  I recently installed a Netgear Wireless - G Router (WGR614) on my computer vista HP laptop and since then, I have experienced a few problems. One day my computer was working fine. I stopped it and when I went to leave the next day morning, the screen was black with a bunch of small lines. It would not load anything so I stop and tried again. It's the same thing. I have not experienced the blue screen since then, but I still have problems with the black screen when starting upwards. If I leave the computer open the black screen turns to a white/blue color and nothing loads. But if I close it then after a minute or two everything is. This could be the cause?

  Start with the wireless router is not the cause of the problems. It is a stand-alone device that simply provides a network connection for your system. Offhand, I would say that you experience a hardware failure, and perhaps the time is simply coincidence.   Hi colleenmercy,

  In the network menu, select default network.  This reset the current network settings and will help you reconnect the printer to the network.  You can use the Wireless Setup Wizard or reinstall the HP software to reconnect.

  Sorry, but your wireless radio is dead.  You can always connect via Ethernet to your router.

But it is connected with a USB cable.
