  Hi all

  I'm trying to install windows 7 from an iso file using Bootcamp assistant, Version 6.0.1 but unfortunately just windows installer does not open so I'm stuck with this black screen. I left my sit MacBookPro autour with this black screen during more than half an hour and after awhile, it gets really hot so I interrupted the "process."

  I have reset the NVRAM (command + alt + p + r) which did nothing.

  I followed the instructions of bootcamp. I downloaded the correct drivers for my model of mac pro book, I created a bootable and partitioned my drive.

  The forum has a lot of "black screen problems" but none of their solutions worked for me.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. leave BCA creates the installer from USB, but not to partition your drive.

  2. download the correct drivers to install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support and replace $WinPEDriver$, AutoUnattend.xml, and the entire folder on the drive flash USB2 Bootcamp.

  3. run BCA, connect the USB cable and click only the Windows Installer and test if the Setup program starts.

  On my husbands computer all it can get after that restart is a black screen with the cursor showing, after it does appear the welcome with the blue bar of windows mobile screen.  The computer was working fine all day, he was doing research and everything froze, his slider when placed above the start button would show only an hourglass so that he could not restart normally must manually turn off the computer. After reboot, all he got was a black screen with the cursor showing, nothing else.  I tried to boot in safe mode and chose several options, but whenever he could bring up a black screen showing 'safe mode' in each of the corners of the screen and a set of numbers followed SP3 upstairs at the center of the screen, nothing else.   I couldn't do a system restore or anything whatever, and I suspect that the problem came from the last automatic update.  I see most of the questions on this help dealing with Vista, has anyone using XP Home figured out how to fix it yet.  It's almost 4:00 and I worked on this for the last 4 hours!

  I regret that the computer does not load Windows. I would recommend using recovery media to restore the system to factory settings. If you don't have a recovery media, this can be bought through the store.acer.com or by phone with technical support.

  I just bought a little used RockBoxed Clip + someone Head-fi.

  The first time I plug the thing into my laptop with intentions of matching with my MediaMonkey software (so I can load it with music and manage, etc.), it crashes with the USB icon lights up on the screen and a few other icons. I discovered that even after disconnection (re-login) the device that this display won't go away no. matter what combination of buttons I push or press and hold for a while.

  I included a picture to illustrate what I'm talking about here. I wonder if I should just go ahead and ask the guy to get a refund. Or maybe someone here will know what to do to get this thing not blocked. I tried to look for a pin hole to reset. I saw one at the back of the unit, near the top. I tried using a PIN in the hole, without success (I hope that she is in fact intended to be a reset hole).

  I think that the old BIOS will not help you because the laptop would have known that you try to update the BIOS to the older version, and it would break to the top of the procedure.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device.   When he gives notice that no updates are available, then within this screen on the left you do not receive the "View Other Version" option? If you hit so that section, it will display all the version of the OS for your device model, choose someone from this list to install it on your device.

  If the above fails, and you are interested in trying to recover your device by your own try these steps:

  Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

• Black screen after reboot - M30-70

  I received last week from 5 Lenevo M30-70 (April 1, 2015) - all brand new in the box (with Windows 7 x 64 professional pre-installed as the OS).

  I have successfully Setup a laptop with all our standard applications within our domain - this laptop was working fine all day Thursday and this morning (Monday 7).

  After that I was happy that all the applications that we use on standard laptop builds have been installed, I went to connect the laptop to our domain with a custom (in the standard way, via the computer) computer name. This process required a reboot.

  That's where the problem began; After the restart, the laptop for Windows 7 boot screen displayed for a very long time (30 minutes) - I knew it was a problem, as previous reboots took about 15-20 seconds at the most. I then put power off the machine by pressing the power button (until the notification LED power is out).

  Now when I restart the machine stays completely empty screen (not even a post screen!). I tried to use an external HDMI monitor, nothing helps. I also tried to increase the brightness with Fn keys, as well as the Fn key to turn your monitor off (F9). I can say the system is under tension because of the LED power is turned on, and also the power button is eluminated.

  I did the usual thing out batteries for laptops and start, but that makes no difference. The only interaction I get with the laptop at this point is "BIOS beep" when I plug in the external power adapter.

  I called the support Lenenvo UK line that immediately says that he needs a repair... I wanted to just post this here just in case there is an easy solution, as I'm sure this isn't a hardware problem.

  Any ideas? I don't want this issue to happy with other laptops.

• Windows vista 64 goes to a blue screen after reboot of an installed its own.

  I have a motherboard Digital of EVGA790I and he gave adjustments to windows. The BIOS recognizes the hardware installed, but windows has had many problems with the recognition of the hard drive.  To get an operating system on the system, the only thing that install windows was Vista 32 bit on an Eide drive. He did not find the sata drive and I was able to install vista64 as expected. I tried 3 times to install vista 64 to go to blue screen of death just after the system reboots to finalize. The blue screen said problems with removable hardware.  As I said earlier, finally, I tried the 32 bit version of vista and it went right in. I would really some ideas for installing the 64-bit version. An OS 32 bit and 8 GB of memory is not a very satisfactory combination. I checked with EVGA and I have the latest version of the BIOS.

  I thought it could be this old problem when installing 64-bit if you use more than 2GBs of RAM with some motherboards.

• Windows 8 stuck in black screen after "making auto repairs.

  I had my HP laptop for five months. A few days ago that I opened the lid of my portable computer and it loaded and said "Configure automatic updates" at this stage, it was frozen. It does this for about 20 seconds then the screen goes black. I left my computer for about 7 hours and the screen was always return. I do not have windows 8 CD or USB key. What can I do? Nobody here was willing to help with this problem, although there are a lot of Windows 8 users who have this. At this point, I am considering buying a Mac that I can't do it in the face of Windows 8. If someone could help me it would be apprciated. Thank you.

  I tried several repairs. I did a disk check by pressing F2 during the launch, and he said that the hard drive has failed. I contacted HP support and they are sending me a box to put my laptop in which I will return. So they will be replacing as there is somehow guaranteed on this subject. If someone experiences this problem, it is probably a hard disk crash. Good luck
