URGENT: Some USB devices no longer work in Fusion 3!

I used 2 Fusion (and its minor updates, through 2.06) on my MacBook Pro.  I use this machine for multimedia player for a high school variety show which I am the technical director.  I use a few pieces of music via iTunes on the Mac side, and a few Powerpoint/PDF slideshows (video content all) through my virtual PC machine.

Side PC is necessary because I have been connecting to a Casio LCD projector wireless.  This connection uses dual USB adapters, one for the projector and the other for the computer to connect.  It worked perfectly throughout Fusion 2.06, and I've never had problems.

However, this morning, I downloaded and installed Fusion 3, and I am regretting doing so.  My virtual machine will not recognize or even feed of Casio's wireless USB adapter.   I tried everything to try to remedy this.  Our last rehearsal for this variety show is tonight, and the two representations are the next two nights.  If I don't get this situation resolved in the next 4 hours, we are irrevocably screwed.  We have no way of any video content of the project.

We know that Casio USB wireless adapters are not compatible with 64-bit OS, which is one of the reasons that I am running XP SP3 on my virtual machine.  Fusion 3 for Snow Leopard support (and its associated 64-bit architecture) would be the problem?  I'm not under Snow Leopard on my Mac, but I'm just speculating...

Also, is there a quick way to "roll back" Fusion 2.06, since I know that worked well with these devices?

Please, if you please, please help and fast... in fact, if you wish, you can call me: 651-210-5998 and ask for Mike.  Thank you.

Not giving power is really strange, I don't think he has everything what we could justify this.

I think that it is probably independent.

Yes.

  1. If you updated the tools in the comments, uninstall them.

  2. Uninstall the Fusion 3

  3. Install Fusion 2.0.6 http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/desktop_downloads/vmware_fusion_for_the_mac/2_0

  4. If you have uninstalled tools, install them

After reclassification of the merger of 6 to 7, some USB devices, specifically webcams is faster to connect to Windows (guest) or Host (osx).

They also no longer appear in the USB & Bluetooth under the Virtual Machine settings.  Anyone else see this problem?  Try to understand this point, I completely uninstalled merger to try to solve this problem.  Webcams work fine under OSX itself and are usable.

7 merger supports a virtual USB camera, that can be added as a new device in the virtual machine settings. This allows the physical camera (USB or integrated PCIe FaceTime HD) to share between the host and the VM at the same time.

There is currently no option in the settings of the VM to UN-hide USB cameras for passthrough to the virtual machine, but it can be done with a preference.

Edit the ~/Library/Preferences/VMware\ Fusion/preferences file and add the following line:

    vusbcamera. PassThrough = 'TRUE '.

If possible, try to install the operating system with recovery media. On this way, you will have to factory settings. It's the best test you can do. If the problem persists, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Sorry but on this path is not easy to tell what the problem may be.

  • Satellite A210 - 11 c PSAEG: Vista SP1 - USB mouse no longer works

    Hello

I have an A210 - 11 c (PSAEG) with Vista. A few weeks ago and after installing Vista SP1 my mouse USB optical (wired Logitech V100), began to fail - the background lighting of the mouse turns off and the pointer freezes.
The first time I used to disconnect, then return to the mouse, which solved the problem.

Later I had to change the USB port as well, in order to make this work. And finally, since yesterday, the mouse has stopped of works not at all on the laptop. Plug it into a USB port, Vista displays a notice of unknown/a device failed, but not more details.

Moving the mouse over other PC shows the material is ok - the mouse is recognized and work.
I also tried to connect other USB devices (an MP3 player), which seems to work fine as well.

So, it doesn't seem to be problem USB Hub.

Everyone knows about similar problems after Vista SP1?

    Cheers, Ivo Kolev

    Hello

    > Is - anyone experienced similar problems after Vista SP1?
From my experience, not all devices, drivers, etc. are compatible with the Vista SP1.
I read many articles about the teething problems

Have you noticed the same thing without SP1?

    However, I would recommend this;
Go to Device Manager and remove the USB controllers and USB hubs.
Reboot the laptop. While Vista again recognizes the USB ports.

After this short intervention, try connecting the mouse still once

  • PowerEdge 2850 message error, no display, usb devices do not work and all readers are off (a little)

Hello! I'm here in the dell community because I'm having an error with a PowerEdge 2850 server. When I boot it all seems to work, but inspection closer both blue and yellow led on the front is off. All devices (such as a keyboard) will not turn on. Supplies seems to work perfectly well with the error led out of power and both of the Green led on the power supply on. The drives at the front lights up but then after 2 seconds the led for every hard drive goes off and then when you reconnect the drives it will be on for 2 seconds then turns off.

    I tried:

Reset all RAM chips and CPU in the case

Replugin all hard drives from the server

    I tried multiple monitors

has tried just using the power supply instead of the power brick or a surge protector

and tried to run it only out of a raid, everything ends up in the same result

I have no idea what to do so im just going to ask the community of dell. Thank you!

    Hello.

What is the error specific are you? Try the system at least to the POST with the following components:

    • System Board
    • Processor
    • A bar of memory in DIMM1-A or B-DIMM1
    • Power supply
    • Riser
    • Control Panel and bottom of basket (necessary only when the last power state was off. Ensure that all USB devices, including the keyboard are disconnected.
  • Satellite P10 - USB port no longer work

    Hello

I have a huge problem with my computer usb portable-ports(satellite p10).

After that I tried to connect my hard drive external with my laptop, all of my devices usb is lost. I tried to update all the drivers for the chipset and usb. I even updated my bios, but without success.

Even other usb devices as my camera and mp3 player not recognized by the computer system. But it seems that the usb port still have power because my mp3 player display a reaction even without battery power.

I hope that someone knows a solution for this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know, but if the USB port is bad there is also a no power supply possible. In my opinion, the mp3 player shows a reaction because the device detects a connection to the USB port.

In my opinion, you should contact the Service of your country partner and let check the device. I don t know how old your unit and if the warranty is still valid.

    Good bye
