  • LaserJet 4000 TN: The printer HP Laserjet 4000 Series PCL5: error state & quot; message & quot;

I sent the following message to Microsoft after a ' update:

I have a printer HP Laserjet 4000 Series PCL5 TN which worked beautifully "black only" for many years. A recent update (Windows 10:12 / 22/15) seemed to put the printer in the "printer error state", when you try to print a simple document. It has been my default printer for a long time. I followed the suggestions of printer "windows 10", that is, unplug and plug - check cable (not USB) connections, remove the printer from the list of print devices /, reinstall drivers HP for Windows 10 (following suggestions from HP on HP site) - nothing seems to work. It has a network cable connection, but it is directly connected to my computer, no other computers are connected. See screen capture below. I even did a "recovery" of before 12/22! Any suggestions? Thank you. GM

    I received instructions from Microsoft:

You run the printer Troubleshooter and identify the cause?

If this isn't the case, we will do that by visiting the link below and see if it helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-10/fix-printer-problems

Check also the update (KB number) has recently been installed on your computer.

You can also restore printer drivers and check.

To restore the driver, you can follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R on the desktop screen.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.
    • Expand the printer drivers and do a right-click on the driver and select Properties.
    • Go to the driver tab and click driver RollBack.

Can I assume that you use a parallel cable to connect the printer to the computer.  If you do this is a known problem that can be solved.  Go to Device Manager and then click ports.  Double-click the lpt for the printer port, and then click on device settings at the top.  Change the default setting of the middle box checked in the box below to use any available interruption. I would also check the legacy down.  If necessary, turn the computer off and then turn it back on, but most of the time this solves the problem without a reboot.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620 does not print, but the document is sent to the printer without error

I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and connect 2 computers via a wireless connection with the latest driver.
In the first computer (windows 7) I can print without any problem
On the second one (windows 8), when I try to print, I can see in the windows printer spooler file that I'm going to print. The file is sent to the printer, without error, BUT nothing happens.
I already tried reinstalling the drivers, restart the computer, the printer. I tried to connect to a wired network. It still does not. It's very weird but I got no error, just does not print. I thought that the printer does not work, but on the second computer I can print.
    Thank you for your advice

  • HP Pro 8620: cannot delete a task queued to the printer

    Hello.

I can't delete a task I tried to print and when it wouldn't feel like I tried to delete. He just said "delete" and now after hours is still not deleted. I can not print anything else, as it tries to delete this task. I tried to turn the camera and the PC on and outside, does nothing.

    Gary.

    Hello

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.

Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.

Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

    Kind regards

  • Emails sent to the printer are readjusted "undeliverable".

Printer HP Photosmart wireless home more B210 connected to the network.

We have recently updated the broadband router and changed.  Since the upgrade of the printer works fine when printing directly from a PC or a laptop on the network - however, e-mails sent to the printer remotely have now returned "undeliverable" even though the printer email address has been entered correctly.   The printer frequently now also displays a message asking me to put it off and then on again.

In addition to a new router upgraded, we reinstalled the printer and the e-mail address has changed - but the problem occurred before the change of e-mail address.

We tried all the trouble shooting usual tools and have no idea of what happens here. Any help gratefully received!

    Sorted! Thank you!!!

When I try to print, I click on the "print" key, but an another print window appears, with other adaptations can I do, if necessary. However, the OK button that controls the printer to begin printing, is on the bottom of this window and it is hidden by the background task bar. In other words, the window does not appear, and there no minimize or maximize button to reduce the size of the window, I can't see the OK button. I tried to minimize the taskbar and clicking on the top margin of the window to move to the top to reveal the OK button, but it is always hidden. I tried to go to control panel, display, appearance and change the resolution, but nothing helped.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Get the printer and the message "the printer into an error state" will not be printed

Just received this printer refurbished HP 2 weeks ago to replace the one who had a problem with printhead.  Printing worked initially, but now I get the message "the printer into an error state" when I try to print.  The screen at the front of the printer automatically turns off as well, as he is extinguished.

    Hi @M45,

Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to print because the printer is in an error state. I will definitely do my best to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and mark "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    1. Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    2. Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    3. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a bar or a surge protector).

If there's an error message displayed in the menu on the front panel, before the display of the printer turns off?

Please download and run the print and Scan of the doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

    • What were the results when you ran the printing and scanning doctor (she print or scan, error messages)?
    • Click here to update the firmware of the printer with a USB connection.

If you have completed all the above steps and your product still has a problem, service the product.

    Check the warranty status: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/wc/public/home
Cost of repair out-of-warranty printers may apply.

  • After having migrated to HPConnected Central ePrint problems with the print files sent to the email

HP has done once again huge confusion with the replacement of her service "eprint" to "HP connected". There is a reasonable need to do? In any case, after the migration, I noticed several problems:

1 PDF document, less than 5 MB, sent to the e-mail address of the printer is not printed. I noticed with a type of a PDF file that I receive from my Bank. Other PDF files are printed, sent by e-mail also. Any reference to what should be the reason of not print these PDF files?

I want to point out that the these PDF files, I'm referring to not print is printed with success if I print them since my network where the printer and not printed via eprint option in sending the file to the email address of the printer. When using old HP ePrint service, I was able to print PDF files sent by e-mail.

I get "system error, try again"! for the file itself and email body is printed correctly.

    2. in the use of HP eprint service, I used to receive the confirmation email after sending files by e-mail for printing. Now, this is not possible. Read about it on the forum I learned that this option is not available any more, after the migration to "HP connected". In this topic was given the opportunity to connect to connected HP and see if the file is printed or not. If HP has ruined their functionality for lets say more easy way to know if my files are printed or not. If I'm in a hurry and I send and send any phone to my printer, I will not receive any confirmation e-mail (with easy and speed) but I need to plug on HP connect... blah blah blah.

That is why I ask if there is possibility of RETURN migration to eprint, old and not fancy but functional HP ePrint service?

    Used printer:

HP p1102w CE658A, with the latest firmware, with operating system on Windows 7 computers (64)

and always gon no response on email sent to support.

    Its easy to find!

Product HP take or leave as it is.

    I leave!

  • OK to leave the printer on indefinitely in a State of rest?

Sorry if this question was asked to the answer in the forums.  I did a search and found nothing.

I just bought a LaserJet P1102w and running Mac OS X 10.8.2, but it is not relevant.

This printer (and I guess that most of the other HP printers) goes into idle state after a period of inactivity.

Y at - it hurt to keep the printer in this inactive state indefinitely (instead of hitting the power button and turn the unit off)?  Is there a point where the printer actually shut down after being idle for a certain time?  Apart from flashing LED lights, is all power consumed as a result in the maintenance of this printer in idle state?

Thank you very much in advance for any information or advice.

By default, the printer is set to mode standby after 5 minutes.  After that the printer is idle for a few minutes, then the device goes into automatic.

It is not a problem to allow the printer to stay in long periods of inactivity.  The unit will maintain only enough power in the circuit to power the LEDs bit and maintain communication with the router if wireless package.

If you want to change the time or to disable this feature, check the document located here.  I hope this helps.

  • Pop-up ball "this document has been sent to the printer." appears even after printing has been cancelled?

    Hello.

I have a question about printing, the print cancellation and popup alerts in the taskbar on the print job.

So, there were already a few documents waiting to be printed online (and print them) when I clicked on my document to print.

But before my document to print, I decided to cancel it. I deleted my document from the list.

I thought it was her - when you cancel a print job (remove the document selected in the list), the computer don't forget on this subject and that the document is not printed.

I was surprised when I got back to the computer about an hour later to find a notification pop up, ball, alert, printer emerging from the printer in the taskbar icon - the alert said: "this document was sent to the printer. (with the name of my document) (But a paper printed my document be found.)

    What does that mean?

This is a public computer and other computers were connected to the same printer as well - with people printing at the time their company, I canceled mine.

It made me think that there is a chance that my document has been printed somehow despite the fact that I cancelled (but that is not entirely possible)?

And that maybe someone by mistake, took my document with them after they finished their impression?

But I still think that when you cancelled printing your document in the related window, it's a closed work and that the document is never printed. Is this correct?

So my main question is if the message pop-up means "this document was sent to the printer."?

It (the alert) has in fact been delayed and he should have appeard at the precise moment I hit 'print' on my document?

That said this message: only literally only by clicking on "print" a document sent to the printer (but it can always be undone later)? Or this message also pointed out that the print job has been run?

(I have read on this message a lot and learned that you can get rid of it, but I'm more interested in its meaning; I have not found almost anything on this subject again.)

I know my question is looooong (when it's not that complicated, really :), but I would really like to clarification (mostly because it was a public computer, and I can't check on what happened with my doc (if anything even made)).)

P.s.: this is Windows 7 on this computer.

P.p.s.: is there a way to see how many times a document has been printed in a PDF?

Thank you in advance for an answer.

This means that the file was transmitted during the printer, but that the cancel command, you sent were received before the printer actually print.  This is a normal situation.

With regard to how to see in a PDF document, how many times it has printed, no.

  • This document was sent to the printer - windows 7

In earlier versions of windows, there was a section of server properties in the Printers folder, which allowed me to transform the popup "this document was sent to the printer.

How can I disable this message in Windows 7?

    TIA

    Joe Joe

    Hey Joe,

You can disable the notification under Windows 7 as well. To turn off Notification

    1. open devices and printers

    2. Select the printer

    3. in the menu above the icons click the print server properties

    4. go to advance tab, disable notifications of information and save the changes.

This would prevent the pop-up message.

    Hope this information is useful.

I recently downloaded Windows 8 and now cannot get my printer to print.  Tried to print a test page, message says "sent to the printer test page", but it does not print.  Can you help me?

You have installed the drivers and software for your printer?  Did you go to the printer manufacturer's website to see if they still have 8 available Windows compatible drivers?  If the answer is no, then you must do this before all first I try to print.
