sound not working speakers

I have Windows 7 on a HP 500 b MT produced desktop computer. According to my computer, my sound works fine. I installed the Microsoft Fixit and he said nothing wrong. I can plug in headphones and I can hear system sounds but not other sounds. Other speakers will sometimes be too static where I have to turn down the volume and the sound works OR I have absolutely no static and no sound. It is an intermittent problem. The volume is on max, Manager device shows RealTek with no exclamation by him and the driver is up-to-date. Then other days ago sound works. What else could be wrong? Why is it an intermittent problem? I never turn off my computer. I always install updates. Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager? It could just be a driver problem.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45073.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

    Hi friend of the hills,

Looks like there is a problem that prevents audio work as expected on your iPad Air and it took place after the use of the Remote with Apple TV app. It is perhaps because AirPlay is activated, try to turn it out, as shown here:

Use AirPlay to stream content from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support Wireless

    Disable the AirPlay

    1. On your iOS device, slide up from the bottom of your screen to open the Control Center.
    2. Tap AirPlay.
    3. Type on your device at the top of the mailing list.

If the problem persists, try restarting your iPad as stated in the article below.

  • Click on turn off sound not working not not the button Rollover in Captivate 9

I use the Mac of Captivate 9 version. I created a button rollover with two States - Normal and Rollover (I used a smart form for the button and selected use as a button). I selected the check box turn off sound click in the Actions Panel. However, when I publish and click on the button, I can still hear the clicking noise.

To troubleshoot, I created a button of shape smart with only a State (without roll), tested, and I heard a clicking noise. So, the issue seems related to the rollover State.

I've searched the forums and couldn't find an answer to my question.

    Any suggestions to correct?

    Thank you.

A button of form in Captivate 9 has always built of three States: Normal, rollover and down.  Did you remove two States in view of the State?

Have you installed the hotfix: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/hot-fix-captivate-9.html

    BJ Gawle

    Hi B.J.Gawle,

    Method 1

Looks like you're using a laptop and this would happen if the default audio device is not set to internal computer speakers.

    (a) open the Control Panel.

    (b) double click on the sounds and Audio devices icon.

    (c) click the Audio tab and under audio playback, select the audio device on the laptop.

    (d) click apply and restart the computer, check to see if it helps.

    Method 2

If fails it above step then check out the link below and run the Fixit tool available, check if it helps.
