I have Windows Vista and I use speech recognition Windows, a lot of things. I have used it for years and have really learned to rely on it! Unfortunately, since a recent upgrade of windows installed, Windows speech recognition stops randomly in the middle of using it and it gives me the following error message: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. "And then it stops. When I open it again, it seems to open normally and it will work for varying amounts of time before it does again and I get a different error message.

I tried to restart and it did not help at all. Please, can someone help me? Please?

    Hi Alicia,.

1 update you tried to install?

    Method 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan and check.

This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.

You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

Check the updates that are installed recently.

You can view the following link to check the installed updates:

See the Windows updates are installed

    Step 2:

You can uninstall these updates and try to install the update one at a time and check for the issue.

    Remove an update

    Method 3:

You can also try a system restore to a restore point before the updates were installed.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

  • speech recognition tutorial

I have a Pavilion HPE-210Y running Windows 7.  I got this machine since June 2010.  I just found out that hp has included an application of speech recognition with this computer.  I installed it without any difficulty.  The app offers a tutorial.  I loaded the tutorial and found it very useful.  I stopped at halfway through the intention to come back after lunch.  When I returned to the computer I could not find the tutorial.  I spent hours trying to find it.  I'll definitely be grateful to the person who can tell me how to get there again.

The Help menu in the application of speech recognition has a link to the tutorial.  I don't know why I didn't see that earlier.

  • compose an email with speech recognition

I was able to compose of 3 emails using speech recognition earlier today.  Now, I can't do squat!  He does not do anything!  He just telling me * what was that * no matter how many times I tried and I tried a lot of THINGS!  I even took the tutorial 3 times and still nothing!  (tutorial shows nothing about its use in e-mails)  Someone know a tutorial to compose an email with the word, or have any advice?

So sorry!  Gmail.  I also tried it in my Yahoo email as well, but he stopped working there, too.

Just dictated several E-mail in Gmail. Trick is that having WSR (Windows speech recognition) began before from Gmail.

  • In the speech recognition dictation does not

While he was trying to use the dictation in speech recognition, no speech text can't.  Was working fine before.  No change to the system, but has several different restorations using a variety of dates spanning back to the initial installation of Vista.  (It was the 10th time that I had to reinstall the OS since I got this computer...)  I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP2, on a Dell XPS410.  None of the posts I've seen here have worked, but I wonder if anyone else has tried the spoken command "Start typing.  When I do that, it will convert text spoke of the individual letters but still will not recognize whole words, obviously not a very useful thing if you dictate a letter.  Normal order, IE. Start Notepad or grid of mouse or scroll work etc fine, but tempting product just dictation one what was that answer, or it will try to open a program, it thinks I want to.  I had re form this feature for every installation, it gets old.  All my drivers are up to date.  Once I did a fresh install and all updates from microsoft and dell and used the computer for anything, have not installed any third-party software be it, simply left the system power and ran only chkdsk and other utilities MS once a week or two and, voila! from now, the thing is finished installing, he already had errors listed in Event Viewer.  After 3 months of abot, he operated with about 60 percent of its features to work, the non-functional remains.  Does not require any intervention from the user to the first slide on the ultimate BSOD crash, which, as always results in a resettlement, as nobody on the planet can provide much in the way of answers or help.  I use computers and Microsoft products since 1983 on a daily basis and keep waiting and hope something that works as advertised, but already I see problems of the usual kind happening in windows 7.  Typical.   Ah, sorry, lost in a mug shot here.  Any suggestions on the problem of the dictation?

I'm going to assume that you use a headset microphone any. If so and you are using a laptop with a built-in microphone, go to the sound control panel and disable the built-in microphone so that he is not inadvertently picking your voice as well.

About the command "start typing", it is intended to allow you to start dictating individual letters as a, b, c, and so on. It is not supposed to be used to capture the General dictation. Before you try to dictate, make sure to disable this mode by saying "stop typing.

  • speech recognition - "this command is not available now"...

I have windows 7 with office 2010 and when I try to say commands, such as select Word or correct the word or ordering another new paragraph I receive a message of this command is not available now... when it will be available? also, when dictating a sentence, if I stop it capitalizes the next word in mid-sentence... How can I fix that? and don't forget that I can't use the exact word or select Word... it took me twice as long to make this letter with speech recognition, of the type just... I read on these forums, I googled to death and please please please do not direct me to another forum... I set up my micro I did the tutorial and additional training, I looked over the options and others and I can not understand how to fix... the exact same question was asked and the person who answered just said set up the microphone, the tutorial and the additional training and as many links to forums... I clicked and traveled all the links and the answer may seem not available as to why my speech recognition accepts not my orders... Please answer and if you don't know, don't send me on a forum's wild-goose chase...

The solution to your problem is to click the speech recognition microphone, first before you open Word.  Once the speech recognition is started, right-click it, click options, select Notepad of dictation and then open Word.  If you do it in this order, everything should work correctly in Word.  Notepad will not come to the top.  The command everything will work directly in Word itself.  If you open Word first before the speech recognition and do not have Notepad - "command not available" will come.  I hope this helps.

  • Windows speech recognition keeps closing

    Hi all

I have implemented recognition voice Windows last night and everything was working fine. I installed Windows speech recognition which worked well as Macros. Naturally, I was stopped for the night and went to bed.
Today, when I turned on my computer, I noticed that speech recognition have upward haven't started with him as he was supposed to.
Long story short, after trying to get it to bot, I noticed that the process was starting when I started WSR but it was only 12 seconds and then stop.
I restarted my computer several times for nothing doesn't. I checked the event log and found nothing in the speech of search terms or sapisvr (WSR process). I can run the tutorial and that works very well. I can also run speech recognition Training(I have actually completed it a few times just to see what would happen).  I also connected as long as another user on my computer to do the test and it worked on this user (again, so set it up).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out.
    Kind regards

    Hi all:

A few days ago, I thought about it and had an epiphony.
Because making a repair reveals exactly what the question here is, why not just create another user profile (since it works too), and copy my stuff. It takes less time, that's for sure.
I created a new profile and all my old files copied to it and set up speech recognition again. I reinstalled the program macro (what a wonderful idea it was) and restarted several times to confirm that speech recognition will continue to work. It's been a few days now and I have not had problems yet. (Good call on this JohnD)
Brent, if this question once again, I'll try the upgrade on site. This time I'll remember to bring my vista install disk with me so I don't have to wait however long again to solve the problem.
I'm really curious to know why this problem occurred again. I guess that's probably something unique to my case where a file has been corrupted or something similar. Well.
Thank you for all your help. I'll post here if the question should arise again. That is is not the case, I would say that this issue is resolved. Thanks again to all.
    Kind regards

  • speech recognition turns itself off instead of sleep

After you use the text to speech without error for a week with good results, I met a difficulty. very suddenly my text to speech stops when asked "stop listening".  the program stops automatically. What is a setting that I missed or a sign of a larger problem? I hope there is an easy answer.

  • Speech recognition freezes and requires the restart.

SPEECH RECOGNITION - 2nd try. I am a disabled person who is 85% dependent on Microsoft speech recognition to communicate in writing. Two weeks ago my SR program would sometimes freeze and require rebooting. Today, it will stop working every 2 to 3 hours (I find other similar problem, still no solution) and requires the restart of the plant. He was originally also page redirect at will, which results in the loss of previously entered data. Needless to say that my program of speech recognition works pretty well right now. These last two days have been exhausting, trying to keep the operational programme. Can anyone offer advice, assistants, suggestions or point me down as a path to success?

    Hello

    1. you did recently on the computer until the problem started?

It seems that speech recognition works badly or something is broken. There are a few steps that we can try to solve this problem.
Step 1: Sfc scanner to find and repair corrupt system files.
    1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information, see this link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929833

Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the clean boot to find out what is causing the problem.
Follow step 1 to disable all non-Microsoft services and check if the voice recognition works great: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

If the voice recognition program always freezes, then follow step 2 to step 6 to know what causes this problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Follow step 7 to start the computer in normal mode: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further if necessary.

  • Speech recognition CONTINUES to press the key "Home".

Speech recognition is pretty accurate, but often run unwanted orders. In particular, when I'm in a web browser and I breathe, click the mouse, or adjust my chair, for some reason speech recognition which recognizes it as 'home '. Is it possible to simply disable this command? I NEVER want to use speech recognition for this. I am more than willing to go through the arduous task of moving my mouse on the button "Home" on my browser by clicking. PLEASE DO STOP!

When I'm in a web browser and I breathe, click with the mouse, or well to adjust my chair, for some reason recognition speech which recognises as 'home '. Is it possible to simply disable this command?  PLEASE DO STOP!

WSR, Windows speech recognition, is listening to the sounds of the words. However, the outside sounds in the environment are often interpreted as words if they enter the audio stream between your mouth and the microphone. The best answer is to eliminate these sounds in the audio stream. If you use a microphone to field far as those built in the computer/Tablet notebook, trying to say stop listening when you dictate not and then start listening when you want dictate or issue commands. Alternatively you can hold down the Windows key and tap the control key to act as a toggle On / Off.

For better accuracy, you should use a good noise canceling with close talking microphone. The simplest are those found on headphones with the MIC at the end of a boom in wire. If you already use a good noise protection headset, place the element of the microphone at the end of the boom on the corner of your mouth. This will prevent noise into the audio stream. • Speech recognition in Windows 7 does not work with several sentences

I use speech recognition with Windows 7 and Word 2010. In the past, it worked fine, but now it has developed several questions:

    1. When I say 'OK _', he responds with "this command is not available now.
    2. When I insert a period at the end of a sentence, it puts a space between the last word and the period.
    3. When I say "He went out", he responds with "this command is not available now.

The only change I made is the upgrade to Office 2010, but I have Office 2010 on my laptop and it works fine there.

Is there a way to fix the voice recognition program?

I'm having the same problem.  Windows Speech recognition (WSR) IS NOT playing well with Office 2010.  A very disappointing setback because it appears to praise them to the improvement of the accessibility features THAT WSR will not dictate in Word 2010 without having to accept the text in the window on the other.  Very slow process is the result of the incompatibility and effectively stops to dictate.  :-(

I have exactly the same problem, Word 2010 (32 bit on 64 bit systems) leaves me only the replacement window allows you to dictate text and many features learned during the training now work well in this mode.

It really does not need speech recognition. However, there is no problem using the dictation in Internet Explore.

To fix this (remove the dialog box) right-click on the translation of the speech tool, then go to options, then uncheck the "enable dictation Notepad '.

  • Speech recognition adds unwanted hyphens in numbers.

    I use windows 7.

I'm doing a spreadsheet of the stock information including product codes, which can be a mix of numbers, letters and hyphens.

I have the bases facing up and running, using speech recognition to dictate information for each inventory item.

The problem is that some codes are just numbers, but the speech recognition insists on adding hyphens in them.

For example, a code is 1101039.

When I read this out, speech outputs it as 110-1039, even if I didn't ask for hyphens.

If I say "remove the hyphen from the last word", it will result in 110 1039, which is false because it has a space.

I can request a correction and then select the option that does not have a hyphen, but this slows things down.

These codes are essential, they may not have incorrect hyphens and spaces in them.  It is an incredible irritation to have speech recognition their ruin with hyphens, I never asked.

How to stop these undesirable traits?

    Yes, right, thanks Microsoft.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In any case: I've found a workaround.

    1. tell the number.  The computer will get the right number, but add hyphens.

    2. say 'Remove hyphens last two words' eliminates the hyphens.

3 say "Remove spaces" to remove the void left by the hyphen.

    4 profit!

A few steps further and a little boring, but works well in practice.

  • USB headset connected to PC speech recognition does not work

    * Original title: can not make headphones work

I installed a software that involves speech recognition.  I plugged my USB to the PC headset, but when I tried to use Set Up microphone in the control panel / recognition speech nothing works.  I have connected the headphones to an other PC Win7 and it works perfectly, in fact I could stop using a keyboard.

I reconnected the headset with the first PC and still nothing happens, but I see a message saying "recognition speech could not start checking the Audio devices and sound themes".  I can't find it.

I looked in devices and printers in CP and found the helmet (C-Media USB headphone set) when I look in Properties / General there is a message "device cannot start (Code 10)".  When I check the driver tells me that the driver is up-to-date.

When I shut down and restart the PC with headphones connected to a USB port on the front of the PC, I hear a small amount of Crackle, but nothing else.  As I have already said, there is a message on the office, 'recognition speech could not start. and "speech recognition could not start checking the Audio devices and sound themes"

I have run Windows Update to see if there is an update there, but it makes no difference.

How can I talk to my PC using my headset?

    Thank you

    Tregarth

I tried 2 different USB ports on the front of the PC, no improvement.

I also looked into devices and printers (in Control Panel), the helmet does not show.  Also, when I look in device in CP Manager there is no exclamation point in audio, video and game controllers.

Usually, the front USB ports are connected by cables (often not armoured or not) to the USB controller in the back of a box of the desktop computer. If you haven't tried a rear USB port, please do. If your laptop no matter what USB port should be good.

You cannot control Audio through devices and printers. You don't say what version of Windows you are using. If you use a version of Windows with a bottom taskbar, RIGHT click ON the speaker down icon to the right of the taskbar. Select the recording devices. This will open the acoustic window. You should see a USB microphone in the list. See screenshot below. Highlight the USB microphone and set it as the default. This should solve your problem.

  • Left speaker not working is not after the use of windows speech recognition

I use Windows 7 Professional. Yesterday, I used Windows speech recognition & after reboot my left speaker stopped working. I checked with headphones, but not sound in the left speaker. I uninstalled the audio drivers & installed back, but still no change. I'm sure that there are no hardware problem. I think I need to recreate the image on my OS. Please suggest if there are other options other than the new image of my laptop

    Hi Kitenge,

The problem may occur due to the sound on your computer settings.

Check the levels of the speakers, see the following steps:

    1. Type in mmsys.cpl in the Windows 7 start menu search box and press ENTER.
    2. In the sound Properties window, double-click on the speakers (icon) option.
    3. Then, in the newly opened speakers properties
    4. Double-click speakers.
    5. Under playback, double-click speakers.
    6. Click the levels tab, and then click the Balance.
    7. Make sure that the left speaker volume is set properly.
