  I think that you need to check many options that could have a negative influence on the WLan connectivity.
  First of all, you should check if the Wlan router supports WLan standard even as the Wlan card. For example 802.11 B or G or both

  Disable all ciphers on the router as well as the MAC address filtering.
  Then check the WiFi channels! Try to use the same channel on the map of local area network on the router.

  Which driver do you use? Try to download the latest WLan driver Atheros site.
  I think the Atheros provides the own local network configuration utility. Try to use it.

  If the MAC address filtering enabled your WLan card mac address has been inserted, then your laptop wouldn't connect.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A110-378 series and a wireless network problem. The card is an Intel 3945abg. I can connect with the router ADSL (USR9106) with WPA security is enabled. All work well, Audio, video, everything outside the wireless card. I enabled from the BIOS and everything and yet when I press FN + F8 it does not activate. The drivers are properly installed, as Windows 7 brings the upgrade of drivers. He said that the card works fine, but it does not turn on and search for Wifi signals. The Orange of the WIFI led does illuminate not.

  If anyone has a solution for this problem, I would be very grateful. I don't know what can be the problem, the software or the hardware.

  Why you can t replace your IP address?
  First to connect properly, check if you need a static IP address or if you get an IP address from your router (DHCP).

  If you use encryption, make sure you typed the correct password. Disable filtering of MAC addresses in the router to connect properly.

  Last but not least, make sure that you have installed the new firmware on your router.

  According to your assignment on resets the router I think that it s properly configured. Check the router security options if the SSID is visible and then encryption and password. Also, make sure that the MAC address filtering is not enabled.
