. Whenever I try to start the computer, when it goes to load the system it just turns off (I think that it is something like the blue screen flashes for a second).

I checked the disk file image in advanced mode and HARD, and that's OK. But when I do HDD-> image in advance mode, after it is sometimes a moment when I have access to the command line. After getting "dir C:" I don't see a Windows directory (?), when restarting the computer does not work as usual. I'm doing something wrong?

I tried another CD of product recovery of the second Toshiba laptop that I have, and it works, it installs Windows but without pilots and things (it's a completely different model from Toshiba). What should I do? I'm not sure if the use of system preinstalled for model is the right idea (and legal)?

I had some problems with my front L10, and I had to change the motherboard. In service, what they said that they can't find a motherboard identical like that in my L10, so they used some different model. It's maybe the problem of recovery does not work why?

    PS.
Sorry for my English, please correct me in my errors, to help me improve the language :)

    > I had a few problems with my front L10, and I had to change the motherboard. In service, what they said that they can't find a motherboard identical like that in my L10, so they used some different model. It's maybe the problem of recovery does not work why?

I think that this is the reason why your laptop does not start after the recovery procedure.
Seems that the drivers that are part of the image are not compatible with the new motherboard.
Maybe the driver chipset or make sure you graphics card drivers some worries and windows crashes before starting the system
Maybe you could star the windows in safe mode. Press F8 just after pressing the power button / stop. Then choose Safe mode.
In safe mode, uninstall the chipset driver and the graphics driver and then try to start it again.

If that does not help, then install windows using a clean Microsoft CD.
Pilots should be placed on the page of European driver of Toshiba.

    welcome them
