Also I don't even know if nero is the correct program to use to make a copy of my collection of dvd backup. but he also told me about another program called burner to angle of attack there is no recorder found and I am positive, my driver is an it is a combination cd/dvd RW, I use windows xp home edition, I know very few readers, and don't know what to do.

Hello
Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.
Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves

Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

My CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media
Both my cd/dvd readers do not read the discs, they say just please insert disc when it is already inserted.
Hi Metalmick,Method 1:Try running the fixit from the link provided below >

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

Qosmio G30 PQG31E - no driver XP 32? Cannot update the BIOS?
As usual, obtained a computer laptop, but no recovery CD :(
Got 32 installed XP (my Microsoft contract does not MCE) but a lot of missing drivers. Driver Toshiba page has all the drivers for XP MCE, XP 32 has only BIOS update, Bluetooth, HD - DVD firmwares, the virtual sound and drivers WI - FI!
So I tought "Vista on this issue", but I checked the compatibility XP with Vista DVD I got a 'need to update the BIOS' (always a 1.40-2006/03/10)!
My problem is that BIOS update always returns "this computer is not supported! Laptop has only one account, this isn't permissions problem, perhaps because many drivers are not present? Can I update the BIOS in safe mode? What now? Am stuck with a brick of Qosmio? Without controllers LAN to say the least, I can't not fact! Drivers XP MCE does work on XP 32?
Any thoughts?
Hello
I found all the Win XP drivers for Qosmio G30 PQG31E!
On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find the Win XP MCE drivers
XP MCE drivers are the same drivers for Win XP Home or Pro.There are also some BIOS 3, 90-WIN and this BIOS is operating system independent. In other words, it works with Win XP and Vista...
To update the BIOS the common Module must be installed
You can find also on the European driver Toshiba page! -

Satellite P300D - problem with reboot after update the HARD drive
Hello
I have laptop Satellite P300D - 12 c and recently, I put a new hard drive, the Seagate momentus 7200 RPM 2.5 "500 GB. It works well, but I have a strange problem; normally when I reboot the laptop when it will close something sounds, in the figurative sense I could say "something moves" for a bit in the DVD - ROM drive and shuts down and then restarts.
Now, when the reboot happens to the part of the dvd - rom drive, I described above it stucks there... "something is happening" on the dvd - rom drive as trying to permanently access a dvd or something and he does the same thing until I force it to shut down by pressing the appropriate button. It happens once in two attempts to restart.
Does anyone have a solution or a tip or something? If you do not understand something to tell me,
Thank you very much
Hello!
I agree with Akuma. Maybe the drive is loose and so you should try re-allocation of places there.
Maybe it worksAnd updated the BIOS, you can find the Toshiba site:

Updated the BIOS via bootable USB drive
I want to update the BIOS by using the ISO image provided. I want to write this image a usb, then on startup, the bios update. How to create bootable USB drive.
My system is E430, although the question is pretty generic.
Hi again, ahaider7
I don't think that a program would be necessary. However, after doing more research, I'm not sure the work process. In addition, update the BIOS via USB is not supported, because as far as I know. If you want to update the BIOS of your machine, I highly recommend using the utility to update the BIOS. You can also burn the .iso to a CD and the image file.
Kind regards

Since the reinstall drivers, my LG DVD writer does not read DVD
Original title: LG ELECTRONICS LG GSA T40N Super Multi DVD IDE burner
I had to re - install the drivers on this drive and then I noticed that there is more to read the DVD. This drive will now appear as a CD-ROM read only by car. When I tried to roll back the driver, the option was not available. Re-installing the drivers did not help and when I went to the LG site the disc has been abandoned and no support was available.
How can I get this drive to read DVDs? What is the problem with the drivers that I have updated to what makes them to record the album as a CD-ROM drive?
In the run box, type: regedit, and then click OK
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E3
25-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
With the right button of the upper filters button, if necessary, and then click 'remove '. Click on the Yes"" button.
Click the lower filters key, if present and click 'delete '. Click on the Yes"" button.
Close the registry editor and restart your computer.

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have

reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
Operation of the network.Prevx - Home - free
Windows Firewall
Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)
Protected IE - mode
IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)
I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
right of IE)Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x
Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-

Finish those you don't use).
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast
Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here

would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie

never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.I hope this helps.
