Hi Jacob,

I think that the phone has no failover to the secondary or the SRST because this failover process takes time. The phone will try to reach the primary call three times Manager before declaring the link as dead, and then try saving with its secondary server. My guess is that it reset during this time and when he returned, realized that the connectivity to the main call agent is there. He then joined the main call agent.

This doc speaks to the behavior of IP phone. You can consult the section "failover delayed for SCCP phones."

  • Unexpected phone calls.

I live in England. I regularly receive phone calls from strangers claiming to be Microsoft employees, saying there are some security issues with my computer. They are authentic? Is - this common policy of Microsoft? I usually just say a polite "Thank you" and hung up.

    It is a scam!
Microsoft will never call you unsolicited. They are trying to access your computer. A search on these forums and you will find a wide RANGE of similar questions about the calls.

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with an icon that is appeared after my phone rebooted

My Blackberry Bold 9650 restarted when I clicked on the option of the camera.  After that it was really slow.  I noticed a new icon on the top of the main screen.  Never seen before.

There is 1 with a circle next to it.  Inside the circle is an arrow pointing to the Southwest.  In the northeast corner of the cirlce is red dot something.  I have no idea what it is, but since it appeared after the reboot, I want to make sure I know what it is.

I would appreciate an answer on what means the icon.  It is not true slow more (so far), but I'm still curious about the icon.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

This icon is an indicator of the AppWorld himself or one of your apps has an update available. Launch the AppWorld and archive MyWorld.

I've just updated an application on my 8520, when the restart request I pressed Yes, but 2 hours later still no sign of restart, everything I have is a red light flashing at the top on the right, what can I do?, please help:

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • CTS500 IP Phone 7975 cannot register to CUCM 8.0

Hi, I am new to the area of cisco in video conference, so I found a problem in studiofor our company lab environment,

I have configured CUCM with version 8.0 software, and CTS - 500 can register as an endpoin SIP.

For example, CUCM with IP 192.168.30.2, while that CTS-500 with IP 192.169.30.7

However, the IP Phone 7975 is connected to the CTS-500 with PoE, and he can't join CUCM.

I'm checking the MAC address of the IP phone in CUCM configuration to ensure that there is no typo errors,.

To trouble - shoot, I get the IP address of the IP Phone by switch CDP, and I found that it is not identical to CUCM.

For example, the number in the directory is different with the CTS-500.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

It is best to configure the and RTC with ip static but not essential

Check the option 150 in your configuration of dhcp if his, which provides the cm ip right

Once the registry phon he must share the same line with the cts to work

Also make sure u got the medlit service configured properly too

  • Extension mobility / CAD issue: "You cannot connect because the phone is compatible IPV6"... help please.

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with the mobility of the extension and CAD.

    UCCX 8.0.2.10000 - 41

    8.0.2.40000 - 1 CUCM

    CAD 8.0 (2)

Phone: 7945G (configured according to other phones no 'contact center' of society, but not 'line' unaffected - want them purely for Contact Center users to connect to their posts)

When the user logs in the phone itself, there is no question at this point.

When the user goes to sign in CAD, they are presented with the following error:

"You cannot connect because the phone is IPV6. IPv6 compatible phones are not compatible with CAD. »

Workaround is to unlock (settings > * #) Network Configuration on the config of IPV6 phone and physical removal.

    Settings > * # > 2 (Network Configuration) > 2 (Configuration IPv6) > button 'more' > 'Clear' button > it presents 'clear IPv6 network settings '.

The user can then successfully connect to the CSA.

The problem is that, after his shift, the user logs on to the phone, then when they log in again, the question is again presented and the 'workaround' to manually remove the IPv6 configuration out of the phone must be done all over again (and each time after that too). Arrrrg.

I also noticed that in CUCM > devices > Device Settings > Commond Device Configuration > find > my CDC > the IP address Mode IS set to "IPV4 and IPV6.

A test, I've changed that to "IPV4" only

User logged off phone, phone rebooted, logged in user, has attempted to connect to CAD, same problem. No change! Ahh some more!

Finally, I discovered an alternative (to avoid the issue and the previous workaround)... CUCM, I put devices > phone > find > select > sub-heading ("phone Configuration') 'Extension Information' >"Logout profile"profile of mobility of users and then we do NOT have the issue. Phone restarted, connected, do not connect you, tried all the different States - everything works fine now.

I also found that by setting up a 'line' on the device - the problem is also solved.

HOWEVER, I don't really want to specify a line configured to the individual if possible phones or mobility of the specific user profile.

Is it possible to avoid this? What Miss me to avoid specifying a line or a profile on your phone?

    See you soon,.

    Hi Brett,

I saw something similar once I installed UCCX 8.x to a customer.

Workaround there had to be a SU installed on the UCCX.

  • ZTE phone open does not start after the 1.1 update

I got the download of the update 1.1 ZTE official. I followed the instructions, but when the phone rebooted it goes to a white screen after reading the firefox boot animation. I left it sitting there for 10 minutes and he wouldn't answer. Eventually had to remove the battery.

I tried the md5 check, and I get the following error:

Conclusion File_List package... Open the File_List packaging... Checking File_List package... E: can't open /system/etc/verify.zip (no such file or directory) E:signature check failed

I tried to reinstall the update and got this:

-Install /sdcard... Finding update package... Open the update package... Verifying Update package... E: did not check the whole-file signature verification E:signature doesn't have an abandoned facility.

Is it possible to restore my phone? I searched the internet and I keep getting linked on the ZTE site open, but the old images seem to have been deleted.

Now, when I boot the phone I get the logo of FireFox OS, then fox animation, then I get a quick Flash of white light before the screen turns off.

If someone could help me, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

    Update.

I've contacted the ZTE ebay store and for about 2 weeks, came and went with things to try. Nothing helped, and they end by had me send the phone back and sent me a replacement.

The new phone is still the old version of the operating system, but at least it works.

  • Why is firefox for mobile settles not on my phone from motorola bravo?

I have a bravo gearmotor with android 2.1 System. I have download firefox from the market and when it made 10% or more in the installation process results in my phone reboot. I have tried several times with the two normals of the market, directly from mozila and with a side of my laptop charger. In all cases the installation at aprox. the same point causes the phone restart. App other downloaded applications and programs install ok, but not firefox.

Sorry, I don't know what could cause this problem. If you happen to have the Android SDK (developer tools) installed, it would be useful to see the output of the command "adb logcat" while you try to install Firefox.

Have you installed a previous version of Firefox/Fennec on this phone?

    Hello

Have you tried to connect this smartphone to the different USB ports on your laptop Satellite C850-B252?

    If this isn't it.

As far as I know the laptop supports a USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports and it is strongly recommended to test all USB ports.

In addition, you can use a USB Y cable that lets connect you this smartphone to two USB ports at the same time. In the event that this problem is related to the low-power USB port, this cable may be the solution.

  • Received a phone call that is supposed to come from Microsoft Help Desk all downloaded on my computer junk files! Is it a scam?

I got an unexpected phone call this morning. The man at the other end is said to Microsoft Help Desk. He said he had an urgent problem with my computer. He said that, as part of the automatic updates download, my computer had downloaded some unwanted files likely to damage my computer. He said that the files would fill my drive causing my computer to grind to a halt and also undermine my security software, leaving my computer vulnerable to attacks. He wanted to sit in front of my computer and he would talk to me through fixing it. I did apologize and hung up. I now had two of these calls.

The sounds of all of this as a scam to me! I have no way of verifying that this person has been Microsoft at all, and I can't imagine Microsoft never call someone at home like that. I guess it was someone trying to access my computer for criminal purposes. I couldn't find anything on the web site of Microsoft to think there was no truth in what in told me.

Can anyone offer me any advice?
