I have an iPad 12,9 Pro.  I noticed an increase in surge protector Strip with USB connections available in stores.  Is can I charge my iPad Pro by directly connecting the charging cable into either of the USB sockets on the power strip to the surge protector?

Perhaps, but it will be probably cool more slowly than with 12 Watt charger, it came with. Compare the 2.4 output amplifier with current available from one of these ports of surge protector.

  • LR 4.4.1 crashing on iMac osx 10.8.5 when you use the exposure and shadows. Does not restart with about reset surge protector. Worked perfectly for 1.5 years of upgrades to 4.4

    Hello

Thanks for any help you may have. 4.4 LR worked perfectly on iMac 27' OSX 10.8.5 for 1.5 years until October this year when close downs began before making the adjustment on mainly the exposure sliders and shadow. Unit will not re-start less wait reboot power surge will become after 10-15 minutes. Apple replaced the card main and erased the disc. Backup LR 4 recharged and upgrade 4.4.1. New protection against overvoltages or directly in decision-making makes no difference and stop occurs immediately after moving the cursor. An old man can make suggestions or auto checks? This is the teacher/student version.

Thank you dj. I'm going back to Apple and let him until he succeeds (the sixth time, as its under warranty) any other suggestions anyone?

  • surge in the House and now the pc does not start

Despite beinbg plugged into a surge protector, it seems as if the power went out while I was away from home and this caused a wave (a conclusion). I guess it was a wave because now my HP 7250n media center pc will not start. Do not nothing fans. Just completely dead.

What did I try? The light on the back of the computer remains turned on, so I followed the steps I have read on HP forum as an advisor help what to what power is out and the light stays on (as opposed to Flash, which it is not). I held the power button down while the system was disconnected. No power. I then tried to move the tension and then again, although the system was disconnected. It did not return the power. I opened the side panel and confirmed that the sons were running to the motherboard and have been connected correctly.

Of course, I tried the machine on several different points of sale, and it is not a function of a defective surge protector or the decision-making.

I have read one or two related forums which involved a debate between whether a PSU or of the motherboard problem. But I am pretty illiterate about these issues and don't know how to test or change a PSU. And the motherboard, I won't try to play with that. One of the messages, said if the light remained on was probably the case that the power supply was still OK, but this did not mean he would be able to power your computer (and did not say what to do if the light remains on, but rather continued to discuss what to do if the light flashes... that's not my situation). I guess I'm willing to try things if anyone has any suggestions, but I did the basic things that are offered at the beginning already. Are there next steps that someone can suggest?

    Thank you.

Gordon, here is the information on the Belkin surge protector that I use:

    Model: BE112234-10
    Belkin 12-Outlet Surge coaxial Protection

There are 3960 joules (prn. jewellery) of surge protection.  I don't understand the terminology entirely, but my son is an electrician and specialist in security system (low voltage) and he said it's a lot.  At least, for our part of the country.  It has also 12 points of sale with several outlets for small transformers that lift so much space.

Replace a power supply is not so difficult.  The key is to watch where the wires are connected when you delete them.  You can take a photo before you start.  This will give you an idea of the area where they are going.  Most of the news of the PSU have the wires marked clearly as to where they connect.  The motherboard connectors are also marked clearly.  The hardest part is to get all the cables that are placed so that they don't block air to one of the components.  Need me normally up to an hour to do it correctly.  Sometimes, you need to get inventive with bigger cables.

If you need assistance with the project, let us know.

  • Any point of fixing my Airport + WIFI?

I live in rural Panama, where everything in the House which is connected has a surge protector and/or APR protecting. Recently, we had a bolt of lightning nearby, who took on my company by cable modem and my time machine/AirPort base station. Everything was OK or disable. My Mac has been plugged in another room with my backup hard drive.

Is there any point with my Airport to have someone to look or is - it now stop just a door to Apple? I feel really lucky that I should lose nothing else in this storm. Thanks for any advice you may have.

Apple not offer repairs or spare their AirPort products, unfortunately not so much that you can do another just replace the unit.

A really good technician who could steal coins rom an another time Capsule might be able to repair the time Capsule... but the cost of doing that would likely exceed the cost of a new time Capsule.

If you need the data on the hard drive to Time Capsule, you can open it and remove the hard drive, then place the disc in a box or caddy to see if the thrust to the left only the hard drive.

  • On Apple TV Ethernet port does not

    Model: A1625 (64 GB) | tvOS 9.2.2 (13Y825)

The House has wired Cat5 taken and connects directly to the ISP router.  I don't have any fancy network equipment.

I was away on vacation and had unplugged the TV and Apple TV surge protector.  I went back home and plugged everything in and powered the TV and Apple TV on and Apple TV connect to the network via Ethernet.  At the time the tvOS was 9.2.1.  I have the following message:

    "Error ".

Your device may not be connected to the Internet.  Please make sure that your connection is working, and then try again.  "Code:-1009"

I've tried unplugging, reboot, new cables, etc., nothing worked.  Apple TV connects via Wi - Fi so I did the software update to bring the tvOS up to date with version 9.2.2 said Apple TV to forget the wireless network and all restarted and it still does not connect.  Appreciate any ideas?

Test the specific Ethernet jack that you use with ATV on other equipment, such as a laptop computer.

  • SSD not included does not in disk utility

I have Macbook Pro 2014. during the day something happened where I got a folder flashing with the? Select this option. He held the repair shop and they said the hard drive was completely gone. O bytes of data. Instead of paying $150 for them to replace it, we decided to drop one in ourselves. I put the new SSD OWL and now which does not appear in the disc utilities. I tried it a few times and once it appears I can't erase or partition. I feel like there is something else. Any help as to the source would be appreciated! There are storms that day, so maybe something got fried? I had the computer on what I thought was a surge protector but just a fancy output Extender.

It is a pity of the storm or just a bad SATA cable.

  • MacPro UPS connection.

Would it not be smarter to cut and edit the OEM for a Macpro 2010 power cable so that it fits in an APC ups on or cut and connect a surge protector power cable so it can fit into an APC out and have all its points of sale back to the UPS?

Why should you change cables or power cords for use with an inverter? I certainly didn't need to do. You're not being maybe clear in your statement of the issue.

  • HP C-4240

When I press the buttons to tell the printer what to do, to change the format of paper or copy butto, ets, nothing happens, it's like I'm not all push & they won't change. Sometimes I get a message that I have wrong size paper (even though I do not have) and so I'll just stay here and then it will start working on his own.

Let us try to connect the printer directly to a walloutlet instead of a surge protector, and then after the connection to the walloutlet let us perform a power cycle of the unit by the following steps:

    (1) check that the device is on. Disconnect the power supply to the back of the Copier.
    (2) wait 30 seconds, taken in the power.
    (3) repeat steps 1-3 two times more.
    (4) plug back on the third time the power cord to the printer.

Now place a document on the scanner glass and press the copy button to make a copy of the printer. If the copy comes very well then the hardware of the printer works fine.

    Let us know the result.
