  • (Redirected) Technical support Dell India

I can't get a single issue resolved thanks to the support of the India. I am now almost 3 hours on the dell call queues and the fool falls my line and never remember. I've been a loyal customer of Dell for far too long.  At this point, I have never, never, never buy another dell product. I hope that this complaint gets to an American, because these people of India to DO NOT GIVE A. Oh well, in the call queue I. What a scam. I tried and I tried to get this solved, but people of the India seem to block my complaints, so I send them here. I ask them where to complain and they send me to another the India Center. Dell realizes that this process is totally dysfunctional... broken... loyal customers costs? What a waste. I can't say enough bad things here.  It's just too long.

  • How can I get rid of the fake Support of Apple Web sites?

Recently I've been doing pop-ups from sites like MacKeeper and Apple Support (not official supported by Apple).  He is the one who warned me that the pop-up windows is enabled and that my computer is in danger (des.desireaid.info), and once I get this window, I can't get by without forcing them to leave Safari.  I deleted the history, but also cookies and it will be good for a couple of connections on Safari, but I can't seem to get rid of it for good!  The one that bothers me is that sometimes opens when I click on the Support button on the Apple site.  This website is called "Apple Support!"  In fact, I called the company des.desireaid.info to tell them I wanted out of my browser and computer advertising, and a gentleman, who sounded incredibly like the gentlemen who call to tell me that my computer sends error messages, told me that 1) it was not an advertisement (although there is a clause of disclaimer at the bottom that clearly started with CE IS a ADVERTISING) and 2) he will have to take control of my screen to remove (and delete all my personal information, as well, I'm sure)!

While I was typing this, I had actually the following message appears:

    How can I stop this?

I'm running a 1 T 27 "iMac with El Capitan and I use Safari as my browser.

See: a local browser took more than Safari.

  • Scam PC Support

    Original title: support for PC?

I recently had a problem w my PC. I called my cable co. and they me transferred to HP (Lim). The person thr looked at my record and said that he was "damaged" and my PC was in danger to stop working. He me transferred to someone in a co. called QualiTechy. They installed CC Cleaner and promised support for one year for $199.99. This is a litle weird. Similar experiences?

    Hello

It is the CV database by telling you that you have a problem.

"The person thr looked at my book and pronounced it as"corrupt"

This isn't how you diagnose computer problems.

If she was going to stop working, they should have you told how to reinstall the operating system.

with most HP models you press F11 on STARTUP to start restoring to factory settings (new condition)

And the program of the QualiTechy 'sold' on the annual plan, CCleaner is a FREE than any program can download and use indefinitely without charge.

We recommend it to many posters who come here.

But with advice that they do NOT use the cleaning of registry in options.

Unless you know what you are doing and are able to work manually in the registry, the registry should be left alone because you can damage your operating system and make it unusable.

There are a lot of SCAMS out there. Personally, I did hear of this special care society; Comments good or bad.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

    It's the advice on SCAMS.

But YOU contacted them, not the other way around

In your case, it's buyer beware you!

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

You are the only person who knows if you gave them remote access.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one

    Read this Information from Microsoft:

  • Need for clarification in regards if you upgrade memory and HDD invalidates the warranty/support Dell

    Hello!

I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 at the end of January. I told the sales guy cat exactly what I needed for and what my budget was. Well, based on his advice, I ended up raising my budget so I could have the best possible computer for my use.

Now, normally, I don't buy a computer on mine, but the person I usually consult wasn't available, so I thought, Hey, the Dell guy cat must know what he's talking about.

The computer he sold me a * disk drive (5200 rpm, I think). I told him that I wanted it for the recording software. After I bought it (buyer's remorse), several people told me that he should have sold me an SSD.

Okay - Here's my thing: I can go buy a SSD and install it. But cancel my expensive service plan and a guarantee that I have? In addition, tech support plan? And regardless if it's a Dell hardrive and I can someone have set up here, or that I have to send the laptop back and have Dell to install one of their SSD to preserve the warranty and service plan?

    Thank you.

With Dell, you are allowed to replace serviceable by the user on your computer without to as voiding the warranty.  Examples being the hard drives, memory, graphics cards, etc.  If ever you have a problem and need to send the unit for repair, you will need to replace your Dell parts provided those and Dell will only be guaranteed components provided by them.

Also, you are more then welcome to install yourself, however if damage you something during the installation it will invalidate your guarantee that you caused the damage.

Yes TLDR you can install anything you want.

  • Logmein123 scam: fake Microsoft technical

About 20 minutes ago I got a 30 minute or 40 phone call with a guy with an Indian accent claiming every single computer connected to my internet was going to crash in two days. I told him my computer doesn't even have the power supply inside, but he said it happened because of the pirates. I kept him ask questions about this suspicious call and he said that I have to turn on my computer to see the virus "right in front of you're own eyes." So I told him that texas microsoft wouldn't call me here in Utah, but he just kept going on about pirates. It fit my CSL Code with the one he showed me and I made him give me his name, foams of Ryan, its supposed I.D. microsoft is also ms1097. As me being dumb today he told me to download logmein123 at this place. www.support.me said that it was Microsoft Corp. so I downloaded using this code 449714. Because I build computers its in my nature to be suspicious of all the technicians, so I wrote it down. He said that my software warranty has expired and it distance controlled computer using analyses of cmd. At first when he started toward the high logmein123, he said you have now made the connection with the support Wizard Sam Pollard, although he just said his name was Ryan foams. The first analysis showed that 20 pirates hacked my computer successfully and that 4 does not, now it's my mothers laptop and its Windows 7 operating system has just crashed days before, so its I.T. Guy in a new facility with a backup HARD drive and a new HARD drive. He said that it has expired in any case and if I don't fix it, it will crash within 2 days, and I'll never get to use again. In the middle of the call, he said that there are 3 plans, 2 year, which is $ 130, a five-year plan that was $ 199 and still a long-term project, which he has spelled lyftime, which is $ 360, lasted only 15 years. Then it restarted the computer and says he'll call tomorrow and if I'm not here to fix, the grayspeed which I have NEVER heard before which said is like the judgment of security, computer crash thingy happen.

I saw a lot of forums about this, but this one seemed very strange, I wondered if I would be worried about her were in my computer, also how to uninstall logmein123? This isn't on the page uninstall programs. Any help is welcome thanks.

I'm afraid that you fall for a popular scam. Your best bet is to backup your data, then perform a destructive factory restore. Otherwise, you may have the machine checked by a competent technician.

  • No need to Support Dell or just poor quality products?

I don't know where should I write to be heard, so goes to write it here!

I bought a new Allienware 17 at the end of November in Russia to work on my new assignment in another country (South Korea). What happened, my brand new laptop everything just stopped working after 2 weeks. No damage, no suspicious programms, steam, could Adobe Creative and BitDefender was installed.  The turned just black screen.

I contacted Dell Korean support hoping to get that it help. I got fired. Then, I called American support and was expelled for 4 hours by phone. Finally, I got the answer that I need to change the property tag. I did it took me extra 2 more weeks for my request to be processed.

Fortunately, I called Dell support Korean again (which is shamely doesn't speak English!) and they said: oh, you have to pay an unknown amount of money to buy a new Dell warranty for our country!

On my question how much money: I have replied: don't know. "It is not my authority to know." Interesting question then who knows?

It has been 2 months that my new machine almost $3000 does not work and none of any service Dell can help me with it. I bought this computer because he thought it is the most precious, and I have heard many good things about the Services the customer of Dell. And it turns out that the laptop itself is a piece of junk and no one can help me with fixing it.

Such a shame for a huge company like dell to behave like that! If you have a Ministry in different countries that you assume to have the same regulations as in a central administration office. Or otherwise, you must send the assignment to your customers prior to purchase of products: "If you travel with our products all over the world, we will not give a * on you, I thank you for your stay with us.

So the question is: what should I do with the new brand alienware metal? I want my money or someone from dell which can help me to fix the product they sold me. I think that my rights of customers have been offended.

If you need I can specifically describe the error with the laptop.

    Kind regards

    Unhappy owner of Alienware

After 2 months of dance with a tambourine and a new warranty while my current purchase used only 2 months Dell Korea sent an engineer to check the problem.

So what do I: after 2 weeks of use my Alienware 17 has stopped working: LCD, LCD screen cable and the graphics card.

Laptop has been used super slightly, no. harm any damage and cloud only adobe has been installed as extra.

I'm super shocked. How is it possible at all? 3 defective products at the same time! I am super angry.

Happy but it could be fixed at least. I think that the matter is closed. But what made me change my opinion on Dell and Alienware.

  • Windows XP can support Dell printers. Failed to install. Help, please. Thank you

I have a Compaq Presario that runs on Windows XP.  I was given a Dell 942 Printer. I do not have the printer installation disc, so downloaded drivers from Dell.com.  When I go to add a printer, Dell does not come up as an option.  How can I install this printer?  Thank you very much

Looks like you are trying to use the Add Printer Wizard. Run the software that you downloaded to install.

Do not connect the cable to to be instructed by the installation routine (or once if no instruction had been given).
