Sync blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop has no connection to Outlook

I just did a new install of Blackberry Desktop (v4.5 and v4.3) and when I try to configure the synchronization of my MS Outlook 2000 is not listed.  It worked for me before.  Any ideas what I'm missing?

Good advise.  I finally got to work.  After you have uninstalled and installed as a * beep * for a few hours, I finally understood that you must first install 4.3, copy the folder Drivers USB that mentioned Bolder and then paste it somewhere else.  4.3 uninstall, install sp2 4.2 and when it ask for the driver (you can use windows update, but it caused an error in mine) just point it to the folder of the usb drivers and everything works.  Of course this would not have been a problem if my IT Department just upgraded my PC for Outlook everything except 2000.  ARG.

Thanks for all you guys help, Paul.

PS quick answers too!

    Hello JessicaAnn,

Thank you for posting.  It looks like you might a bad installation of the software components of the DesktopManager.  You can correct this to install the latest version of Java, and you can also see a newer version of the Desktop Manager software.  Since the Desktop Manager software uses Java, I suggest you get the latest version of Java that is compatible with your version of Vista.

  • BLACKBERRY DESKTOP MANAGER blackBerry Smartphones has STOPPED WORKING

Am having a problem with my Blackberry Curve to my office data synchronization.

Had two crashes of disk in two weeks. Later included the replacement of the two drives configured in RAID 0. Am running Vista Ultimate with MS Office 2007 SP2. I've restored the system using the full restore of backup restore & Microsoft and got everything works well again. Since the last crash, whenever I have sync Blackberry Desktop, I get the error: CALENDAR TREATMENT DEVICE - BLACKBERRY DESKTOP MANAGER has STOPPED WORKING.

I was at the forums online and support including Blackberry sites and took the following measures, which neither solves the problem.

    ·         Uninstalled DM 4.7 and installed 4.6 DM (one of the forums suggested this - I was running 4.6 before the last crash when the error started when I upgraded to 4.7.)

    ·         Repaired the outlook.pst file by using the windows onboard utility (he finds errors and repair the)

    ·         Delete the synchronization of the DM section and re-configured

    ·         Restarted the computer Pocket

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

The problem is resolved. I talked to the Tech Center RIM and the calendar on my camera had been damaged. The solution was to remove the calendar on my device and then re sync.

  • Sync Blackberry with Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hello. A brief introduction before my question. Recently, I tried Outlook to XP on my computer which uses Vista and I was not able to sync Outlook with my Blackberry curve calendar. I looked at Outlook 2007 and it is certified for use on Vista, so I expect that my blackberry should synchronize with outlook. My question is; has anyone who uses the OS Vista and Outlook 2007 has sync issues? Thank you

    HELO papabear72,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I checked several Forums Blackberry and Outlook forums and you should be able to sync without problem.
You will need to install Blackberry Desktop manager and synchronization with Outlook 2007. I saw where it syncs with Outlook 2010 beta.

There may be some problems for some people with the Outlook calendar.
You can check the forum Blackberry here or by mail to the Outlook forum listed above.

  • BlackBerry smartphones to SYNCHRONIZE MY DELL OFFICE MS OUTLOOK 2000 CALENDAR and CONTACTS WITH MY BB 8330

I am a personal user and not a business user.

I loaded the disc of Blackberry Desktop Manager, and when I got my phone.

When I connect BB to desktop UBS port, open the Desktop Manager to synchronize software... it returns an error message "no application to synchronize.  What should I do to sync MS Outlook calendar and Contacts with my Blackberry.  Funny, is that I get my emails wireless made for me in my mailbox from comcast.  I spent hours trying to figure this out. Can it be done? Thanks to all those who can help you.

    Hi Laurie,

I did a search just now and I have a thread for you to try. I can't wait to go back, but your situation was resolved by installing a different (older) version of the Blackberry Desktop software. I have Outlook 2003 and XPpro so I know it works.

Read this and see if it makes sense. I can help you with it if you wish.

  • Sync Smartphone blackBerry 8900 problem: "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working".

Curve 8900 on T-Mobile.  Fune Sync worked until a few days ago.  Recently used the Blackberry site to update all the software after that I received a message on my phone to do so (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update/). Now, in the middle of synchronization (Bluetooth or USB), Windows tells me that "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working".  It always stops working at the stage where Desktop Manager treats the device calendar.

I tried all the stuff I can think: uninstalling and reinstalling, Outlook Update, disable Windows Defender, USB and Bluetooth, used the T-Mobile site and the EDGE of the site... nothing.  Help!

    Desktop Manager v5.0.0.11

    Handheld Software v4.6.1.231

    Windows Defender is DISABLED

    Synchronize with Outlook 2007

Could mean that the calendar on the BlackBerry database is corrupted. Are the entries in Outlook until data on the BlackBerry? If so you can try out the BlackBerry database, and then synchronize again. To clear the database on the BlackBerry, go to the backup and restore | Advanced. On the right, you will see the BlackBerry databases. So you can choose the calendar, then click on the delete button. That will remove all entries from the BlackBerry calendar. Then try to sync.

    Any ideas?

I found this on another site:

(1.) start the Desktop Manager software

2.) connect the blackberry using the USB connector
    3.) select "backup and restore".
    4.) select "Advanced".
5.) look at the list of information to be displayed in the window "device memory" on your computer
6.) select "calendar all" and delete it
7.) go back to the main screen and synchronize them.
    8.), everything should work fine!

Essentially, it's a data file of damaged calendar on the Blackberry device, apparently.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to the Blackberry desktop

I recently started having problems connecting to Blackberry Desktop. • Error on blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working

I use Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32 with a Blackberry Bold (9000); I sync with Outlook 2007 and I am running Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate w / SP1. Synchronization worked well for many years with previous blackberries, but the synchronization problem appeared after a year or two of use with my previous camera curve.  I replaced the curve with the bold thinking which damaged equipment could be the problem (one too many drops).

However, the problem persists.  While it seems I can synchronize with success a way (from PC to BB), Director of office falls down to halfway through synchronization of calendar entries in a synchronization two-way, unless there has been no new entry calendar on the BB. The error is an error generated windows inidcating: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.

I tried every solution I could find on the web, namely:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager, making sure that I run the installer as administrator.
    • My Blackberry wiping and reinstalling the operating system (I use 4.6.0.162)
    • Delete the Intellisync folder
    • Run scanpst on my Outlookpst file
    • Clear the entries of calendar on the Blackberry (temporary solution only)

The latter is the only approach that has produced no results.  If I delete the entries on the Blackberry, the

process synchronization adds them correctly, and the next time I run the synchronization, it works without a hitch.  As soon as I did all the entries on the BB unit however, Desktop Manager crashes again, and the only way I can make it work is to clear the entries on the Blackberry and start over.

I'm several months and both handsets of BB has invested in this issue now.  I have a new fancy camera, but am recorded in writing of the appointments on paper when I am out of the office because I know they used to synchronize if I enter them at BB.  Type of defeated half the point of a blackberry...?

Getting desperate here.  Help is appreciated.

    Brad

    Hello Brad!

I had the same annoying problem that you guys have described here.
After trough fishing a lot of post and forums I found a very surprising solution for another type of BB and a different version of the DM on XP and not Vista. Being desperate I tried and miraculously it worked!

Start the DM BB and go - Syncronize - set - synchronisation - synchronization (button) - calendar - Advanced (button) - mapping fields (field mapping button) and I got rid of the synchronization between the flag "alarm" and the "free occupied" and the fields "invited".

I did it and now everything works perfectly.

I have a BB Bold, Vista Ultimate (32 bit), MSOffice 2007 (PRO) and a DMv4.7.

I hope it will work for you also.

    Kind regards
    Steve
