• All of a sudden is: "all TV tuners are currently in use.

  I happily use Media Center on Windows 7 and I'm now all of a sudden the errror "all TV tuners are currently in use.

  I did not need hibernation or sleep. The tuner is an external USB one of HP. I even went as far as the deletion of the Adaptec USB drivers (and they have reinstalled themselves). The drivers are a "Adaptec AVC - 3610 USB Device" and a "Adaptec AVC - 3610FM USB Device" the latest drivers are version 1.7.2.1100 and are since 2005, but please keep in mind that the Media Center worked and now does not work.

  The really strange thing is that when I do the installation of the remote control, it actually displays an image when analyzing the different channels (it found the picture on channel 3, which is what my decoder issues).

  Any help will be very much apprciated.

  I am running Windows Media Center and have a 6 Ceton infinitv tuner connected to my network.  Since a few weeks things have worked very well.  Now suddenly after installing a faster wifi adapter, I get messages such as unable to find tuner or all tuners are busy... who don't feel like I can always go to the tuner by Explorer or chrome, by typing the address of it and it arises but also shows that it is set on the channels that I am no longer watching.  Any ideas on why WMC is suddenly acting when the only thing I did was install an a6200 netgear adapter, nothing has changed.

  Please contact Microsoft Community. I understand that you have a problem with the TV Tuner card, I will surely help you solve this problem.

  This problem might have occurred because of these reasons:

  1 conflict between third-party applications.

  2 driver corrupted or obsolete.
  3. wrong settings.

  Try the steps listed here:

  Method 1:
  I suggest you perform a clean boot and check if it helps. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help you determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

  I have 3 computers running Windows 7 Professional, one of them has a four installed tuner DVB - s2 card. I want to configure it as a server and the other two as clients, each using two of the tuners of the card. I understand the media library is able to use the basic network TV tuning cards, so there must be some way for me to configure the server to send the information over the network.

  Any ideas?

  arrested development of Media Center, so don't expect any new hardware/software to

• Media Center does not support the digital TV Tuners to the Canada, only US places why

  Is there a reason why Wondows 7 Premium Home Media Center isn't support / detect my digital TV tuner when the location is set to the Canada? Only the ANALOG tuner is detected. I have ATI TV Wonder HD 750 PCI-E installed

  I am living in Calgary, Alberta Canada and the Canada's analog and digital at the end of August Tv is not broadcast anymore.

  If I change my position to the United States and enter a ZIP code, as indicated for example, beside the ZIP box, both my analog and digital tuner is detected. manual configuration I would like to be able to view local HD channels, but the TV guide is is in the sewer because I put en location.

  I thought earlier that there will be an update when switch us to television digital broadcasting here in the Canada, but is not passed.

  Yet once, why the Media Center only detects the analog tuner when I have the location defined in the Canada and my correct Postal Code? I enjoy to get an answer to this, if it is the policy of some sort or a miss from Microsoft.

  The question... WMC will not detect digital signals, it allows to detect the analogue, to test the equipment that I tried WinTV7 - has worked well, HWCleared, reset WMC downloaded and installed WMC hauppage set-up ' site, run the whole upward. I live in downtown Toronto near towers so the signals are strong enough defintely (as I mentioned WinTV can find them) however runs the TV Signal configuration, it seems to download the thin data signals tv installation, when it then try look at the TV he replies with 'WMC is unable to determine the configuration of the TV signal' I try to configure it manually Select antenna and it still lists only 2 analog tuners.

  My hope is that someone else has encountered this and has a solution where the WMC can do what it stimulates and will detect the ATSC Tuners.

• Black screen after TV jump back and no tuners after S3 Sleep

  Original title: MCE pesky bugs since the automatic update.

  1. get black screen and no sound when to jump back TV is called three times when viewing digital TV in real time. Very consistent bug. TV files saved in back jump bug does not watch it. Bug began after the last automatic update a few weeks ago MCE. Timeline always moves OK. Must go out MCE and restart to get the picture back. Bug doesnotoccur when you watch TV or analog signals.

  2 MCE reports occasionally have to find TV tuners again after waking from S3. Sometimes, that even after the hot start. But no hardware or software have evolved. No need to rescan the channels. MCE is invariably tuners (10 seconds), and then continues normally. All the latest drivers and updates have been installed. I think that this problem started after recent update MCE.

  My system: Win7 x 86 homepage. Intel i3 550 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 7164 PCIe TV, card > 1 TB disk space. The DTV Australia.

  I want to change my statement from the time of the MS update that broke the timeshift in MCE. I wrote "a few weeks" in my announcement on December 13. Then, I wrote "July" on 14 December. My partner is in agreement with my first memory and it is certain that he was not July, but a more recent problem is to say, late September or October. Sorry that I can not check the date from logs due made a clean installation in November.

  I just installed a WinTV-HVR Hybrid TV Stick, 950Q model. It works better than my tuner internal 3 year but looks like he only uses that the 950Q when the internal tuner is busy recording another program. How can I tell WMC using the 950Q as a default tuner and use only inside the 950Q is busy? Thank you!

  Unfortunately, as far as I know, he has no "Media Center A - Z guide" (at least, no not that I found yet.)  More from broadcasting in various places on the web.  But all of the info is out there (in various locations).
  Anything you can't find, feel free to ask.  A very good place for you to gothegreenbutton.com - this is a dedicated Media Center community.  A lot of help will be required here.

  A few things to help you to started (or, better informed?):

• Toshiba 42L6453D is blacking out for 1 second interval every minute

  I have problems with my Toshiba 42L6453D TV new blacking out [Picture & Sound] channels not HD for 1 second interval every minute or so - HD channels are functioning properly.

  I tried to re-tuning many times, but on some channels this question just keep occurring.

  I also had problems with not only endangered HD channels and have to retune the TV to get back them.

  Any ideas?

  Try resetting the TV to the default settings. I mean back to the factory settings.
  Then retune the channels once more.

  By the way; the TV supports different tuners
  In the worst case, there would be a problem with one of the tuner you are currently using.

  So in my opinion it would be advisable to test the functionality of channel not using an additional set-top box external HD

• Elite book 8440p: what card PCMCIA type should I use?

  Just bought a used book of Elite 8440p.  I need to know what type of PCMCIA card that it accepts.

  No PCMCIA... those who have not been on laptops in 12 years. The laptop has a 54mm Expresscard housing that looks like a little to a PCMCIA card slot, but is a bit different. It is right above the headphone Sockets.

  Tuners TV, card readers, external video cards, all kinds of ExpressCards. ExpressCard has now disappeared and new laptops do not include it but maps are always available. PCMCIA was equivalent to the old slots ISA and PCI in an office; ExpressCard is equivalent to the PCI-e slot.

• Qosmio G30 model Japanese and Digital tuner

  I have a Qosmio G30-593ls which is a Japanese model. I know it has a digital tuner and I want to watch to watch TV in Australia on the Qosmio.

  So far, I have the right cable and were able to get the 5 analogue channels and watch these by Microsoft Media Center.

  But the analog channels are disappearing in a few months time and I prefer digital anyway.

  I was not able to get all the digital channels. I don't have the Toshiba software that I updated to win7 myself.

  My question is:

  Do I need to use a box office to watch digital TV on the Qosmio in Australia?

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  As far as I know the TV tuners in laptops vary by country material so I put t think you can use this internal tuner in the world.
  For this reason, I believe that you need an external device for watching digital TV in Australia.

  Everyone out there in the United Kingdom. with a brand new G20-139?
  You have problems with the HYBRID TV. DIGITAL TUNER. ??.

  The images are great, but they freeze for a few seconds at a time [not on a regular basis].

  DTT signals are perfect, and other digital tuners work well in the House.

  Analoug sigs are perfect and works well on the media library and toilet paper.

  Really, it is an irritating problem and would be more interested if any of you have had the same.
