Spectrum 13-4003DX HP: 90 days HP limited warranty coverage

Hi all.

I have another thread that does not seem to be any interest.

I just bought a HP 13-4003DX refurbished spectrum and it came with a 90 day limited warranty, my question is what is covered and what is not?

Here are some of the questions that I have and I'm curious to see if it would fall under warranty.

  • Dead at the top of the screen pixel
  • Several dents, scratches and knicks (apparent defects)
  • Sometimes the touchpad does not work, but if I reset, it usually goes back to normal

Hello:

It is a peer to peer forum and no one here, including HP employees who volunteer their time on this forum, are allowed to discuss the terms of warranty coverage.

Maybe that's why no one answers, but I thought I would let you at least know that nobody can help you with these questions on this forum.

Contact HP for the country that you live in the link below and find out what is covered and what is not.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting.

Unfortnetly the user forums is managed by HP customer like you and me for the most part, so the chances of a person has been able to help in this case is quite thin. Your best bet is to phone HP numbers are here and tell them about this problem, if you are not with them. You can try and ask to speak with there customer service, these are the people who have the most power in call centers, so if you ask them nicley they may be able to help.

Once more I do not work for Hp if it is something puerley I mean you could get somwhere.

Good luck.. Keep us on how you can

    James

EDIT: You may also be able to contact higher than people such as managers of customer service by selecting the option of the company instead of support afer by selecting your country and language from the link above, once you have done this, you can select Executive Director email or the comments button General according to which country you are in.

  • Spectrum 13-4003DX HP: bought recently refurbished HP spectrum x 360 warranty coverage?

    Hi all!

    I just got the HP spectrum X 360 13 - 4003DX bought from http://www.adorama.com/IHPL0Q51UAR.html

and I wanted to ask you a few questions about this kind of things are covered by the refurbished HP warranty 90 days.

I understand that this is a device but is any sort of dents/scratches covered by warranty? There are some scratches on the screen that you can really notice when on the screen, but when it is off you can easily see them. There are a couple of knicks on the sides and little bumps on the bottom. Nothing major, certainly something I can live with, but I was just curious.

I noticed there seems to be a dead both on-screen pixel, can I do about it?

And then for some reason that the fan runs loudly louder than my old dv6 that I just race next. I don't know if it's a malfunction in the fan itself or it's just how it works.

My last question/problem that I am experiencing with the joint itself, it seems very loose because every time that I slightly to place the laptop on my lap screen simply settles seems not have any stiffness to it. Even when it is placed on a table for exaple using the touch screen can be quite annoying because it tends to bounce around on all my touch. Is there any way I can tighten?

I thought since I bought refurbished would be developed all the problems, but it doesn't seem to be that way.

  • HP 14-ac101nx: difficulty to understand the consumer/home rights under the limited warranty HP users

    Hello

I worry about the warranty status and applicability in Australia for a laptop HP (HP 14-ac101nx) originally purchased from Saudi Arabia from a third party reseller.

I'm not sure if guaranteed HP agreement would bring such a limited mobile unit and, if so, to what extent it is covered.

    Thank you

    Fasquel

Unfortunately I also contacted HP Support in Australia directly through online chat and they gave me the following statement:

"Please be informed that buying laptop from all other countries that the Australia is not covered by the warranty of the Australia."

It seems that the international guarantee of HP is just a marketing gimmick...

  • Monitor laptop broken - HP Pavillion 1173dx with limited warranty g7

I have a HP Pavilion g7-1173dx. My operating system is Windows 7. A few months back, my laptop screen was broken accidentally, but not by me. I was in my school library is about to do my homework before I had to go to class, and my cell phone was on the table in front of me when the cover is opened. Someone walked by they were shooting their schoolbag, and as they did, they hit my laptop and the cover closed when it hit the ground. He picked for me and asked excuse me and went on his way. When I opened it, the screen was broken and he has a crack at the bottom. I called customer service on this topic several times. I don't want to pay to get it fixed because it wasn't really my fault. So, can I my laptop fixed with the limited one year warranty that comes with the laptop or not?

Too bad, it's not. Just buy a Dell.<>

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I get my Curve 8330 replaced by limited warranty?

We bought my curve in March, so we should be still under warranty for manufactures of one year. Here's what the problem with my phone: sound effects are completely broken. Instead, it's sounds nice when I get alerts or calls, it makes a squealing sound! It started out of nowhere in a few days. I went to a Sprint store and they have immediately cleared saying me that we had to go directly via Blackberry. I searched the site and could not find the information I need to get it fixed/replaced. I don't know where to go in this regard. Can someone point me in the direction I should go?

    Welcome to the forums

Normally, you are covered for 12 months, when you get to the phone. Your service provider should be able to replace the phone as long as it has not been damaged by the water. If they refuse to do so, ask to speak to a manager who usually gets things market faster

Let us know how it goes.

  • Pavilion D7 4177nr blank screen with cursor five days out of warranty.

I have a Pavillion D7 portable 4177nr.   I have not had any problems with it by the window / the warranty period.   Five days after the expiration of the warranty I used it, walked for 20 minutes and returned to find a blank screen with blinking cursor.  I ran the diagnostics and everything passed.  I can't start in safe mode.  .   I am extremely disappointed, because I really liked this assistance please phone!

Can you boot into the BIOS screen (pressing F10 when booting) and check if the laptop can be started in it?

If so, I recommend to run the system diagnostics and check if the hardware on the unit works very well.

In case it does, you can check if you can press F11 and restore your computer to factory settings. Please make sure that you back up your data before performing a recovery.

You will need to separate contacts, they cause a short circuit and blocking system. Once you have the gift that the system should boot normally.

  • GoldenGirl, you said, "something outside of the limited warranty Sony does not require a charge"

I showed you where I was covered by warranty that Sony extended for the number of optical block until 31/08/10-31/08/12...

I also accepted the first offer from Sony 40 "Bravie.

Now that the truth is out, why did you stop reponding to me?

    Joanne

    Mommyjosie,

I often read this group discussion, but never felt obliged to join so far.  I watched you say the same thing again and again, providing dates and promises and show your total frustration with the way Sony has not handled your concerns.

I also bought a KDF... He had the same problem with optical block, and my position of television has been replaced by Sony in 2012.

I know that they have extended their warranty on this unit.  I can't believe how badly GOLDEN GIRL, (which I have lost all respect for) treats you.

Of course, Sony officials are unaware their first offer, which accepted you it, and trying to force money out of you with a reduced supply.

GoldenGirl, you treat, once good customer of Sony, who showed faith in Sony products and guarantees

without the respect of a response because she corrected you.

Personally, I would like to see mommyjosie finally get TV Sony Exchange program that she was promised 4 years ago... How much more if she must suffer for the purchase of a Sony (defective) and guarantee (Worthless)?

It seems that you are enjoying his stress and making him go without justice!  What an abuse of power.  You are here to help the consumer to deal not with ignore - lie!

I would like to see Justice here, so that there can be peace...   Fr. Tanner

  • Satellite Pro L20 - broken cover - part order

    I have a portable satellite Pro L20 for 4 years since 2006.

I must say that the quality of Toshiba is good.
Over the past 4 years I have no problem with this laptop. Recently and finally my front cover of the laptop decompose.

When I am looking for repair service, I find Toshiba after sell service is terrible.
I have to pay fees to order the part for my Satellite Pro L20. It takes more that a week simply to find out if there are some available; If there is no available room that the deposit is not not refundable, even receiving me has suggested seek third party repair center to get my laptop fixed to avoid any risk.

If you may upgrade your lap top in 2 or 3 years, Toshiba is good.
If you want to use this computer more than 3 years and have limited warranty coverage try another provider, because Toshiba might tell you they don't have the parts of your computer.

You can like me have to take the risk of paying the first deposit and never get that money back.

  • Replacing the HARD drive in conditions of international interest?

I bought my laptop in Australia on Feb 12 and took home with me to Indonesia in June. It worked perfectly for me and even if I didn't have to worry about anything for many years to come.

Until there are 2 Sunday, when Windows popped up a message saying that it has detected a hard drive error.

It is still under warranty, and it is covered by the international warranty.

However while trying has sent in local service for hard drive replacement Center they told me that, although the new hard drive and the costs of the service is supported by them, the customer is likely to pay transport and customs costs, because they will have to claim the hard drive Toshiba Australia where I bought.

I think it's a load of krap, that the seller is supposed to assume all the costs associated with the repair / replacement of defective components under warranty still. I understand that I bought in another country, but nevertheless my warranty is INTERNATIONAL.

Now I would not * ing thereon if estimated costs quoted could ignore, but what they gave me was NEAR THE COST OF A NEW INTERNAL DRIVE HARD OF ABILITY EQUIVALENT that I can put on the market. In addition, it takes A FKING Waiting MONTHS for them to solve this problem on their own.

I was directed here on the Australia from Toshiba support site. I hope this is the right place for this post and while I couldn't be arsed to find out what this forum is all about before posting, I hope that I can some tips / resolution regarding my situation.
