touch screen laptop w/no CD drive?

I bought a new laptop touchscreen (no CD drive) and now I know not how to do to reinstall CS5 (just CD).

start at the top and work your way down to apply applicable patches until your problem is solved.

If (win) cc: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html

If your error is:

"Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.

first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.

to find the OOBE:

Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps

Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB

If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.

If you use an installation dvd:

Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.

If you are using a mac:

1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.

2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the

3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

5 restart the installation.

If everything is applicable above fails, check your Setup logs:

What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

The link is on the software page and download drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/7137590/model/7484025

Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

  • Touch screen not working not not for Asus laptop

I have the Asus - 11.6 "notebook touch - 4 GB of memory - 500 GB Hard Drive - gray steel and for some reason, my touch screen no longer works. It worked perfectly the other day, but today it is not. Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix this?

p.s. I tried to restart my laptop and stopping.

I had this problem with my PC S400CA touch screen and fixed it today by following these steps:

    1. Go to the control panel.
    2. Go to the troubleshooting section (you may need to search)
    3. Click on hardware and sound
    4. In the device section, click hardware and devices
    5. That the wizard will scan your computer for hardware problems.
    6. Let the computer solve whatever problems you had.
In my case, there were 2 USB input devices that have been disabled the Wizard turned on for me.  The touchscreen has immediately started working.  Hope this helps someone.
    UPDATE:
The problem to return periodically.  But since the update all my drivers earlier, the problem has not resurfaced.
  • Disable the touch screen for a laptop Windows 8?

I have a Dell XPS L702x infamous Ghost by clicking on issues where the touch screen randomly 'clicks' on arbitrary areas of the screen (mine seems to be in the lower right corner, often minimize all my open windows or opening calendar) and through the upgrade to Windows 8, it seems a former N-Trig driver who disappeared I would disable the touch screen. Now, I have no way to disable the touch screen, and while Google suggested release "Use your finger as input device" under the pen and touch, I don't even have this available to UN-click box on!

So: How can I disable the touch screen on my laptop or y at - it a program that can do for me? I am indifferent in fact using the touchscreen - I'm more concerned with the ability to functionally use my laptop without sporadic clicks on my screen.
    Thank you.

I had the same problem with XPS 17 my wife.    I needed to restore basic functionality so that disabling the touch screen was acceptable.     However, unlike samie (but like you) I didn't "Use your finger as input" option in the control panel.

I tried to disable the device N-Trig driver in Device Manager, but the pilot did not appear to have be properly installed (after the upgrade from win7)

I went on the N-Trig (http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Downloads_Drivers) driver download site and download the new drivers for windows 8 (I have the feeling that they weren't here last week).

I then when options "Device Manager" on the "Hardware and Sound" page of the control panel.

In the Device Manager screen, I saw a node N-trig DuoSense digitizers with several below subnode (before dev driver install it there was only one).

I right mouse button on the element at the top, with a name that ends by "between the roots" and select "disable."

    This touch screen successfully disabled.

Pity to lose the touch screen, but my wife does not use it and I was in danger of my life, as it was.

  • Problems with laptop Asus V550CA touch screen.

I was in a big enough storm at home tonight, there wasn't really any shelter or anything either so I had to make a run for it. I've had my laptop in my bag, it was in mode 'sleep'. When I got home and opened it, I noticed that the water was able to pass through many layers of my bag and really got on my laptop screen. I quickly turned off and wiped, tried to dry as well. When I turned it back on, everything seemed fine, except that the touchscreen stopped working. Everything was working fine, until I realized that a framework had been changed. The parameter "Show content when you drag Windows" or other similar term. It's easily fixable, but when I fix it, it would simply reset after that I restarted my pc. I did a complete refresh of windows 8 to see if it was a software problem and the entire window by dragging the fixed thing itself but the touch screen is always a step to go. So basically my question is can the water stop my touch screen to work and if so how can I do to fix it, if it is still repairable.

UPDATE: after the installation of windows updates, the error of the creation of 'Show' the window contents while dragging is happening again. Himself comes back every time.

UPDATE 2: it turns out that it is ASUS InstantOn causing the setting to zero. Got that fixed, now it's just the touch screen problem.

UPDATE 3 (I know, it's out of hand...): it turns out that this question is in fact quite common with this laptop. Others have the same problem I did and in addition receive the same message from the convenience store. It says hardware not detected and offers no solution. He says just this update of windows is not installing drivers for it because it has been configured this way... Somehow I was able to get this driver somewhere? been searching and I cant find it.

    Thanks in advance

    Ryan.

    Hi Ryan,

I want to try a few methods to solve the problem:

Method 1: Activate the touch screen features.

    (a) press the Windows key + R.
    (b) click on Panel.
    c) go to material and audio.
    (d) click on Pen and touch.
    (e) click the touch tab.
    (f) allow to use your finger as an input.

You can check the following links for more information:

    (a) touch: stroke, tap and beyond:

    (b) touch and pen settings: frequently asked questions:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/touch-pen-settings-frequently-asked-questions

Method 2: Run utility troubleshooting hardware and devices:

    (a) press Windows key + R, type Panel.
    (b) the type of Troubleshooting in the search bar, click Troubleshooting.
    (c) click on hardware and sound, click on material and devices.
    (d) follow the steps in the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

After trying all of the above steps and if still the problem persists, then I suggest you to contact Asus support to check if the problem is with the hardware.

Post us the results after trying the steps above.

I have disabled my touch screen, how do I get it back on?

    @scoop58

Welcome to the Forums of HP,
    I hope you're well

I understand that the touch screen no longer works after upgrade to windows 10,
don't worry, however, as I have a few steps that should solve your problem:

To activate the touch screen driver in Device Manager:

    1. In Windows, locate and open the Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
    3. The touchscreen device is labeled HID-compliant screen touch, or similar. Right click on the touch screen device.
    4. If the option to activate the device is included in the menu, click Activate.

    Keep me posted,
