Satellite L630-00V - need to partition table

Hello to you guys...

So I really screwed up here, I did my girlfriend buy a laptop (Toshiba Satellite L630) and also a new hard drive to replace the one on the inside because they have slow (5400 RPM)

I've used ghost to clone the drive inside the laptop to the new one I mounted in a housing that is connected via USB to the computer.

Although I double checked everything and that the destination drive was the good the bad thing happened, the blank disc has been cloned on the full.

I don't think that all my data are deleted, because there were at least 70 GB of commands on the computer (3 recovery partitions and Windows 7 one) and I doubt enough that it can all be erased within 5 seconds.

I used GetBackData for NTFS witch scanned the hard drive for about 05:30 (Yes, 5 hours and a half) and well found a lot of files... If right now I copy all partitions said based on another hard drive...

I'll have to do the scan a 2nd time to get Fat32 partitions...

Something that would be useful for me is to have the partition table of a released factory Toshiba L630-00v (500 GB HDD) *.

Beginning and end clusters would be really useful, I would be able to rebuild my much easier partition table

And oh, no idea how to get the OEM Windows 7 cd to a new facility? They were paying for a copy of windows with their computer, their must be a way to install it...

Thank you very much! ;)

Hello

Now, you can get money from Toshiba Recovery disk.

For European models:

American models:

What happens if put you the old hard drive to make a recovery disk and replace it with a new one, then... Then you will be able to restore the factory settings on the new hard drive with a recovery disk. Or you have not previously burned?

  • Satellite L630 - 16K - Chaning the size of the partition

Hey guys, I hope someone will be able to help me with this. Recently bought a TOSHIBA Satellite L630 - 16K, running Windows 7, works very well. But I really don't like how the default partitions have been put in place.

I basically want to extend the Windows partition (C :), which is 148,89 GB, in the amount of data (D :) which is the same size. This is where HDDRecovery files, so don't want to mess with it.

The problem is, whenever I have the volume (D :) and a new volume of vacuum is created to the right of it, Windows (c) cannot be extended in this new volume, because it is on the far right, and from what I can tell you can only expand in a new volume if it is directly on the right.

I created recovery DVD to my laptop as recommended by someone else, but I still hesitate to play on too with (d). I want to just large enough to hold the HDDRecovery files and then have all of (c) for everything else on my computer. Here's a screenshot of my set up disk management: http://oi54.tinypic.com/f4ml45.jpg.

    Thoughts?

    Hey,.

As much as I know which extends from the Windows partition is not possible with the built-in Windows disk management tool. Therefore, you need another tool that allows you to change the Windows partition.

    Hi all

I just bought my first Toshiba L630/037 (http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products/notebooks/satellite/l630/psk04a-037001/specifications#details) and I'm really excited that I'm waiting to load for hours first 2 or if, after perform you a unboxing conversion it!
He looks bloody awesome and I can't wait to start using it!

    You have a few questions:
    1. when I received it, the sticker that keeps the top down was already torn (as in a person already open).
The clerk said that everything is fine with it, so we opened it to check that the main seal for the laptop has not been broken and that the adapter and cable was there. Now that I'm home and I have everything out, I noticed that I have no CD.
Is that suppose to be right? I'm a bit confused because the last laptop that I bought a few of the installation CD and the drivers that came with it. In addition, is there something else I should be aware of that should have been in the box?
All I have is the power cord, power adapter, manual, portable with battery already in it.

    2. in the purchase, there are already standard warranty 1 year that comes with the laptop. I noticed on the Toshiba site, you can buy an extended warranty. Should I buy now? Or can I get, say 1 week before the end of year 1?

If anyone has useful tips or advice that would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon!

    > I took everything out, I noticed that I have no CD.
Yes, that's right. No CD is delivered pre-installed Toshiba Software is on the HARD drive and you can create a clean recovery disk! Please see the operating manual!

    > Should I buy now? Or can I get, say 1 week before the end of year 1?
Well, as far as I know you don t need to buy the extended warranty immediately after the laptop was purchased

    I found this info:
    > Q: When can I buy the extended warranty?
    > A: the extended warranty is eligible to purchase, during the period of warranty the laptop

Don't know what you're asking. Are you asking how to create a table partitioned using a TIMESTAMP column (6) for the key?

    CREATE TABLE TEST1
    (
        USERID NUMBER,
        ENTRYCREATEDDATE TIMESTAMP(6)

PARTITION BY RANGE (ENTRYCREATEDDATE) INTERVAL(NUMTOYMINTERVAL(1, 'MONTH'))
    (
        PARTITION P0 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('1-1-2013', 'DD-MM-YYYY'))

  • Desperately need help - "the partition table on device sda was unreadable." Erase all data?

I'm forced to install CentOs on my Macbook using a machine virtual (VMWare, which is what I downloaded my teacher recommended). It's for my first class of operating systems, so bare with me because I don't know anything about operating systems (except about how to use Windows and my Macbook). I am also a daughter, what makes my same technical knowledge that much more rare. However, I am eager to learn...

In any case, I downloaded them both. When I launch Fusion, I choose the file> New> install Windows or another OS on a virtual machine> continue without disk> click on the button that says 'Operating system installation disc using image file'> then I select the appropriate iso CentOS (CentOS - 5.4 - i386-bin-1of6) file> continue> drop down lists, I choose LINUX as operating system and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 as my Version> continue-> finish (no customization settings). It appears the screen of CentOS and I am invited by a text asking me if I want to install in text or graphics mode. (Don't know what to do here, but I select the graph). A bunch of white text scroll a screen of black background, then a blue screen shows up saying: 'Welcome to CentOS' at the top and a gray screen that says "to start testing CD media before installation OK press. Choose Ignore to ignore the media test and launch the installation. "I click on the red button (even once, if it is incorrect, let me know). A few rows of white text on black background (from anaconda... something on a video card...) then a nice graphic display of CentOS which I click NEXT. I then select English as my tongue (twice) and I gives me the message:

"The partition table on device sda (VMware, VMware Virtual S 20473 MB) was unreadable. To create new partitions, it must be initialized, cauing the loss of all DATA on this drive. This operation will replace all choice on what players to ignore previous installation. You would like to initialize this drive, erasing all THE DATA? »

I have no idea what to do here. I googled the message and others have been too, but they can talk about some hard file (and I have no idea what it is, and I can't seem to find mine).

I can't lose what's on my hard drive (my school, music, photos, applications, files etc.). Clicking YES will erase my HD? I'm terribly afraid. I need to get this thing installed so I can do my operating systems class work, but I don't know if I did the installation correctly so far and especially, what to click at this point. Can someone help me out please (I spent 4 hours on this one today. "I have no one else to ask)? Finally, the installation is almost done after this step?

Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated.

I do not use Fusion, but I have VMware Workstation on Windows. I went through the same process that you went through. The answer to your question is that when you choose the operating system you install and you choose the option for the installation disc, it creates a virtual hard drive for you, size 20 GB. When they ask you to erase the hard drive, it's clear that virtual you create, not your actual computer hard drive. You can check by looking at the properties of the hard drive on your computer. It's probably 250 GB or 500 GB or something big like this. The CentOS WARNING speaks of a 20 GB hard drive, which is the size of the disk that VMware Fusion (and Workstation) create for CentOS.

    Hello

As far as I know, dbms_redefinition didn't even know about the partitioning:

    1. you create a new empty table that matches your need + (that is where you defined you new partition key) +.
    2. you start the names of submiting of redefinition of existing and newly created table 'interim' table
    3. you leave enough time to get the work done
    4. you have finished redefining (the name of the table are swapped)
    And voila!

Be sure to test thorougly the process of redefinition and the performance impact that may occur until you make it to your production !

Some sites say they have a webcam of 1.3 and others say a camera 0.3? Any who own one of these and can tell me actually what they have?

If I had to choose one with a camera of 0.3, the image is still ok? It really would be for Skype, but it s always annoying when the person you re talking to is a blurry mess!

I hardly believe that Toshiba has 0.3 megapixels, even my old cell phone from 5 year 1.2 megapixel camera :). According to me, the camera is pretty good making photos.

    Hello

I suggest that you use the tool to disks in Ubuntu to mount your Windows partition.
If the partition is damaged in an aborted recovery (or other reason), you will need to invest a lot of time and effort to successfully recover your data.

  • Satellite L630 dead after BIOS update

    Hello

I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite L630 laptop model PSK00E-017019EN (British model).

An analysis of software Toshiba recommends an update of the BIOS and that I had a few problems with the laptop, I decided to let it run... big mistake!

The laptop will now not enter bios is effectively dead.

I downloaded different versions of the crisis Phoenix Recovery Disk (that will build a bootable USB key with MINIDOS. SYS, PHLASH16. EXE and a generic BIOS. WPH) and have also downloaded the latest version of the BIOS on the toshiba site.

The downloaded BIOS Toshiba is an exe SL630_L635_WIN_B140.exe file that will extract the following files using WINRAR (I tried also pick up the files in %Temp%, after you run the exe with the same result).

The files that I get are:

    BB10140. FD (4170kb)

    Ding.wav (104 KB)

    InsydeFlash.exe (764 KB)

    iscflash.dll (1760 KB)

    iscflash.sys (14 KB)

    iscflashx64.sys (23 KB)

    and platform.ini (9kb)

I expect to see the real bios in the form xxxx.rom or xxxx. WPH so that I could add this to the bootable flash drive to reflash the bios.

So my real question, can someone direct me to where I can download the correct BIOS. ROM file for this laptop and also where I can get the right version of the software Phoenix crisis Recovery Disk.

Also could you confirm the correct key sequence to start on crisis Recovery flash drive... I've seen talk of the F and B FN FN (both used without battery and plugging in the adapter, then power button / stop)... the FN routine F seems to start the Flash Player, but obviously without the right file WPH will not solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Phil

To be honest, I don t think that BIOS ROM module needs to be replaced.
In my opinion the ROM module must be flashed again using a special disc of crisis of the BIOS.
I recommend you contact Toshiba service and pay a small fee for the flash ROM module.
It is much better solution to handle the motherboard.

  • Change of card wireless in the Satellite L630

    Hello

I recently bought a Satellite L630, which has a Realtek 8172 (or possibly a 8191SE;) I can't say the PCI ID) wireless chipset.
I installed a 64 bit version of Linux on it and there seems to be a total lack of support of the drivers for the wireless card.
The Realtek driver only a binary blob and blocks my entire system when I try to load it.

I have a card Intel 4965AGN Minipci wireless lying around that I know works very well under Linux, and I want to spend this card wireless with the Realtek card if possible. First of all, I need a few questions answered:

    1. the Satellite L630 use a miniPCI wireless card slot?
    2. about the motherboard location wireless card? (I can't find all the L630 anywhere internal diagrams)
    3. If I do this, it void my warranty?

    Thanks for your help!
    Nick

    > 1. The Satellite L630 use a miniPCI wireless card slot?
Yes, the L630 and other new age Toshiba laptops support slot for WLan miniPCI card.

    > 2. About where on the motherboard the wireless card is it located? (I can't find all the L630 anywhere internal diagrams)
I think the Bay of WLan is placed at the bottom of the unit.
To my knowledge it s secured with a screw.

    > 3. If I do this, it void my warranty?
    Yes, I think so.

    Hi all

First post!, my new Core I3 Satellite L630 - 16L (win 7 home prem 64-bit) seems to be freezing at least once a day (it seems to be only after that he was awakened fashion 'sleep' - after having closed the lid) he works when awake for about 10-15 minutes then everything freezes and have to shut down and restart?

All the drivers are current and only toshiba newsletter I find near this lock upward / gel error refers to a driver problem for a fingerprint reader - who doesn't have this model!

Any ideas? I have not really loaded well could try a system restore, but I don't think its related software!

Will disable the "sleep mode" for now to see if I still have the problem tomorrow. (seems to be once a day, usually just at the moment where the navigation - not doing anything whatsoever in the background and not on a particular site, just move the mouse, it locks! I need to then press the power button / stop for 3 seconds - weird!)

    Hey Buddy,

And what's happening now? Do you have any news about this?

If it doesn t work I would still try a recovery facility disk recovery and HARD drive recovery system. It s worth a try because this problem might be software related
