    Hello world!!!

the problem is that one day I inserted my CD - RW in drive, launched Nero but failed to remove any previously saved data of him cause I couldn't push the button 'clean' (sorry, not sure he's called this version in English).

In my computer, where all readers are collected, in the context menu for my drive I couldn't find option to erase the disk. In the properties of the label record disappered (label where I could mark the box: Alow CD recording).

I also tried to burn many Cd - R with nero, I recorded using multisession with a small amount of data, but after this, I was not able to record something on their cause, they have all been closed and developed, too, I told nero ot not to develop.

Maybe someone can help me, I don't want to reinstall windows.

    Hello

I think that this is not a drive problem but possible it s more a configuration issue between Nero and second burning software.

I think on many laptops Toshiba sound recording has now been installed.
This software can be used for disc erasing and finalization.

    Please check the application.
I put t don't know if this helps but maybe when you remove the sound recording now Nero does not improve.

    Begging you a lot
    Michael Borger

In my view BIOS update will not change.
I assume that the reader has worked in the past with the same BIOS version
It is a drive hardware problem or some registry keys are corrupt.

I think that it s a hardware malfunction may be a matter of lenses.
    But try this;
Remove the drive from Device Manager and shut the laptop computer. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again. Then you can check the functionality.

Otherwise, you can remove the disk from the laptop, and then start the laptop without the drive. Then stop the laptop, put the drive in the notebook and start over.
    The firmware should again loads.

But if these procedures help t, I don t see it differently as for replace the drive

  • External Combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive does not work with USB 1.1

    Hello world

I have a problem with the PA3352E - 2 CD 2 CD-RW/DVD COMBO USB 2.0. A colleague is owner of this car and use it on a NB DellC610 with Windows XP on it. The problem is that the drive does not work with this type of nb (with a NB from Fujitsu-Siemens newest there no problems); There is always an error message about "surge." I think it has to do with the USB 1.1 because the player seems to be built for USB2.0. Is it possible to use this drive correctly with usb1.1 (ok, the flow is low, but more important is it works in general)? Unfortunately his nb will not work with USB 2.0...

Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind regards
    Steffen Rieger

    Hello

AFAIK this external must have a power adapter. You use it too? I'm not 100% sure, but there are difference how much power Gets the USB slot. Toshiba notebooks is around 500 my and some producers another laptops send between 300 and 500 my. The external device requires approximately 700 my.

Have you tried the Device Manager and it says it works normally!

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks :)

    > apparently it has been disabled somehow
I put t think that the disc has been disabled!

How someone or something should turn off the drive? You have disabled the drive? I don't think so!

You said that the drive appears in Device Manager. So I guess that the drive is enabled and is recognized by the OS.
You are getting error messages or what's wrong?

Perhaps the reader can read or burn CDs or DVDs.
This happens if the lens of the drive cannot calibrate properly and can not handle the inserted media.

Maybe the replacement drive is required!

    Hello

Please check if the CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager.
If it s listed, then it means that ODD has been recognized by the Windows operating system.

    In this case, try this;
-Remove the STRANGE to the list of devices.
-remove the filters above and below of this registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    -Reboot the laptop

  • Pavilion dv7t-2000 dvd/CD drive does not work

    Hello

I have problems with my CD/DVD drive.

Recently, I upgrade my Windows Vista Service Pack 2. I noticed that my CD/DVD drive does not work, although I don't know if this is related to the Vista upgrade because I have not used the cd player in a long time. The drive does not read CDs or DVDs that I put in.

Device Manager indicates there is a problem with the driver for CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive. Device Manager displays the following error message: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

The device is listed as TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA Device. The CD-ROM/DVD-ROM is the same as that provided with the laptop when I bought it, which is listed as "LightScribeSuperMulti8XDVD + / RWw/DLayer" on my receipt.

In the properties of the device, I pressed the 'Update Driver' button, but it says that the driver is already up to date.

I searched HP's site for an updated CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver, but I couldn't find one. I also ran "HP Health Check", but the program cannot find any problems.

    Thank you for your help.

    The problem has been resolved.

I followed the advice of nazcar4u in a similar thread:

I used the "Fix it" Wizard on the Microsoft Web site:

I hope it helps those who encounter the same problem.

  • My DVD/CD drive does not work in Windows 8 Professional, and it ISN'T a hardware problem.

My DVD/CD drive does not work in Windows 8 Professional with or without data or audio in it. However, if I turn off the PC with a bootable CD/DVD in there, the PC recognize the media and initiate the CD when turned on. This confirms that the DVD/CD drive actually works, but for some stupid reason, Microsoft Windows 8 Professional will not recognize the same DVD/CD player it loaded since! Thanks again Microsoft for another product of shit. Now, how are you going to fix this? And how are we supposed to run things such as WordPad or paint, etc. I predict that Windows 8 will fall faster than Windows Me!

It was an upgrade of Windows 8 or you you destroy the old operating system and
do a full install? Are there any error messages?

Check the Compatibility Center to see if the drive is compatible:

    Windows Compatibility Center
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/compatibility/WIN8/CompatCenter/home?language=en-us

Check with the manufacturer of the system support, their documentation online and pilot/firmaware,
and ask questions in the forums (if any) on known problems. Some CD/DVD players are not
    Windows compatible 8.
