  Just bought a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition (no parallel port), but can't get the old Deskjet 500 working despite reading all internet posts, of the solutions.   I hope someone has a story to share.

  However, when I try to print a document, the document in the queue of the printer as "print...". "but get nothing printing.  Then after a minute or two, the printer queue message becomes "error - printing" and the icon of the printer goes 'green' checkmark to the triangle "yellow!"

  Any help is appreciated.

  I see you are trying to reproduce the web services page.  The 7520 Photosmart doesn't have the option to print the page of information on the printer itself.

  Try the following steps.

  1 obtain the IP address of your printer

  a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.

  2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

  3. Select the Web Services tab.

  4. on the left side, select print information Page.

  I paid $20 to HP for this information.   They said that the secret to getting the Menu support isn't on the web for the 6500 has more printer.

  My printer has stopped printing black, even with a new black ink cartridge.  I've had the printer for the last 4 days guaranteed when this happened.  Was on my second or 3rd Xlarge black cartridge.

  I have a wired network printer HP Officejet 6500 E710a-f. The printer is installed and runs on a network at another location. He has worked on Linux and Windows machines. I have moved and have tried to connect with two different routers. No router "see" the printer. The Panel Network icon is not lit. I can't put a static printer IP address as he always comes back to "automatic" and it sees "no link". Needless to say that the printer is not detected with the HP software (I used Linux and Windows 7 Pro). I can set it up as local USB printer and it seems to work fine. I rechecked the cables are good with other devices and routers 'see' other devices.
