Please give me a link to the thing that I have to get the Scan key on the Control Panel before work? I tried just about everything I could find here and I must be missing something, I don't know what. Impossible to install from the CD original, says I need administrator rights (even if I'm using setup.exe as an administrator) and I don't have the right OS for the disc.  Cannot find the complete software recommended here. Tried printing HP and doctor Scan with no joy (says I need all the stuff that is on the CD!). Tried to install the framework of Solutions HP too. No joy. He always asks the Solutions Center on the CD.

I need this scan button. My camera is not right next to my PC and have to go back from the PC to the scanner is ridiculous.

If there is no way to get the scan button for more work, why not put to work (other than what is obvious and that is to make us buy another device)?

I found my solution.  I installed the device on an old PC I had in stock, who always had WINXP top.

    Never before shot with this HP and this computer.

    When I press scan on the printer button lights a flashing light with the following message: "You Normand to install or run Hp software for feature." In response to this message, I searched on the HP site for the driver software for my printer that match my computr. Downloaded and installed the software, but I still have exactly the same error in the printer.

    The printer is probably more than 5 years. So far I used it only as a fax (hanging on a telephone jack) machine and a machine Fotocopie. I print to a HP Lazerjet printer that has no option analysis.

    I'm not sure how long it takes, however, here are a few tricks with Capture of Image:

    1. After choosing your scanner on the left side, click "Show details" on the bottom.

    2. on the right side of the screen will be a lot of options, including the location of the format and scanning to file, resolution, and color / B & W.

    3 select the file you want first, then the scan store then the other parameters.  When you have finished changing the settings, click Preview.

    I understand that you have a HP ENVY 7640 e-all-in-one printer connected wireless to a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and you used to be able to scan to E-mail, but now cannot. I would like to help with that.

    I see that you encounter some problems with the scanning of the all-in-one Photosmart C7288 printer after upgrade to Windows 10. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, uninstall all software associated with the printer to your PC. Finally, download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

    I run an iMac (early 2009) with OS 10.9.1 connected via the time machine to an HP Photosmart 3210 all-in-one and I can't get the scan to work.

    Earlier, I used a HP program - is not perfect, but I've had some scans. This no longer works.

    I tried via Capture of Image, but I did not all devices and can not see how I can connect to any other.

    I tried to connect the printer/scanner directly instead of having connected via the time machine - that solved my problem (!)

    Now I see the scanner in the scanning and image capture.

    I am well satisfied with my computer HP 2006, Win XP SP3; However when I had to reformat the HP PSC all-in-one printer that works well will analyze any more.  Microsoft says that it does not recognize the drivers for the scanner.

    Try to download software and software updates of the HP Web site.  See if that helps.

    • Click the icon of the printer on the desktop,
    • Click Manage scan of the computer,
    • Click Activate.

    Please report the problem to the Microsoft Community Forum.
    If we understand it, you cannot scan with the kodak camera.
    We will help you solve the problem.
    1. What is the model number?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    3. do you get an error message when you try to scan?
     
    It is possible that Kodak may have an older version of its software that works.

    I installed the drivers for my Laserjet M1212nf connected on my computer laptop 64 bit of Windows 7, but it seems like just a printer (in devices and printers). I can't scan from the laptop (I get the error "no TWAIN Device Installed").

    The figure (and work) scan function if I connect to the printer via the USB port and install these drivers, but my laptop does not usually reside in the same room as the printer.
