Unable to connect my other laptop to my wireless more

In addition to having the same problem with the new Ipad. tried to reset the homegroup, sharing, even changed to no password to connect. Same problem does not connect.

Hi Bernie Niehus,.

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community. According to the description of the problem, you are not able to connect to the network via a wireless connection. Provide the following information:

·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

·         You get the error message?

·         What is the brand and model of the laptop?

·         You use a third-party security software?

Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Startup options (including safe mode)

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 3 from the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the article.

The manufacturer of the system should give you a method to restore the system to factory settings as well.  Maybe the press of a button to start, or you were supposed to make the media or something similar.  Call NOW and ask if you can get a CD/DVD restore media.  Get, even if it costs a bit.  Better to get it so that you don't need that when you do.

Windows 8/8.1 also restore, refresh and restore capabilities.  It's good for some things, but methods of restoration/recovery of the manufacturer are the best long term for several reasons.

  • Unable to connect to other Windows 7 network devices - 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes

I have a network consisting of Windows 7 laptop computers, an XP laptop and a Wireless Linksys (Cisco) WRT610 N + N with storage attached to it via its USB port.  Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage.  Since Windows PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network.  Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name.  When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices.  I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

  • Wired laptop but unable to connect to the laptop wireless wireless PC can connect cable PC OK

I have a wired network on whiich, I connected a WAP54G access point for my laptop wireless to children. They are never anything other that connect to the internet, so I never noticed this before. Now, I bought my own laptop and that you want to connect from my main computer but the laptop is not visible on the network. I then connected directly on the laptop to the network wired through an ethernet cable, and it was visible from the wired PC as you would expect. Back fi he returned invisible.

Does anyone have ideas, what could cause this behavior?

    Thanks for all your comments

Presumably using your XP or Vista!

You need to change network settings into the laptop to allow remote connections according to the directives of the wired connection.

You will also need to make changes to the false firewall XP/Vista has as well.

FYI: The WAP54G has no way to filter all network traffic, so the question is not to the AP.

Original title: serious problems of networking on Vista w / Atheros AR5007EG wireless card

    Hello

I have a laptop Acer Extenza 5620ZG running Windows Vista 32-bit and have serious problems of networking. In this laptop's wireless card is an Atheros AR5007EG. I can not even find a site that has a list of drivers, or a lot of information about this card other than message board posts from people having problems. The current driver that I use is the most up-to-date downloaded via Windows update. The wireless card works fine as well as to connect to my router to get on the internet, but there are several other problems.

When I go to my properties of wireless cards and click "sharing" it tells me I must install a Protocol and ask if I want to select a. I click Yes, but absolutely nothing happens. 4 and 6, Internet Protocol versions are both installed or not. When I try to install one of them, I get an error "can NOT add APPLICATION FEATURE: ACCESS IS DENIED." I have all the permissions set and everything and the only person who uses this laptop. Access should not be denied. And I'm not using a firewall on this laptop or my desktop computer running XP, yet the 2 computers don't even ping them. The laptop connects to the network and connects to the internet perfectly.

Also, when I go to 'MANAGE WIRELESS NETWORKS' and try to access the properties of my home network, I get a "WINDOWS has ENCOUNTERED YEAR ERROR SAVING THE wireless PROFILE." THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE FILE SPECIFIED. "

So many errors of this machine Vista makes it obvious that the problems are coming from. I did more research and found similar problems, but still no solution! I also made analyses of viruses, adware scans, etc. and everything is clean. I am stunned with it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Cap191,

    1. what was the result of SFC scan on the computer?

If possible, try to use a wired connection and see if the problem still occurs.

If you are facing a similar problem with the wired connection, then you will need to back up data and then reinstall Windows vista.

  • Printer on Windows 7 PC, unable to connect with the laptop with Vista

I have a Lexmark 2600 Series printer on a Windows 7 32-bit computer.  I am not able to connect to the printer with Vista laptop for my wife.  I can share files and see the printer.  I try to connect and I get "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Impossible operation completed (error 0x000003eb). "I tried to install locally and change the path without success.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Zyfot,

First of all, I would say that you add the printer on the vista computer and check.

    1. open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and soundand then click Printers.
    2. click on Add a printer.
    3. in the Add Printer Wizard, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
    4. in the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.
    5. If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    6. follow the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

    Network printer problems
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-printer-problems

Also, make sure that the print spooler service is running on the windows vista computer.

A print spooler is the service that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.
You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Administrative Tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
    2. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.
    4. under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
    5. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    I hope this helps!

The message you received when connecting this particulat USB external drive, it is likely that the drivers are not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.

  • Unable to connect to other remote access (ASA) VPN clients

    Hello

I have a cisco ASA 5510 appliance configured with remote VPN access

I can connect all hosts on the INSIDE and DMZ network, but not able to access other clients connected to the same VPN.

For example, if I have 2 clients connected to the VPN, customer and CustomerB, with a pool of vpn IP addresses such as 10.40.170.160 and 10.40.170.161 respectively, these two clients are not able to communicate with each other.

    Any help is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I'm a little rusty on the old format NAT, but would be what I would personally try to configure NAT0 on the 'outer' interface.

It seems to me that you currently have dynamic PAT configured for the VPN users you have this

    NAT (outside) 1 10.40.170.0 255.255.255.0

If your traffic is probably corresponding to it.

The only thing I can think of at the moment would be to configure

Note of VPN-CLIENT-NAT0-access-list NAT0 for traffic between VPN Clients

    list of access VPN-CLIENT-NAT0 permit ip 10.40.170.0 255.255.255.0 10.40.170.0 255.255.255.0

NAT (outside) 0-list of access VPN-CLIENT-NAT0

I don't know if it works. I did not really have to configure it on any ASAs running older software. There was some similar questions here on the forums for the new format.

  • Unable to connect to the Network Time Capsule wireless

I just changed ISP (AT & T to Time Warner) and I use my own modem cable (Arris SB6141). I connected by TC via the WAN and knitting laptop via the connection to the local network, but now only my MacBook Air (El Capitan running) connects to the wifi network of TC. Nothing else connects; AppleTV (w/Siri), iPhone 6s (9.3.1). Is there a compatibility issue that could be the cause of the problem between the modem and the TC? Or is there something I'm supposed to change with the settings? It worked fine when I was using a router 2WIRE AT & T U-Verse.

Looks like the router Mode of the time Capsule airport is set to Off (Bridge Mode)... (which would have been correct for use with a 2Wire product)... but, it must be set to DHCP and NAT to use with a simple modem.

Turn off the modem for at least 20 minutes... more won't hurt

    Turning off time Capsule

Make sure the Ethernet cable from the modem connects to the "O" on the Time Capsule WAN port

After the 20 + minute modem switch off period has finished, turn on the modem and let it run for 10 minutes

Then, turn the time Capsule and let it run for 5 minutes

    On your MacBook Air...

Open AirPort Utility... (Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility)

Click on the image of the time Capsule

Click on edit in the window that appears

Click on the network at the top of the next window tab

Make sure that the setting of router Mode = DHCP and NAT

Click Update at the bottom right of the window and give the time Capsule a minute full to restart

Recheck the network and report on your results

Unfortunately, the SB6141 and Apple routers not always who hear well together, so keep an eye on the issues

I tried to connect the printer D110a to my router to Comcast Dual-Band 802.11ac, I can connect to the xfinitywifi with no problem, but not my router

Replacement/change your wireless router, try here.

    http://www.HP.com/global/au/en/wireless/reconfiguring-system-Help3.html

Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try channel 1 first and then the other one at a time.  Make sure that the printer and the router are spaced at least 5 feet.

However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.
