Shortcuts missing system configurator

Just by installing the Essbase 32-bit Client and the EAS 32-bit Client on an OS Win 7 64 bit using Excel 2007. But now when I navigate to the Oracle EPM System Configurator it says that is missing the file "configtool.bat". Where could he go? I have just re-installed successfully. Wouldn t it re-create this path and files once I reinstall?

All this is perhaps out of service to use, you use windows 7 64-bit.

    Hi Alaa' Kabbani,.

    1. did you of recent changes made to your computer?

    2. which antivirus app do you use?

    3. What is the brand and model of your computer?

I suggest to follow the steps below and we update on the State of the question.

Method 1: Disconnect any new hardware

If you have recently installed a new hardware device, the necessary driver so that the material can not be installed or the driver may be damaged or incompatible. To determine if this is true, follow these steps:

    1 unplug the appliance.

    2. restart Windows XP.

If Windows XP starts successfully, there is a driver problem with the new material. Contact the manufacturer of the device for drivers updated to the device or to learn more about known hardware issues, so that you can reinstall the device.

For information about how to contact the manufacturer of the device, refer to the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/vendors

Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. These details may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this third-party contact information.

If this method resolved the issue, you are finished. If this method does not work for you, go to method 3.

Method 2: Disable automatic reboot in case of system failure

If the system reboots continuously, do the following:

    1. reboot the computer.

    2. as the computer restarts, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Windows Advanced Options screen.

    3. use the arrow keys to select disable automatic system error rebootand press ENTER.

    4. If you receive an error message, follow these steps to search the Microsoft Knowledge Base for useful information about the error message:

    a. copy the text of the error message.

    b. visit the following Microsoft Web site:

    http://support.Microsoft.com

    c. type the text of the error message in the Search box, and then type the name of the product you are using, for example "Windows XP".

    d. click on Searchand try to find an article that will help you solve your problem.

If this method worked, you have resolved the problem of your computer restarts continuously. However, you can continue to troubleshoot driver problems. See the "Symptoms" section again and determine which method to use to solve the problem.

If this method worked, you are finished. If this method does not work for you, please try Method 3.

Method 3: Use the known last good Configuration feature

If you can start the computer successfully, you can use the known last good Configuration feature. This feature uses information that was saved the last time that you shut down the computer before the problems started. This feature allows to restore your registry settings and drivers to the previous information.

If you are not completely sure what that means, don't worry. None of these reviews will damage your computer. However, you should be aware that if you do this, any changes made to your computer after the date of last known good configuration will be lost.

If you have recently installed a driver and know a configuration problem, this method will probably work for you. Unfortunately, this feature does not solve the problems caused by missing drivers or corrupt or files.

To use the last good known Configuration, follow these steps:

    a. restart the computer.

    (b) that the computer restarts, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Windows Advanced Options screen.

    c. use the arrow keys to select last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.

    d. If you are prompted to select an operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system and press ENTER.

If this method worked, your computer is restored to a good working state. You still have to investigate on what caused this problem. To do this, please see the "Next steps" section for troubleshooting resources more.

  • EPMA Configure Database cause EPM System Configurator Crash

It is an EMP 11.1.2.2 distributed environment on Windows 2008 R2 system patched to 300 for all installed products. The system worked all fine until the DBA required to change the passwords for security reasons.

The passwords for the Weblogic administrator, the repository of databases has changed. We went through the system configurations and changed all the passwords in all the right places and everything works, except for the Dimension EMP architect server. All other product launch and we can identify you and use them.

For the server architect EMP Dimension, we are unable to update the password for the database. In the EPM system configurator, when we choose to "Set up the data base" for EMP architect, we enter the connection information and click Next and the utility workers indicating an application error.

The only mistake anywhere is in the configtool.log file which simply says:

We the ODAC uninstalled and reinstalled, but it has not made a difference. The user schema is not locked (confirmed through sql, as well as on the same machine as EPMA).
Not updated in the product of the EMP password, because if we try to start the server of EPMA, it fails stating that the name of username/password is not valid.

Guidance will be helpful, because at this point, the EPM architect is unusable.

    Thank you

The reason is that the Oracle patch broke the jar AWBConfig.jar located
    d:\oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Foundation\BPMA\Common

There are missing classes in the patched version, latest of this pot

To correct the configuration tool, you can make a copy of that existing pot and replace the old version uncorrected. To find the old version research
    \oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\.patch_storage\ to AwbConfig.jar

To confirm this, look at the size of the current pot and the oldest pot - the news is 158 k and the former was 317 k - obviously a new miss some classes.

Once you are done with the config tool put a "newer" back

    Nick

  • That means "missing product Configuration"?

I downloaded firefox. I did the 'RUN' of the set-up file. It will not be implemented. I get "Missing product Configuration". I am running Windows 7.1.

    Try this:

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test in the case where a security software comes in.

  • Read error - SOLUTION system configuration data

Today, I found a solution to the error of notorious boot not only on the toshiba, but some other brands also.

The error is: System configuration data read error.
He invites to start with 2 beeps which prevents the computer laptop Moldavian from.

I tried everything I could to remve this message but noything helped me.
Replace all, cmos battery, updated the bios, loader, drives, keyboard and etc.

Today, I found a solution very simple that I want to share with you guys.
This solution worked for me and I hope it will work for you too.

    Are you ready? :)

Go to the Bios and change the Bios language french.

Post here if it works for you also.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. But its really hard to believe that your solution would be linked to all devices such problem

However, good to know that this small change in the BIOS has helped you to resolve the issue

  • Satellite A300D-135 - BIOS - System Configuration data read error

After starting a Satellite A300D-135 laptop computer, the following error message appears:

    3070M extended RAM passed

    System BIOS with a shadow

    Fixed disk 0: TOSHIBA MK2546GSX
    Initialized the mouse
    ERROR
    System Configuration data read error

    Press to resume, installation

After pressing F1 the machine starts Windows, very well, but the error message is quite irritating, while it comes with a loud BEEP

I tried the following things so far (in that particular order):
    -Load BIOS default
-Flashed the BIOS with the latest version of the BIOS (2.80) for this type of model
-Reinstalled windows with HARD drive format

All the these did not work.

I saw the same message appearing on several places on the internet (on different laptops with a Phoenix BIOS in common), but so far I have not been able to find a working solution.

It might me a hardware problem, but all devices (vga, soiund, lan, wifi, usb, hdd) seem to work perfectly under Windows, so this does not seem the question). Another solution that is mentioned in some forums, replace the battery. But because the phone keeps time correctly I don't think it's the case either.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

    Hello

The POST (power on self-test) BIOS checks and detects errors on the motherboard.
I think it has something to do with the hardware on the motherboard problem.
I doubt that you can solve this if update of the BIOS and the BIOS default settings didn't change that.

What to say; I think that the technician of the ASP should run tests to check what's wrong or what cause this I think it is question of s mobo.

  • Satellite L500D - always get the system configuration

Hi, I'm trying to get my new laptop of wifes of configure. It's a L500D.

I chose 64-bit and all I get now is system configuration. Then it will come in saying we need restart to install the drivers? has been doing this for about 30 minutes now, is there somethig wrong or is this normal?

It's the 10th time, it has gone and done that.

    Hi Ryan,

I have the same Satellite L500 which is similar to yours and that of s. The laptop restarts often enough until the installation is complete. That s not unusual, it is necessary to install all drivers and tools you need.

So I hope you didn t stop or cancel this installation. Just wait a little longer and during this procedure, you can drink coffee and watch TV! ;)

  • Satellite T110 - loop 'system configuration '.

    Hello

I'm a newbie, but not a total newbie. Just bought a new Satellite T110 pre-loaded with Windows7, lit, the first screen asks me to choose 64-bit or 32-bit, I clicked on 64-bit machine then entered a default factory recovery mode, but has now been locked in a loop of "system configuration" with several reboots during more than an hour - that makes any sense?

    Kind regards

    Pash

You won't believe me, but it makes sense. I obtained through Satellite L500 and I noticed the same thing.
After nearly one hour and several OS reboots was pre-installed and configured correctly.

  • Satellite L675 is stuck in a loop of "system configuration".

I have a Satellite L675 pre-loaded with Windows7 64-bit, because it was very slow, so I decided to recovere it at the default out-of-box factory.
But he was now locked in a loop of "system configuration" with several reboots during more than an hour - that makes any sense?

    Kind regards

If the recovery procedure is not in the end it makes sense. Recovery procedure may take up to 2 hours.
Any donation interruption t installation and wait for that configuration and recovery image installation will be completed.

  • the API system configuration error 1097 and freezes

I used successfully the API system configuration to detect and read information on a PXI chassis.

But now, when I try to initialize and collated all information using a simple VI, the system returns error 1097 and crashes before the end of the VI.  Based on that the stop button does not work and I have to either soft or hard reboot the machine.

I have attached a screenshot of it in a frozen state and error, like a report of what is installed on my system.

The only thing I can think has changed since this last worked has been upgraded my MAX and other pilots from 5.5 to 14.0 and then the latest version as of today.

It is usually the generic error, which means that some external code access violated the integrity of the system and the memory is likely to have been corrupted in the process. Since it is a NI API system AND it seems to have worked before, I guess it's not a bad disigned call library node, but a form of bribery in external code library itself which implements the API of the System Configuration.

    Reinstalling may solve the problem.

  • System configuration "Rename Alias" API isn't updated MAX

If I run the 'nisyscfg.lvlib:Rename Alias.vi' the System Configuration API , I noticed that the new alias is NOT set to day/relfected Max in the tree of devices and Interfaces.

I have confirmed that the Alias changes indeed via the API because constant browing of resources does VISA shows the new alias name.  I have also confirmed that the 'Name' MAX field points to the same data element that changes the API by going to MAX-> tools-> NI - VISA-> VISA Options-> General settings-> alias; the API and MAX are going to change this field.

Is this a known bug? Is there a work around?  Pressing F5/Refresh, reboot MAX and even restarting the on-board controller has not fixed the problem.

When you make the call to find Hardware.vi, I bet you limit the search to "ni-visa" in the setting of Experts. When you rename the devices, you change the NI-VISA alias alright. What you've done essentially modifies the view of VISA but not the rest of the architecture of NOR. So when you see the device in MAX, products OR use actually VISA as the mechanism of communication, even if NI-VISA see these devices and to report on them. Remember that different drivers may have different aliases storage locations; for instance, IVI is still somewhere else, you might have a different name for the resource.

To change the alias for all the devices you see in MAX, you cannot limit the Experts involved in the query. The best way would be to create a filter that defines "Is the device" true, who spend in finding material instead. Then when you call Rename on these resources, it will have the desired effect.

I been putting fallow the instructions under "speed up your PC", when I encountered a problem.  #1) when I typed the System Configuration in the search, he came with a long list and wasn't sure that you click on so I clicked on the main file, but this was not it.  So I then went into Control Panel and went to systems, but had no luck there either.  (#2) pour make a long story short... I can bring is no longer a list long search for the Configuration of the system that I did at the beginning.  Research shows nothing and I don't know what to do to get back them or how to continue with him "accelerate."  I wanted to check what programs were running on start up, which slowed down my system and disable them.

  • How can I open the system configuration

I am running windows xp (version 2002).  How to find the system configuration?

There is no 'system configuration' in the Panel (at least on my system).

There is a System option which open to the System Properties screen.

If mean you the System Configuration utility, click Start, run, and in the type box:

    Msconfig

Click OK to open the System Configuration utility.

If you want to see on your current XP configuration information, click Start, run, and in the type box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK to open the System Information applet.

It's the same thing you see if you click on start, programs, accessories, System Tools, system information.

  • My computer takes 9 minutes to start when you turn on. Where can I find the system configuration to abandon some of the start up programs that I don't need.

I said the reason that my computer takes 9 to 15 minutes to complete the commissioning is there are too many programs that start automatically when I turn it on. They said to click on start and type system configuration and deselect some of the programs to start automatically. I typed in the run dialogue box but nothing.  How do I know where to find it and can you tell me which ones I should NEVER disable? Thank you.

You type: msconfig in the Run dialog box.

Under the Startup tab disable this you never or rarely use.

You will always be able to use them whenever you want without going back to msconfig.

On the Services tab, click Hide all Microsoft Services, and then choose the ones you want to start when you start your computer.
