Update problem of blackBerry Smartphones devices

I wasn't sure which forum to post this, so I started here.

I have a lot of Torches I need to update.  I can't do wireless so I use the desktop software to do this.  I downloaded the update of my career and install it on my PC.  I ran a single device through the process and everything worked fine.  I have 2 other devices on my computer since then, and no device recognizes that there is an update.  I tried one of the devices on another computer where I installed the update.

The desktop software is allowed to update only 1 device?  I have about 20 to make and want to bring back to my computer to update.  Or how an I can get several devices to update to a computer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave

I find that Desktop software works very well.  I found an update to the version I was using.  Since I installed the update, things are working well.  It seemed weird that after the first, other blackberries could not do the update.

Thanks for you help.

I just updated my device software, that does not need to do, and there is some changes that have been made that I would have changed back to factory settings and I was wondering if it is possible.

First question: can I cancel this update of useless software to restore factory settings?      If it isn't...

Second qustion: How can I change "Default unit" on the device to another parameter (for example, in the calendar)?

Another question: when displaying emails, is it possible to set the device to always display images in emails?

Thank you for your helpful suggestions.

    Thank you for your help.

For your help with question 1, I don't think I have a go uninstall, and then reinstall the device software.  I think this is the current version of the software and I agree with it.

    2nd edition, as fact.

Question No. 3, both selections were already set to 'yes' and again, was not automatically open images.

I think it's something I won't have to deal with that.  If I can find some difficulty then good, then that's fine as well.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones / Device Manager issue

Hey guys, I have a problem.

I recently acquired a Blackberry 8330 and let me start by saying this: it's one of the best machines I've ever held. It is simply amazing.

I installed the Device Manager and have been using it without any problem. Then, I went and did an update wireless with my phone, the upgrade of the OS. Since I did this, however, the Manager has recently stopped recognizing my device - my computer recognizes him again, as he charges when it is plugged in and I can always access to the hard drive, but for some reason, I cannot use the Device Manager to do anything - down, States in the Device Manager there is no trendy Black Berry as shown by the 'None' exposed next to the Pin number.

What can I do? I really need to access blackberry via the Device Manager. Someone, please help > _

    Things I've tried:

-Restart the Blackberry (both by pressing the red button and pull the battery and re insert)

-Update the device to the more recent version Manager

-The latest version is uninstalled, then download and install the version provided with the blackberry (4.2)

I noticed that the CD that came with the device itself does not contain the most recent edition of the Device Manager, if that means anything. It's just weird that the Device Manager has stopped working after I upgraded. Currently, my OS is V4.5.0.175. I've recently updated both my 8310 Black Berry - same question parents. Before, I could access it via Device Manager. Now, I can't. Please help me!

  • Screen problem touchscreen blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Storm2 9550

    Hello!

I am a Sri Lanakan. Last week, I bought a Blackberry Storm2 9550 used, eBay (from a seller of e. u.). All the functions work fine except the touch screen. Can press on the touchscreen. (edges and around the screen) But he get caught suddenly, and also when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon. (as axample, when am pressing contacts in the home screen, phone highlights two contacts and sms). As I suppose, at this time there the phone detects it as multi touch and so I can't support what either. When am reset (battery pull) the phone, it solves the issue for a few minutes or hours, subsequently faced the same question.

I tried to fix it by putting a piece of paper to the battery cavity, but nothing has changed.

My storm is an unlocked phone (Comes to Verizon, but later unblocked), which is running version 5 software. ...... . 713 fact in Mexico 5.

I want also to the last update available for my phone and how to update.

You have other ideas on my problem touch screen? This is the main question, I want to solve as soon as possible. Do I need to fix it with a spacialist? Is it a hardware failure or a software? He solved by upgrading my version of software or restore to the factory settings.

None of these remedies could work. Without practice, it is impossible for me to know anything 100%. The best advice I can give you is to upgrade your operating system to the latest version (. 1015). It could very well be that, as a device, it was damaged by the previous owner and it will never work for you. As I say, it is impossible to tell at this distance-internet.

    madhava909 wrote:

What is the meaning of the hard reset? It is equal to pull the battery?

In my opinion, Yes, but there are others in the world who think differently. The best reference is the official:

    • KB02141 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone

Most of us who have dealt with this for awhile understand that power should be turned on when you pull the battery.

Once again, it's impossible to say at this internet distance.

The other appears only if your carrier has eliminated an update wireless for you. You say that it is the "best way" for you... I would add that this is the MOST DANGEROUS way. You see, via this method update, on the device of data backup is taken, that is rendered after the update (the update effectively wipe everything). This backup is a file use 1... If something is wrong in the upgrade process, all your data is lost forever. The update method that I gave you is the best method that 1) it tells you first take a manual backup and 2) the process itself will also take another backup... and both of these backup files are stored on your PC and can later serve as a source of food since they are not 1-use files.

You have already the link... it's in the instructions I have given to perform the update... This is the portal of official download for all carriers. Simply, you browse to the carrier of your choice and download their bundle of BONES for your model number.

Hello and welcome to the community!

First of all, it looks like your battery may be dead... Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Once your battery is fully functional, so please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

If it came already sorry. Given that the location of the server is unable to connect to app world - it isn't a big deal YET. But would love some tips he gets up and running, because I already removed the battery etc and am now a bit stuck.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you need to provide more information... for instance, "cannot connect to app world" isn't really we say exactly what is happening in your situation.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Problem checking blackBerry Smartphones Whatsapp

OK... Here are the steps that you need:

Beware of all the warnings, he said. Later, when you make your restore, don't do not restore basically this will just put it on your BB policy... rather a selective restore of only those databases that you absolutely need and especially leaving off anything to do with COMPUTING strategies:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

  • Problem of blackBerry Smartphones updated my device?

Hi, I have a blackberry 8520 and I connected it to my laptop and desktop manager says there is an update to the phone so I clicked on update phone and it saved my phone then it tried to download the modules but it gets stuck to 604 of 658, it happens all the time , would be - it because im connected to a service mobile broadband? Because it's the only time his arrival

Could be. Whenever you have problems updating your phone, it is often useful to make a gesture at once.

First, download the new operating system on your computer and install it on your computer. Here is the download site. Once you have the software on your desktop computer (PC, right?), you can then do the update on your phone via the Desktop Manager and not to worry about connectivity issues to the course.

Unfortunately, it really does not offer much help (btw... your SD card is not relevant... only the Application memory is relevant). You might do better with this process:

From a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

    Hello

Try the following.  Download the operating system of your carrier's Web site and install it on your computer.  You can do this by selecting your operator from the list here: http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Once you've done that, see if necessary applications will appear in the desktop software.  If this isn't the case, then there is another method which should work.  Just to be sure, make sure you back up your first device using Desktop software first.

On your computer, go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and run the Loader.exe file.  (Note: on computers 32 bit, should no (x 86) in the Program Files folder because the Program Files folder).

Once you start the Loader.exe file, simply follow the steps until you get to the point where you can select the applications.  Now you should see the option to check the Documents To Go, notebook and any other software that has not been installed.  Once you have all the apps you want enabled, simply press next (note: leave everything that is checked as checked, unless you want to uninstall).  This should now load the applications on your BlackBerry while keeping the rest of your BlackBerry file system.
