  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook dv6-3121nr and issues with start/restart problem after downloading the software.

  Here is a link to put the laptop in Safe Mode. From there, you can uninstall the software that is causing this closure.

  If that doesn't help, you could return in safe mode and then you can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and do not go well on the Notebook.You may need to consider a day before the software has been downloaded and the question that's happened.

  Hello. Thank you for taking the time to provide this information. I did a full disk check and fix today, and things seem to be working ok at the moment. I don't know what exactly the disk check, if anything, and what would be purely coincidental. To answer your questions:

  1. I use Wireless internet connection.
  2. no changes were made to the computer before the original problem I can think. However, the problem, to some extent, continued after I did a factory reset and all updates reinstalled themselves. Immediately after the reset did improve things.
  3. If there is a problem with an update, I think maybe it's a .NET Framework 4 updates, that there were just a few which I will list below:

  Stop and start gave no problems when I had a database. Why I get problems when I have two databases?
  
  I use: show the pfile parameter. SPFile; to make sure that I have the right parameter locations, the error should not be the location.
  
  I never installed two databases on a single machine, then perhaps that I make mistake of a first - timer.
  
  Anyone know how to get this working, i.e. start and stop DB without problems?

  First of all... the Oracle Service for the instance must be started for the DB that you try to connect or start.
  Next... from the command prompt:

  Set oracle_sid =

  sqlplus sys as sysdba

  Startup pfile = 'location of the pfile respective db.

  Now, if you want to start or connect to another DB, which is on the same server (again assuming that the Service is STARTED)...
  From the same command prompt or other session...

  I tested my HARD drive in the other laptop and it starts normally, I did format and then I put in my laptop. I tried to install XP and everything was successful. I could install XP. I am very happy and I did not buy a new HARD drive.

• Satellite A200-1AI - start system problem

  I have a problem starting with a model A200-1AI. When I press the power button on the laptop the power light turns blue and the hard drive light flashes blue for a second and then disappears. And now the CDROM drive light steady green. Nothing appears on the screen at all and there is virtually no noise coming from the laptop.

  I tried the following, but the same problem persists

  -Remove battery for at least 5 minutes and then re-inserted
  -Battery removal completed and started directly via the mains
  -HDD reconnected
  -RAM reconnected, in all possible combinations (one RAM module with the other out has left and exchanged by the two bays of RAM)
  -Reconnected all major components connected to the motherboard, basically, I have removed the keyboard and reconnected everything I could find just to make sure that all connections are in place
  -Connect an external monitor
  -Open the CD drive manually to make sure nothing is stuck

  As the hard drive light flashes it seems to indicate a failure of the HARD drive but I expect at least the machine to enter the BIOS and can report a HARD drive failure? It seems to indicate a failure of a component somewhere but I would like to see if anyone else out there, maybe he knows a mother board failure?
