U350 - Broadcom Gigabit does not

Hello.

I got my U350 today and I'm very happy with it so far. Look great and performs well. But it came preloaded with Vista - which I threw and installed Windows 7 Ultimate instead. Everything works fine - except for Ethernet (Broadcom Gigabit). I tried all the drivers out there, but this yellow question mark in Device Manager will not go away. I also tried Lenovos "driver agent" - but he gave me this message:

After detection, we found that the following device drivers have a problem, but there is no version available at this time repair, you can leave your comments during the investigation.

Any ideas?

I found one that worked in the end: http://www.broadcom.com/docs/driver_download/570x/k57_vista_2k8_32-12.2.2.2.zip

This driver is 139 KB - and it works. Pilots (packets) offers Lenovo are between 40-120MB - and they do not work.

  • HP Probook 6465b: Broadcom 4313gn does not work after the upgrade to Windows 10

My laptop is HP Probook 6465b (model 2012) it came with Win 7 Pro pre-installed.

I upgraded Win 10 and after that a Wi - Fi connection does not work. Then I tried the new facility, but it's the same thing.  I have come back to Win 7, but I would like to upgrade Win 10 if I can get the WiFi adpter for work.  My laptop otherwise works fine and it is not that old so I am confused why this wi - fi adapter gives me grey hair.

    Here is what happened:

Just after upgading wi - fi works very well until the first stop. After reboot, free WiFi does not work and there is no wi - fi adapter in Device Manager. However, it's there, but it is hidden.

I tried freezing and relocation of the map and I downloaded the latest drivers from HP Support, but I can't get the adapter to work.

To get the internet to work I plugged USB wi - fi adapter and suddenly the WiFi Broadcom card started working also. She even worked after unplugging the wi - fi USB adapter but after reboot internal wi - fi adapter was missing again well (hidden and does not), it is too compligated to do each time and she even does not work every time, just every now and then.

    Any suggestions?

  • Broadcom netlink gigabit card does not connect to 1 Gbit/s, auto negotiate connects to 10 Mbps

    Hello

I am very satisfied with my purchase Alienware Aurora ALX and happy to be part of this community.  However, I have this problem:

Does not connect to 1 Gbps Ethernet adapter; Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) confirmed that my router is able to support Gigabit Ethernet.  I have two other devices connected to the same speed (an old PC and NAS).

    (2) when I set the speed and duplex of the adapter auto negotiate, it will connect to 10 Mbps

    (3) I noticed that there is no setting for 1000 Mbps in speed and duplex options.

    (4) I tried 100 full duplex MB, it will connect, but my Internet connection slows down less than 1 Mbps (I'm on a 15Mbps connection and test the other PC it could reach around 14Mbps).

    (5) I then tried 100 MB half duplex, it will also link and my overall network performance is good.

    (6) I have confirmed that I have the current driver from Dell. I've had the computer for 3 days (using windows 7 by the way).

    (7) I tried all ports on my router and confirmed that the side of the router has also been on auto negotiate and not trying to force a specific speed.

I hope someone has a solution or suggestion for this problem.

    Kind regards

    Jason

    * SOLUTION * thanks in part to the previous article.

Here is the Giga speed solution that worked for my new Dell Studio 1458.  I've read a lot about speeds slow xfer using the Broadcom NetLink LAN connection.

There were two things I did not initially, but were in fact true.

    (1) you must use a CAT 6 line on ALL your machines capable of gigabit.  I though that a good line of Cat5e support giga speeds.  This isn't.

Card Dell NetLink is apparently, some initial negotiations with your router (a bit ' as a fax machine), then after seeing all of your connections.

    It will drop the xfer rate down to the lowest common component (i.e. the Cat5e cable).  And;

    (2) map of NetLink won't give you giga speeds in automatic selection (advanced ethernet properties, speed & duplex).  The speed and the duplex window will never

view 1000 MB!  You can check if your is10/100/1000 connection by double clicking on the icon of your connection to the Local network.

I checked the speed of my connection giga via a test utility and transferring a 200meg file.  The results indicate an increase in the speed of 12 MB/s to 26 MB/s.

These figures do not show a factor of ten speeds increase, we'd all have (so much), but they are in line with transfer rates of others.

    I hope this helps!

  • Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet works on Windows 7, but does not work on Windows 8. (Error code 10)

    Hello!

I telled main things in the title.

    Things I've done:

Checked device Maneger, code 10 error.

Downloaded the driver and paste the .sys file in the system32\drivers. Same thing. After I removed it, but the same thing happens.

I wanted to install the latest driver, error code 10.

    What is the problem?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the forums of Windows.

I understand that you have found the error code 10 on the computer. We're really sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We will help you solve the problem.

A Code 10 error is generated in the Device Manager in one of the following situations:

    • Device Manager cannot start the device.
    • One of the pilots who needs the unit does not start.

Error Code 10 is mainly related to devices and hardware driver problems or compatibility problems between the drivers of equipment and additional software that is installed in Windows. Therefore, we recommend that solve you these problems with emphasis on device drivers, configuration of device problems and hardware compatibility issues.

Which is exactly the model of the Ethernet card?

Given that the unit was working fine with Windows 7, you might face this problem because the device driver is not compatible with Windows 8. I advise you to download the latest driver from Broadcom site and then try installing the driver in compatibility mode.

You can follow the link given below to install the driver in compatibility mode.

  • U350 Wireless does not not on win7

Hello - I have a brand new U350 comes with Vista. First thing I did was pure install Win7 Home Premium and the network does not work, or cable, or wireless.

So went to download the lenovo and isntalled drivers

driver Ethernet Broadcom v12.2.4.2 dated 2009-10-21. This update the two unknown devices, it is indicated in Manager devices to networks like these two:

    -Broadcom NetLink (TM) gigabit Ethernet

    -Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

So now the wired network is working but the wireless is not yet. I tried to ensure that is to make the small off control switch and the Fn + F5 thing - but it does nothing and seeing the wireless status light activity by the touchpad does not either.

-I don't know if the driver is not going or what. There are a number of Wireless drivers listed on page downlaod at http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=61415.

Does anyone know if I installed the right driver, or if it is indeed one of the other drivers? Or some other problem?

Installation of the power management Troubleshooter Lenovo is required for the wireless to be turned on. as soon as I installed it the pressure of key Fn + F5 brought to the top of the user interface to activate wireless switch. Obviously the Fn + F5 is enabled by, or targeted for the user interface.

Anyone reading the post I would not download the Intel driver (as opposed to the oldest website of Lenovo driver downloads) such as required for the solution because I successfully install first. I installed the version is 13.0.0.107.

  • HP ENVY 15 t-k000 CTO Notebook: HP Envy My network adapter does not support gigabit speeds. Is there an upgrade available?

My HP Envy 15 t-k000 works very well, but it is slow. I thought it was my internet until I did some troubleshooting and discovered that I don't get the super fast speed that I'm supposed to receive this is because my computer does not have a fast enough network adapter. He's currently the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 it came with. I watched the maintenance manual and could not find an upgrade. Is there a module I can replace with allowing for speeds 1 G?

The part number for the laptop is G0T55AV.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

The adapter you mentioned... Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 is the wireless network card, and I do not think that this card connects everything faster than 72 Mbps.

Your laptop comes with the card Realtek 10/100 ethernet (wired) and it cannot be upgraded because the ethernet chip is part of the motheboard.

If you want a gigabit ethernet connection, so I advise you to buy an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.

You won't find any wireless card that will go beyond the rate of 867 Mbps AC, and you would need a router ca to achieve these speeds.

You would also dismantle the entire notebook to replace the wireless card and if your laptop has a single antenna attached to the atheros wireless network card, you will not be able to upgrade to the fastest wireless card.

A proper AC map would be the Intel 7260 wireless card if your mobile phone has two antennas attached to the atheros card.

It's sad to see how Samhrutha answer to the question in this way.

The driver does simply not good.
The only option to address this situation in the meantime a driver that works, disable features in ' Configure, Advanced tab "on the actual card.
Different properties exist here. Try to enable / disable some of them. It helped for me on Win7 x 64 ASUS MB.

  • Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n does not not on WPA2-PSK AES encryption.

Hi, I just bought this adapter WLAN HP G62-b13SA Notebook PC is Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n his work well on WPA - PSK TKIP, but when I am trying to connect to my WIFI with WPA2-PSK AES or TKIP its not connecting any tried the upgrade and downgrade the driver but still no problem solved. same did the same thing with the ACCESS POINT which is Zyxel G-570. ideas how its going to work or it just does not support WPA2 to all?

I had a similar problem with this network adapter. I could see the networks, the signal strength was excellent, but whenever I tried to connect, it failed. Several times he connected successfully, but the connection lost after a few minutes. In any case, I managed to fix after spending several hours playing with the options on the Advanced page of the driver. That's what I have now:

802.11n preamble: Mixed Mode (this is a must if you are networked mixed g/n)

Afterburner: disabled (not sure about that)

AP compatibility mode: superior performance (I have a router standards)

Bluetooth collaboration: disable (everything started work immediately after I disabled it)

BT - AMP: disabled (not sure about that)

Mixed cell support: disabled (this is not necessary for typical wifi networks)

Technology XPress (TM): disabled (not sure, that's something for the performance of g)

Other options are default values. I use a pilot boarded through Windows Update.

  • Lenovo U350, Win7 broke down, a key recovery does not work

I hope someone can help me.

    Description:

I have a Lenovo U350 with OS Win 7. I did not burn any recovery DVDs/CDs through a Key Recovery program since I bought my laptop. It was my mistake. I should have done it. I does not change the size of the partitions on my laptop. The scores of all the hard drive are partitions by default (C, D).

    Problem:

Last Friday my laptop crashed. I saw the blue screen (System error, I presume) until my laptop went into reboot. After that, I can't start my OS correctly. During the restart, the system hangs. Sometimes it crashes before the Veriface, sometimes manages to go through it and starts the Win 7, but in ~ 30 seconds restart again.

So, I can't start the recovery key under Windows as my system restarts as soon as I click the OKR program with the mouse. I tried to press the OKR (next to POWER) when my phone is turned off. But instead of start OKR interface Windows 7 just starts and everything repeats.

    Question:

What can cause this problem? Virus? System files are corrupted somehow? OKR files are overwritten? Material accident?

    What are the solutions?

I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Randy.
