Uninstall printer

B209a PhotoSmart printer.  Win 7 64 bit.  I used a telephone support about a week ago and the tech had me use an UNINSTALL program from the web.   I can't find it now.  Where is it on the web?

I found it completely uninstall Photosmart software is not easy.  I don't think I mentioned it earlier, but my goal was to be able to reinstall the software Photosmart, due to problems with the existing installation.

Unless the previous software is completely uninstalled, you won't be able to reinstall everything .

That said, the best way I found is to use two procedures for uninstalling one after the other.

First use Revouninstaller (best) or (in Win 7) Control Panel | Programs and features.  After you have done this, find a source of the file Uninstall_L3.bat of HP.

A source would be to enter folder in search for Win7, then click on TEMP (what, on my PC, allows you to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp) click on util and, finally, ccc.  Choose the most recent file starting with 7Zs and click on it. Click on the Uninstall_L3.bat file.

Pay attention that the procedure can take a while and there are some series uninstalls that will take place, many of whom need your presence, with periods where it seems everything is done, but another procedure will always be held if you wait - maybe 15 seconds.

I hope this helps others.

  • HP Deskjet e3520: manually uninstall Print Driver

    Hi all!

I got myself in quite the situation when I tried to clean up some temporary files and save space on my rather small SSD.  As such, I accidentally deleted the uninstall program for my HP print driver and now I can not uninstall the software, nor I can install newer software.  The software is looking for a file, DJ352x64.msi, located at AppData\Local\Temp\7zS0DDA, but there is obviously no because, well, I deleted it.

So, any advice on how to manually uninstall my driver's license so I can get my drivers updated?

    Thank you!

If the problem persists, you can try the solution proposed in the thread below.

    (1) open the command prompt window by clicking on the Start > applications > Windows system > guest.

    Type: net stop spooler

    Enter: net start spooler
    Type: exit

    2) open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86

NOTE: any % is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; It is set when the OS is installed.  Most systems are like this C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86

    (3) in the w32x86 folder, there will be other folders and files.  Delete everything inside, but DO NOT remove the w32x86 folder.

    4) restart the computer - perform clean boot in Windows 10 / 8 / 7

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?

  • Error message of recovery even after uninstalling printing 20 of Broderbund

Original title - Windows Vista/Broderbund incompatibility problem

I did a thing bab! I downloaded and installed printing 20 of Broderbund to my Toshiba Satellite A355-S6879 laptop which has windows vista.  I uninstalled it, but there's a problem.  When I close the lid and open it back up, it is re - begins with a recovery error message, or I have to turn off and turn on again with a message of error recovery.  All the world out there doing something this stupid and was able to solve the problem?  Help!

    Hello IworkForTheCat,

I would go into the registry and see if you can find any mention of Broderbund the print shop 20.
Note: the REGISTRY settings change incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Go to start. In the start search box, type Regedit.
Then, in the Menu bar, go to Edition and select search. In the find what box, type the string value you want to search.

Please make a backup before you make any changes in Regedit. If you are not comfortable making changes, then please take it to a qualified person who can help you with your problem.
You may need to contact Broderbund to determine if they have a removal tool or they can tell you where to find entries in the registry.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to uninstall printer driver that is not installed on the computer

Original title: my "unknown device" is a printer I own is no longer!

To solve the problem "code 28", I have to re - install the driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 - but the printer is no longer installed, and in fact I is even more has the printer.  The HP printer appears on the screen "devices and printers", but when I click on the yellow triangle on my laptop device, it brings me to the unidentified printer and the hardware - MF\Officejet_Pro_8500_A910 & WSD & IP_PRINT ID.  How can I uninstall a printer that is not installed, or how can I update the driver on a printer that is not installed.

Thanks for reminding me about MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware.  I used MalwareBytes a few years ago to kill a particularly tenacious virus that prevented me from my virus program execution.  I ran the two--identified only 4 files MalwareBytes and removed and SuperAntiSpyware found 286 tracking cookies - I zapped them.

Now, the best news of all...

Child of a friend's House of the college - he won grants and national contest for his expertise in computers/software diagnosis and repairs as a sophomore in high school.  He stopped on the way back to decipher problems with computers on the local school district and spent every three minutes solving my problem.  I don't really know what he was doing - he did so quickly - but he said to send you the link and you will understand it better than I could explain it.

The yellow warning triangle disappeared, and the unidentified printer is no longer there.

I want to thank all those who contributed to this thread - your persistence and patience has been remarkable.  I learned a lot from the experience even if I was not able to completely solve the problem.  I congratulate you all.

  • Cannot start Windows 7 Print Spooler stops (0x000006ba error) when installing or uninstalling printer.

This PC had a fairly recent reinstallation of Windows 7, then he started screening blue, run system restore a few weeks and works very well, but it will not be printed.  When you try to install a printer, it gives a 0x000006ba error code and says that failed to start the spooler.

    Hello Kevin,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Forum.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

What is the brand and model of your printer and your computer?

Try it out below mentioned methods and see if it works for you.

    Method 1

This tutorial is designed to help you identify and fix common printer problems in Windows, including print errors, print spooler errors, and other issues that could prevent you from printing.

    Solve printer problems

    Method 3

If the question is always persistent then it means either the print spooler service is missing or damaged, I suggest you run the REG file that was downloaded in the link provided by Ramesh Srinivasan in his position, responded on June 2, 2012 in the thread link provided below.
