The new mouse blinks green & red, however, the laptop is not recognize bluetooth mouse.  Ran Microsoft fix the software, however, it has not solved the problem.

Hello

Mouse sounds like it could be defective and if so check with the vendor for a replacement.

Also check with Toshiba support, their books online and the drivers and their forums
to be sure, you have the BlueTooth enabled, latest drivers, as well as for known problems.

  • What's the trick to make Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 "discoverable"?

    Hello

Maybe it's a bit off-topic, but I tried to get my Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works with Windows 7 and had a question about the mouse is.

I know that to make it discoverable, you press and hold the button at the bottom and on the top light is supposed to blink red and green.

In my case, when I do that, most of the time, the light on top of the mouse will turn on/green, for a few seconds, and then turn off.

I have to go through the power of stop/start / hold cycle several times until I can get the light flashes green/red continuously.

Even with a new set of batteries...

So, I was wondering, by the subject: is there some 'trick' to get the mouse to advance in discoverable mode with blinking green/red?

    Thank you
    Jim

    Hello

Just after my last post, I think I found just the "top secret" handshake :)...

    For the record:

    (1) when you turn on the mouse, the light on top of the mouse (green).  It doesn't turn on immediately, but takes a second or so.

    (2) AFTER the light turns green, THEN press and hold down the button on the bottom, until the light on top starts to blink green/red, which indicates that the mouse is discoverable.

I tried the procedure above several times now and have been able to get the mouse in discoverable mode successfully every time.

I think that what I was doing wrong before, it was only I pressing me the button immediately after turn the mouse (that is, in particular, probably before the green light came).

I hope this helps someone in the future!

    Hi Mustang,

Thanks for the update on the issue. I understand the frustration when something does not work very well.
However, the update for the drivers are optional updates and drivers are provided by the manufacturer. As it was working fine before the update, you can try to do a system restore and restore settings and software to a previous date.

See the section restore your PC to a previous point in time, in the following link:

  • Series P30 Microsoft bluetooth mouse & satellite

I bought a microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth with a USB BlueTooth adapter.
I put the adapter and the bluetooth connection works well. I was able to communicate with my cell phone.
But not my new mouse. On another computer, it works fine. On mine I can' install the driver. When I search on bluetooth devices, the mouse, it is recognized, but when I open again the bluetooth devices, there is no show.
The driver for the TouchPad is crushed with PS2 IntelliMouse... and my mouse does not work.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

Unfortunately, it's not easy to say why it doesn t work.
Is - what the other computer has a touch pad or an extra mouse driver?
There may be some conflicts with the touchpad driver. You can try to remove the touchpad (Alps Touch pad Driver) driver, and then test the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. Maybe after this procedure the mouse will work correctly.

In the basic settings select the button on the wheel and select the option 'Middle-click '. After you make this selection, the mouse x and the keyboard focus screen and select 'apply' on the mouse properties screen and select ok. • Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse with my Satellite A60-122 issue

    Hi there;
I'm a new user in this forum and this is my situation:

I bought a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer with a USB Bluetooth adapter. When I plug the Bluetooth adapter to one of my four USB ports, bluetooth connection seems fine. However, I can't work with my new mouse. I have try all this on a Mac computer and mouse everything goes perfectly. I have not yet installed the driver! I don't know what is happening. I had installed the driver several times and it seems OK. DC when I search the mouse over the icon of bluetooth device, I see him there. However, the mouse does not work and when I open again the icon of bluetooth device, I can't see the connection bluetooth mouse more.

My question was already posted by Sorin11 (08.12.05), and I would like to know if today, hopefully there is a solution to this problem of bluetooth.

    Thank you
    Antonio

    Hello

Well, the Satellite A60-122 has no Bluetooth. In this case, you will need to use the 3rd Bluetooth driver and the device.
In addition, the Mac has a completely different operating system and you can not compare the two devices.
Unfortunately, I can't give you a correct answer, why this problem occurs. You should check if you are using the correct drivers. You should especially drivers for Windows OS.
In my opinion, you should ask the manufacturers of the ItelliMouse for the support.

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook 5000 - I can click but the cursor does not move

    Greetings,

I have a Bluetooth Notebook 5000 mouse that has a weird problem. It is well connected to my computer bluetooth, and I have all the updated drivers. Since last week, when I move the mouse, the cursor does not move (on the screen), but when I click on (either on the middle left, right, even scroll to the top and bottom), it works.

My guess is that the laser under the mouse thing is probably broken. I tried different surfaces to see if I got any kind of reaction, but none works.

Now the other problem is that the PID (as well as other numbers) number under the mouse is partially illegible due to wear. I can't see the last part of the PID.

Anyone got any ideas? And is there a way that it could be replaced under warranty, even with an incomplete PID?

    Best regards
