I have a PSC 1315 printer I've used for several years on a system with Windows XP without any problems.  After buying an HP Pavilion 500 with Windows Pro 8.1, I migrated my printer to the new computer.  I have refused to use the original driver and was directed to download the latest driver and software for that printer from HP Web site.  At first, things seemed ok, until I stumbled upon several questions, which is this one.

The first two weeks, I didn't see this error in the solution Center, but all of a sudden it began to appear.  The first time I saw it, the printer is turned off (standby) and when I turned it on, the error has disappeared, and I was able to use the Solution Center.  Now (from last week), the error never goes away.  I've tried everything I can think of, including physically disconnect and reconnect the printer, run diagnostic printer, etc..  Nothing works.  I'm afraid that there was some automatic update that ruined the connectivity of its Solution.

Now, here is the information that will throw you a loop for: the printer works in all directions.  I am able to scan, character, etc. without any problems.  I can not just use Solution Center to do.

    1. is this a known issue, and what is the solution?
    2. how to disable all automatic updates for this printer and software?

    Hello, I hope you're well

I noticed that all of your posts on several issues that have known you for upgrading to a new PC with Windows 8.1. Given all the issues, I'd say running the HP print and Scan Doctor and using this specific tool to uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Here is an example screenshot of what to look for: print and scan a screenshot of Dr..

I hope that this clears up the gaps!

  • Start app menu

I see that some people may like her start menu application in fusion3 but for me it's just a boring tax. It's pretty easy to kill the activity monitor, but what I really want, is to prevent it from running at all. I removed it from my list of connection, but whenever I start the merge, here it is again. then, for 10pts, what is the downside to remove the app (& his boyfriend, helper.app) in/Library/Application Support / VMware Fusion /?

VMware Fusion (menu bar) > VM > settings > Applications > display the applications menu in the menu bar: never

Note: I believe that this is a Global setting, do only from a virtual computer.

  • Envy4500: Computer says printer is offline and will not print, but it's online

I jumped through all the hoops of tech and there seems to be no perfect solution to this problem. However, can I change my settings wireless direct on with security on without security on Off, and at any time, I am doing this, work in Quebec will begin. But I have to do it almost everytime I have print something. I need to scan from my remote IO. Let me know if HP has a better solution. Obviously, the computer is not properly talk to the printer. I started having this problem after Windows 10, but yet curiously, so I don't think it's a matter of Windows.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

    You can try this:

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

    Hope that helps!

  • HP Officejet 4630: queue the computer says printer is offline

I have a laptop windows 7 (Levono) and a 'new' printer HPOJ4630 I received from HP, when my other original had to be replaced.

I did the installation to download on my computer.  I did the install printer and HP Network Conf Page shows the printer is connected to the Internet, and the status of the network is ready.  However, when I send something to print it does not print and the computer queue wrote in offline mode.

I need to use the printer without delay.

Please HELP, your answer asap would be appreciated.

Thank you for your answer, luckily I found a way to fix right after that I wrote the post.  Don't ask me how, but I managed to solve the problem.

My printer is now working with my laptop perfectely.

  • WiFi printer always 'offline' mode after standby Vista

I recently bought a Canon mg5200 wifi printer.  I use it on my home network with a Netgear router.  I have a problem where whenever I put my Vista laptop using the 'sleep', when restarting the printer goes into status 'offline '.  It requires a power cycle of the printer to my Vista laptop to re-establish the connection.  I don't think it's a problem with the printer or router.   Even when he says 'offline', I can still print documents from my desktop XP it's hard, connected to the printer.  I can literally print a document from my Vista laptop, stop to sleep mode, reboot and suddenly it says printer is offline, all within a few minutes, so I don't think it's a matter of printer sleep mode either.  Also, when I check my router, it will show such printer that connected to the network.  I saw the other headings on the same issue, but you have not found satisfactory answers.  Any ideas on how to keep Vista connected to my wifi printer?

You may also change a setting for the printer to prevent it from going to sleep. For more information on this, you will need to contact the manufacturer.

  • Why my printer always say its in offline mode and how do I change

I can barely get my printer to print from my laptop it says printer offline, but it is not checked, how can I get it online and stay there

The same thing comes from happening to me and I found the problem in a few minutes exploring.  I use Windows 7.

    1. Go to the menu 'start '.
    2. Select "devices and printers".
    3. Double-click your printer
    4. "Click on the link above to the right that says ' printer: Offline"
    5. Click on "Printer" at the top left
    6. Down and uncheck "use printer offline".
    7. PRINT

It worked for me... I thought I was going to have to do a system restore or something more complicated if it does not work... certainly don't want to buy another printer on a technical glitch! I hope this has solved your problem!

  • HP 8620: Printer in offline mode when the computer starts

My 8620 Officejet is offline.  It is connected via a cable to my 360 spectrum HP network.  When I turned off the computer and start that he even once, the printer starts in offline mode - for example, when I got to print from Microsoft Word (Office Pro 2016), the printer is 'offline' in the Word print dialog and I get a message from Windows system, saying printer offline - and nothing prints.

I can solve it with the help of HP print and Scan doctor.  But if I closed the computer and start it up again, it is new offline.

I can fix this by going to the printer by pressing the button on the front power off and then restarting it - the document in the print queue print immediately.

Also, if I start the Server Web part, select 'Tools' and then click 'Print a self Test Page', the page prints as usual. However, if I then go back to Microsoft Word, the printer remains offline.

HP Printer Wizard starts well and the analysis of function of Document or Photo works very well.

It's just the feeling that is not.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

    Thank you
    Philippe
