scan wireless 6600 problem

My 6600 has worked well with my Dell Windows 8, but had a problem requiring technical assistance to remove viruses, etc..  The printer now works with the radio, but the scanner to the computer function indicates that the computer does not recognize it.

Hi twreck,.

You can activate the scan of the computer by opening the Printer Wizard, then choosing manage the scan to the computer. Here are some images that might help.

If you have problems opening the Printer Wizard, you can find the icon of the printer on the desktop or click Start > all programs > HP folder? the Officejet 6600 folder, then find the icon of the printer here.

I hope this helps.

Two days ago my HP printer suddenly stopped printing wireless.  My MacBook says "could not find the printer.  I can scan wireless from my macbook to my printer but when I print wireless it can't find it.  My internet has not changed, the router has not changed, rather than my printer and the laptop has not changed.  So, what might be the problem.  I can type the IP address of printers in my address bar on my laptop and access the printer and do print and scan but just can't do when I'm in a document and select 'print '.  Any ideas?

    Hi @Booseebean,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a Photosmart HP 6520 e-all-in-one printer with a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan computer and you are unable to print because the MacBook says "could not locate the printer", even if you are able to scan wireless. I would like to help with that.

The steps in this document of support should be able to help - "printer offline" or "printer not responding" Message (OS X).

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

    HP Photosmart B209 more Pinter a - m

I am able, with a usb connection to scan from the printer to my computer;  I want to scan wireless to the printer on my computer.

    Thank you

    Hello Mocha7 ;

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I read your post on the analysis of the problems with your HP Photosmart Plus B209 a - m and wanted to help.

I don't have the same printer model, but I do not have other HP printers, and the process is essentially the same.  When you install the full exercise for the printer software, it installs a shortcut on the desktop that allows you to scan to PC.  I did it with two different HP network printers and it works the same for both.

So, you need to check that you have installed the complete service for the printer software. The linked page is for Win7 software and the driver for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Photosmart-Plus-All-in-One-Printer-series---B2/3777155/model/3777156

IF it shows no Windows 7 when you open it, click the Edit button and select Windows 7 from the pulldowns.

In addition, this link is to the page for your printer troubleshooting: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Plus-All-in-One-Printer-series---B2/3777155/model/3777156/troubleshooting

Please note that there are two procedures, you should try to use: printing using doctor Scanand a communication or connection error ...  See if they are able to help you solve the problem of scanning.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Can not scan wireless to the printer to the computer

I can't scan my Photosmart Wireless B110 printer wireless to my laptop using Windows 7 IE. I can scan wireless using the laptop, which shows that the system can work. It allows to analyze all right, but it just stopped and I tried everything I can find on the site of HP. I deleted the printer and that restored it and I uninstalled all the software and tried to reinstall it but kept getting fatal error message saying that there is a newer version of the same software already on my computer, even though I had removed everything I could find with the name of HP on this subject!

A specific problem seems to be that the laptop will not recognize the IP address of the printer so that every convenience store programs think that the printer is not installed so I can print wireless from laptop and scan also. I would appreciate your help to be able to scan from the printer and hopefully discover why the IP address is not recognized.

Thank you for your answer fast (I'm not used to it as you can see from my previous posts!).

I got the same error message when I pressed the icon Apps so I went to reset the static IP address, as you suggest. The box that says 'Suggests a manual IP' is grayed out so I gave the IP as it was. Then, I moved the section DNS server under which I had left empty as suggested in the other post I had followed. I put the 8s and 4S who told you and now it works perfectly.

Thanks a lot for your help. He needed only two positions experienced to get my printer working again but I had to wait a long time before you me is reached. There must be a lesson there for HP to take on board. In any case thanks a lot again. I gave fame and marked the post as solved.

  • DeskJet 3510 will not scan wireless on OS 10.9

I have a 3510 Deskjet which worked fine wirelessly on my old Mac with Snow Leopard. I recently bought a new IMac with OS Mavericks 10.9.5. The printer will print wireless but not scan wireless. It will scan only with the attached USB cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the HP software. When I disconnect the USB it is said that the wireless connection cannot be found. I have reset the wireless connection, and it's good. What I'm missing here?

    Hey @hellis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the scanning wireless problem you encounter on your Mac OS X 10.9.5 operating system with your HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled and tested via USB cable without success. Right now I'm going to guide you through some additional troubleshooting for this problem to scan wireless.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

First of all, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac computer. This will remove any printer of your printed folder and Scan, but does not uninstall printers. You must use other printers once the reset complete simply click on the (+) sign more to add than these other printers back into your Mac. Make sure they are connected via a connection by USB cable or network. Do not add your Deskjet still back in.

Please click here to know how to reset the printing system. Just follow the steps to "reset the printing in OS X Lion system"

Once the reset is complete, please select: uninstalling the printer software and race through the steps in Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9 for the method that you used to install your printer.

Once the printer is uninstalled, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

Step 4: Reinstall your software and drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
    2. Click on the download button
    3. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once the reinstallation is completed, please make sure that your printer is added to your Mac with the appropriate driver. Avoid the Airprint driver because it allows that capacity print based and not scanning.

    1. click on the menu Apple and then click on System Preferences.

    2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the list of Printers .

    3. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer. Once the printer is deleted, click the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer with Hello , like the kind.

    4. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu.

    5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Once the printer is reinstalled successfully by using the correct driver, please test the printing and scanning functionality.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided resolve your scan wireless problems. Good luck!

  • HP Envy D410a computer sleep and offline wireless OSX problem

    Hello

I'm new but I searched on this forum as well as the apple support forum to get answers.  The problem, I tried to correct is limited to the Wireless business.   I'm under 10.6.7 OSX and Windows 7 64-bit.  Now I can constantly reproduce the problem of the printer goes offline on a Mac, but the D410a works perfectly with Windows 7 64 bit.  I can stop the windows computer or put it to sleep and to restore power or he wake D410a functions perfectly.

When I put my Mac to sleep then wake him up, I lose the connection to the D410a.  Specifically, I'm trying to print or scan him unsuccessfully using "Preview", the HP Scan 3 utility, as well as the location of Print & Fax that allows you access to the parser.  Try several suggestions throughout these forums, I was able to partially address the problem. I read on the issue of the "Energy Saving" being a problem feature.  I tried power saving setting in the options "after 5 minutes of inactivity" and "after 15 minutes of inactivity'.  But the problem seems to come from the Mac.

I put my IP on the D410a address to an IP address outside DHCP (static IP).   I fiddled with the configuration of the router, ensure that the printer signal is strong, or that the router is to remember its location.  I played a bit with port forwarding, (don't know what I was really doing). I have checked the firewall settings on the Mac, and they turned off the coast.

Now as I said earlier, the only way I can get the D410a to respond to any request of Mac such as printing or scanning wireless. is either entering in my router (Dlink DIR - 655-cutting) and make some changes and save the settings.  I guess that's somehow resets the D410a and becomes available on my Mac.  The other way I can 'Reset printer' is on the print server and playing with a few features.  Specifically, I changed the gateway to 0.0.0.0 and the printer printed what was on the qeue.  After having put the Mac to sleep he lost the connection.  I changed the gateway to 192.168.2.1 and the printer and the scanner have been "reset".  Finally, it loses the connection to the Mac.

Please, help me with smoothing this mess.  I like to use Windows, but there are things on my Mac that require the use of the D410a.  Have work would improve my workflow.  I just got this printer today and I'd rather not go through the hassle to return because I bought this printer for its quality of size and compact construction.

... I forgot to mention that I tried to completely reinstall the software.  I also tried an installation of the drivers in a specific order.  1 uninstall the HP drivers > restart Mac > add printer drivers and install Apple HP > download full HP drivers from the website and install.

Check if your router multicast/IGMP proxy and transmission to enable them if they are not. They mess with re-discovery service of HP I think.

Let me know if it works

  • Can not scan wireless Photosmart Premium C410A

My C410A runs well wireless for all functions except scanning. It will not respond to a command to scan wireless. Support long sessions with HP and Microsoft Netgear (mfr-router) have failed to identify the source of effective workaround of prob. has been to use the USB connection for the scan only function. Everyone knows the inability even to scan wireless?

Problem solved after three hours on the phone with HP technicians yesterday and today. Bottom line: the signal from my router Netgear Wireless-G (WGR614v10) is not enough to support stable wireless scanning, and therefore the permanent solution is to scan to my HP C410A only via the USB connection. A secondary issue was my inability to scan from my second printer, a HP all-in-one Photosmart 3210. Technology concluded that, because of the presence of the solution Center for the C410A, the scan of 3210's function, which depends on a previous Solution Center version much (v7), could not coexist on the same computer. So, the solution to this issue is simply to use the 3210 for everything except scanning.

Thanks for your efforts. Detective Conan.

  • C5280/Mac: No scan wireless

Using a C5280, I have been unable to implement wireless (Hello) analysis of Airport Extreme or from another Mac, but print is fine. With USB, printing and scanning are fine.

Now using OS 10.6.2 but this true war earlier, too. I have UN - and re - installed latest drivers HP several times, reset my printers, but in the part of Mac printer & Fax prefs, only the USB presents a choice of PRINTING and SCANNING; wireless connections are printed only.

I saw that this problem has presented itself and been corrected, with other printers, but none of the advice has not worked for me. Is the C5280 unable to scan wireless, or is there something wrong on my end?

Scanning is not supported via the USB port of any router, including the Airport Extreme.  I'm sorry.

Your choices for scanning are either a direct USB connection between your Mac and printer or a new wireless printer.

Hello Moor_lady, if you are using Windows 7, you can try to reset your printer wireless.

Go to control panel of configuration, devices, and printer and in the menu bar above, select Add a printer in the lower option, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

There should be another window that shows all available printers to be added. See if your wireless network printer can be found. If so, select this option and continue the process.
