  I'm sorry you have a problem with the printing of Yahoo.

  See if you can print from another program, such as, (firefox, Safari, etc.).

  I can print from my HP Officejet 6500 All - in - One-E709a, but I can't scan, copy or fax.  All drivers and updates are underway; No recent updates have been made before the problems that occur. I use Windows 7 64-bit.  When the printer is turned on, it still shows Original charge, but no documents are in the charger or on the glass (I already cleaned the glass and have ensured that the lid is tightly).  I have problems to scan, copy and fax. The automatic document feeder works.  I tried to reset the printer several times.

  When I try to scan a document into the document feeder (it feeds through) or from the glass, I get varying answers - rarely, he asked well how I save/handle the doc (e.g., save them in pdf format), but the document does not actually scan and I'm headed to reload the document OR it displays no.   I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite running Windows 10 with, AFAIK, updates. I am trying to send a Word document by fax to my connected OfficeJet 4500 wireless. The printing process works, I get the dialogue Send Fax, I dutifully fill. The document goes to the queue from print, then disappears. The printer is not composing or anything; the document will just in the bit bucket, without error, not even in the case log.

  Other relevant details:

  • I tried reinstalling the drivers; After several hours the skin of HP software, I did.
  • The laptop has 3 printers associated with my physical device: 2 printers generically named ' HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z ' and ' fax HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z "; and "HP # (HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z) ' (where # is a hexadecimal number of device-specific, I'm not willing to share here). The third argument prints correctly to the book.
  • I can scan documents through the HP Support Center application.
  • Copy and fax work correctly to the device itself. For example, if I have first print the thing, I want to fax, then by fax using the document feeder and the front of the device, it connects and sends the fax correctly.
  • The last time I checked, I was able with a fax in a program on my archaic Macintosh.
  • To repeat the foregoing, no errors are displayed or saved. Each attempt appears in the Fax as "Completed." log I don't want to get all the answers canned on the subject, thank you very much.
  • I browsed this forum of the community and support site and tried what I could find and understand how to do in Windows 10 of bugs. (Disclaimer: I've always been a Mac person and a VMS/Mac/Linux software developer, to try to understand how to do something which expected to be simple in Microsoft mess was not easy for me.) It is not suggested with a laptop given to his wife by a friend, however.)

  Given that the Fax icon is not displayed in the window of printers and devices, you need to uninstall and reinstall the software again. This should solve the problem.

I have also updated the driver on my net carrying value of XP. How to send a fax from my computer? I know I do it before, but I don't remember if it was on my Mac or on a previous windows. I also noticed on my Mac that I don't have the Solutions centre that miss me. My fax is not listed in my utilities, but it is in my system preferences. I think I should have deleted it in my utilities somehow. I tested my fax and it connects.

  I finally thought to it! It works! There was an additional step in the directions you gave me. One last question. Where is the log of faxes?

  Your senses are in blue, an additional step is in red.

  1. Open applications > Textedit and type several words.
  2. Click file > print
  3. Click on the area of selection of printer , and then select the series HP Officejet J4680 [CN934960J4052X] (Fax)
  4. ClickText Edit under the beneficiary bo orLayou, etc. on other documents and chooseFax orientation
  5. Fill the destination fax number inthe field below
  6. Click Fax. the unit should start numbering and send the fax.

  I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. The fax works with Vonage, BUT it doesn't really work that well. This may sometimes work, it may not.

  Vonage is a (VOIP) Voice Over Internet Protocol. It has many transmitters communicate in both directions and can cause the interruption between the lines. You can try some steps, but it may not always work.

  1. go in the settings of your Fax

  2. change your Error Correction Mode (ECM) - OFF

  3 set the fax speed to slow DOWN

  Make sure it is properly connected.

  1 LINE 1 at the rear of the printer goes directly to LINE 1 of the Vonage modem (or wall plug)

  2 LINE 2 goes directly to the phone.

  Here are a couple of things to try.  I would first start by download and run the Diagnostic Print utility.  IF this isn't clear, then try the document on the internet printing problems.

  Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

  There is only a Toshiba Software Modem attached to COM3, but I can't work out how to use it to send a fax.
  On older computers, I was able to configure the modem fax as a printer driver and sent faxes directly from Word using a print-to-fax option.
  I find nothing in the General help Windows or using Word that shows me how to do this on my laptop.

  Any suggestions gratefully received.
