Venue 11 dead Pro 7130

I fell asleep this week listening to music from game google with the Tablet is plugged.

The next day morning he don't would be not turn on even if the white power light was lit.  I left it plugged in and tried again later, took the battery to reinstalled it, tried to power it with the dough, battery, not good.  No response whatsoever.

However since the first day after his death, white power led on the Tablet without lights any longer.

The charger seems to be working, it has its own white led lit and it can power other tablets and phones.  I used a different charging cable.  Still no joy.

If the tablet should be able to work without a battery in if we give good juice?

These power supplies are known to fade?  The battery seems to be pretty good considering he is 18 months old, I got another 4-5 hours or more and no warning.

Is that what I can do to prove if it is the battery, the block of POWER or tablet that does not?

see you soon,

C

Hello, CAM,.

I had a similar problem last year that was linked to the charger - I replaced the cord with one that has been the most durable and most able to deliver fresher.

It seems to be some difficulties with the CMOS battery - and what I've been through would say that if power reaches a critical threshold, the standard charger cord doesn't have enough capacity to deliver the load needed to replenish the CMOS 'mostly dead '.  I left mine plugged in and turned off for more than 24 hours before the start of this operation once again, even with the more rugged cord.

If your system is still under warranty, let Dell help out - if it's the battery, the work they can do to solve the problem of system can prevent a repetition of what you see now.

  • Windows 10 build 9926 unusually heavy use of CPU on the venue Pro 7130 i3 11

    Define how the other owners of 11 Pro 7130 meeting places had good success in the management of the Windows 10 preview, I conducted today a place in upgraded from 8.1 to 10 build 9926 (the one with the Continuum, which is great), but I'm having the issue of constant between 50 and 99 percent high CPU load , with no guilty in the Task Manager. Before you go to format and do a clean install I wanted to ask if anyone knew this problem.

    EDIT: the unusually high load seems to be triggered by a process called Windows Driver Foundation - user, whose executable mode driver is wudfhost.exe.

    A complete reinstallation did not help.

    EDIT 2: If someone experience the problem, disable completely the service named "Windows Driver Foundation - user-mode driver framework" helped, with seemingly no ill effects, although after weird restarting it may need to be disabled later.

    As a warning, I note how in general, it is never a good idea to go mucking in services.msc.

    Some information about my experience with the Windows preview 10, the two pre - and after Cortana on a Dell coming Pro 11:

    1. Builds before the last Technical Preview 9926 looked much more like Windows 8.1

      1. They shared the same start menu and app store. It was almost like 8.1 with all it's bugs ironed out - and a few goodies in. Really worked well on my V11P.
    2. 9926 build adds many new features - but also adds tons of bugs.
      1. Look around the net and you will see common problems that are corroborated by many users of the technique of the preview. You will have to take the good with the bad.
    3. Upgrades (from 8.1 to 10) on-site are problematic - ESPECIALLY with the most recent Technical Preview 9926
      1. My installation of the latest version of Win10, migrate my settings 8.1 resulted in an installation with tons of questions. My Active stylus barely worked - sensor HID driver will fail to load and having problems. He would go to the mode standby and never go on low power, draining my battery. He had 100% fail still to wake up from its sleep - I would get a black screen that requires a hard shutdown and reboot. I also had the CPU usage very high with the WDF service. As mentioned above.
      2. Overall, a lot of things online really as you can imagine - and this is frankly not worth it to upgrade on site.

    So, with that said - what was the solution?

    New installation.

    Here are the steps to get the best Windows 10 installation on a coming 11 Pro (I know - in my experience).

    1. Download the version of ISO - installation of a USB disk with the utility in Rufus

      1. Boot on it by pressing volume up several times during boot up until you get the boot menu. Then use volume up to move to the bottom of the list - low volume to select the highlight boot device.
      2. After the installation of the key USB - copy the most recent copy of Dell Wireless driver for your Intel/Dell Wireless card, a copy of 7-zip, and a copy of the latest Dell cabin Pack for the 7130 file in a directory on the USB drive (make one, name drivers or something).
    2. Install the Windows technical overview 10
      1. Delete all partitions on disk 0 (or whatever your SSD) until you have one unpartitioned space - and install it.
    3. When you first - start your screen will be slow/choppy as all hell!
      1. This is mainly due to the fact that there are very few compatible drivers cooked in Windows 10.
    4. Do not start to install the drivers from the Dell site - many will prove to be obsolete.
      1. Only install the drivers from Dell/Intel Wireless to obtain network connectivity and the internet
      2. Then install 7 - Zip and extract the CAB Driver Dell file in a directory on your C:\ called "C:\Dell.
    5. Now you have a network connection - start Windows Update

    1. Windows different Intel chipset - including video device drivers will begin to download.
    2. It will ask to reboot - let him.
  • Now - if your tablet is something like mine - after it restarts, it will start flickering like hell.
    1. This is the video driver Intel panic hell. Tablet may hang - just persist through the pain and continue.
    2. I found mine to panic more with the help of the touchscreen - so I plugged a mouse.
    3. Mine has been fixed by disabling "Auto Refresh Panel" in the Intel graphics options menu (click Law Office, Graphics Options). This setting can be found under the section power options.
      1. Do it and restart. My flicker ceased thereafter.
  • At this point - I expected and wanted things worked, but open Device Manager
    1. (Start menu - type "Device Manager") - or-(Start Menu-> Control Panel-> Device Manager)
    2. There was a last device without driver SM Bus controller. Click - Update right driver and point it to the directory of D:\Dell you have extracted the CAB file.
    3. It was't until what I installed the driver for the device that he would go to sleep properly connected.
  • Now - a word of warning. Unlike earlier versions of win 10 - my Eve connected sessions drain about 1, 500 MW/h. That's what I saw in 8.1 Win no matter what I tried - I wonder if there is some sort of driver problem - and replacement needs. My sleep study reports show some offenders - everything works for less than 1% of the sleep cycle, but the material is not a descendant to C3 to sleep, which is where the power drain is. Looks like a driver chipset of a certain type of malfunction - I'll do a trace and try to isolate the problem.

    Apart from that-, all has been MUCH more stable. Sleep (although draining the battery) are coherent rock, I have the high utilization of the processor in the stronger WDF service, and the active stylus works exactly as it should.

    I'll stop it between uses for now - and keep stable and see if there is a driver chipset or something that solves this problem.

  • Games on a venue Pro 7130 11 8/256?

    I've taken over a 'exit - new' Pro 7130 coming 11 8/256 last week (dock keyboard and stylus too) and I'm crossing my fingers that there not any question that I saw posted here, especially in the 'Freeze' huge wire. If she has any questions I can do some troubleshooting, but probably will return it before my 30 days are up. I can't afford to be stuck with a defective Tablet this expensive and be unable to return.

    In any case, my world is perfect with a 11 place works perfectly, I would like to make some plays of light on it. I have a ton of available older games I've bought over the years on Steam, Humble Bundle, GOG, etc., which I think could run. For example, games like Baldur's Gate 2, Defense Grid, FTL, Kingdom Rush, etc.

    Recommendations for this table/CPU can manage well? I don't mind reducing the necessary resolutions game performance.

    Has anyone connected a X 360 controller? If so, the problems with him?

    I recently had the chance to try the same coming 11 Pro model and I can answer your questions for you safely. Intel HD 4200 of the vPro model isn't exactly hardcore gamer material but it will get the job done admirably well more often expect naturally. It is more than enough for one of the applications on the Store. It can also play several games of office before 2008 at the higher and somewhat more modern settings with medium or low settings. Referring to my own experience and that of other securities experienced, there is the series half-life series Jedi Knight, Star Wars Battlefront, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2 and Fear just to name a few.

    Some recent games like Civilization 5 cannot be read to quick, but without fear. They are still able to work with low settings very well. If you are unsure if a game will work, just look to see if the minimum specifications specify if it can be played on a Radeon X 1950 XT (sometimes referred to as "Radeon X 1950 series") or the Geforce 7900 GTX (sometimes referred to as "Geforce 7900 series"). The reason why both of these desktop graphics is more old cards about position until, or offer the same performance as the Intel HD 4200. In any case, your tablet will be able to make the deal if one does.

    I am pleased to say also that the Xbox 360 gamepad works well. As long as the game says that it supports a Xbox 360 controller, it will work on your Tablet coming 11 Pro.

  • Bought 11 5130 Pro place but Dell told Envoy held 11 Pro 7130 and send me a replacement

    I bought the "Dell place 11 Pro 5130" with the processor Atom Bay Trail and 64 GB on May 27, 2014. The item was delivered to me on May 30, 2014. The item arrived defective and the serial number indicates the element as "Dell place 11 Pro 7130" (see photo below - description of the object shows 5130 and 64 GB of storage)

     After talking to the agents and technicians, the specialist resolution Sandra, regimental 112383 says that she has checked and verified that Dell sent me the wrong item, but she would not give me a replacement or fill in the correct order. She seemed rude and appears discriminatory and also told me that I can do what I want, but it will only refund me the money and do not send me a replacement at any price.

    Dell cannot sell me a bad product and forcing me to return the unit and replace with the right pair. It is not only unethical but also illegal to sell something wrong and does not offer a replacement on your own terms and conditions.

    Just a tip, you can search on the support page of 5130 directly rather than rely on the service tag for the updates. http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/Dell-venue-11-Pro/drivers

  • Dell Tablet wireless keyboard does not not with the venue of Dell Pro 8

    All,

    I bought my wife a venue of Dell Pro 8 for Christmas and the Tablet Dell Wireless Keyboard.   The keyboard has been delayed until after Christmas and just arrived, but we will have problems to run.  We paired up it and controls volume and brightness keys work fine but if none of the keys work.  The Tablet click on w I also nothen you hit but no letters don't appear in the word or the IE address bar.

    We have a defective keyboard?

    Scott

    Hi Lou,

    Thank you for taking the time to answer, but as I said, we had no problem of this pairing and some of the keys worked (volume and brightness controls).

    I found the solution to the problem which has been updated from the BIOS.  It seems that the aircraft delivered in December with the original BIOS A01.  We ran a Dell utility provided with the tablet that he upgrade A03, whereupon the wireless keyboard worked fine.

    Thanks for trying to help!

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro 7130

    Hello

    I recently buy the renovated site of Dell pro 7130.

    The Tablet is absolutely fine and works very well it was preloaded windows 8.1 pro version.

    But in this tablet, my camera does not work when I start windows's default camera app that it says please connect your camera. See nothing in Device Manager, I tried to manually switch the unit Imaging section but failed each time, I haven't updated all the latest drivers from Dell still no luck, also check that the camera is turned on in the BIOS.

    Can anyone please help and give me the driver for this device. or doe which means my camera died completely?

    Hello

    I have EXACTLY the same problem AND I tried EXACTLY the same things you did... you found a solution to this problem?

  • Tablet is dead. -Venue 11 Pro (7130). -Now what?

    It is a meeting place 7130 Pro 11 (serial number: Service tag removed by privacy policy >)

    It used windows 8.1, worked fine one day without any sign of distress, the next day, it lights,

    Only the orange (red?) LED lights indicating that the charger is plugged.

    I tried these combinations of special keys, 20 seconds and such, or other for the diagnostic mode or bios. but no, the only thing that happens is the LED briefly flashes, dark going again, then back to orange and the continuous device sitting there doing nothing like a potato.

    The charger and battery have already been checked and they have no issues.
    There is no problem with either ssd or wifi card.

    He did not participate completely yet, but it is likely that I need spare parts or get a replacement.
    I'll see if Dell is able to help me first, otherwise, I have the opportunity to replace defective parts myself, but I don't have the spare parts available, I'm in Australia, it would be nice to find the parts locally another experienced crowd who are familiar with this situation.

    See you soon.

    Also. I'm not very impressed with the site of Dell--have spent many many many hours during recent weeks make attempts to contact our support, but has been continually to go around in circles and nowhere for some reason any all * support webform, I tried inexplicably refuses to work correctly for me and my submission, to dismiss (* I managed to get on the sales department) (, but they said to contact technical support.) Fortunately there is this forum or I might had to actually resort to use the ol' phone ', and we all know how fun that is, not us. :-|

    It is now fixed. found someone with a card mother spare for it. works well again. in the meantime, I bought a tablet of surface 3 pro, it was on sale. but it's nice to have a work dell Tablet once again.

    Thank you.

  • Venue 11 Pro 7130 w / vPro - rate issues

    This just started this weekend.  Of course, I had the unit for 10 days, so it could have been a problem before today and I noticed that just now.

    My 11 Pro coming loses so that connected battery life and charge it at night while he was off , gave a load of only 15%.  I use 24w charger provided with the original cable.  I have my Dell Power Manager Express load value.

    When I boot into the BIOS and click on battery with the plugged adapter information, he says it's an adapter of 3w.  It is obviously a problem.  I unplugged the adapter and plugged back into the micro-USB port.  He said then it is a 23w adapter and begins to load.  Large.  Until I realize that the '' correction '' lasts a few minutes, and my coming 11 Pro is to drain its battery while plugged in.

    Everyone knows this?  Can I have a defective BIOS? Faulty hardware?

    Well.  There is something wrong with the Mobo or port.  I tried a new charger with the same result - drains battery while that trendy, 24w adapter detected as 3w in the BIOS.  If I can't get Dell to a maintenance operation (unit refurb, apparently someone else still "owns" in the Dell documents), I'll have to send it back.

  • Place 11 Pro 7130 i3 (model no-VPro) connected ongoing sleep issues again?

    Hello

    I noticed that despite a number of improvements with the last firmware panel touch (the rare involuntary repetition of letters) and still a problem of firmware (no more wifi from the A13 firmware problem) device always on my 11 venue Pro model i3: during sleep sessions connected excessive battery drain.

    What happens is that, after leaving the appliance for 8 hours (overnight) connected standby battery has already drained almost 50%, which, as far as I understand, is much higher than that should be the case, while often after the awakening of the device, I found that another application may have open or some kind of parasite entries occurred.

    For now I've worked around the issue by disabling connected standby mode of the registry, which has the additional advantage of allowing hybernation in the stop menu. This, however, is a suboptimal solution because it seems necessary to either press the Windows logo on the chassis of tablets and THEN press the power button for a good second to wake up the unit, or with the keyboard connected, it is necessary to close the Tablet and re - open, followed by the same press the power button.

    Given that I seem to not be the only one with this problem and the lack of software updates for the device-specific over the past months, I would ask Dell if these issues of connected intelligence are still studied on the 7130 with a possible solution to come in the form of firmware updates or otherwise , or if attention was completely shifted to the model with processor Broadwell followed 7140.

    Update for the people of the future: using this version of the SD card reader driver seems to fix the problem, which should have returned to a default restart driver driver specified on the support of the 11 Pro place Web site must be installed in Windows.

  • Venue 8 5830 Pro upgraded to win 10 Bluetooth keyboard problem

    I could put my 5830-10 Windows using Microsoft 'MediaCreationTool '. I, unfortunately, had no room for the update and had to go to the wipe everything and then install Win 10 option. It worked.

    Unfortunately, many of the drivers had to be updated and I have been busy doing that, but I have a big problem. When I bought the first of all the coming 8 Pro, I also bought a case with a Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard worked fine with 8.1. To help to win 10, I've matched both the keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse. The mouse works fine, but even if the keyboard is paired, its strikes are not registered and that I have to use the on-screen keyboard.

    I found a post on another site that offers to go into the settings of "accessibility" and disable FilterKeys. Unfortunately, this setting is for the keyboard on the screen and not the Bluetooth keyboard, if it does not work. There seems to be no help in the Bluetooth settings. It shows that the keyboard is paired, but not much else.

    I guess I could try another keyboard, but it worked beautifully with 8.1.

    Any ideas?

    cooverr

    Yes, absolutely... and does not work.

    What I understand, Microsoft has changed their Bluetooth Driver in Windows 10 for safety reasons and it's much older BT keyboards with sloppy software does not work in win 10.

    In case it helps someone, I finally found the solution to my old Bluetooth keyboard work with Windows 10 on the venue Pro 8.

    In the device under Bluetooth-Bluetooth car radio-> properties > Manager there is a tab named 'Power Management'.

    The option "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked by default. I unchecked it and my old Bluetooth keyboard that worked with Windows 8.1 works on Windows 10 once again.

  • Venue 11 5130 Pro 32-bit to 64-bit

    Hello

    Is it possible to upgrade the Dell coming Pro 11 (5130 32 Bit version) to the 64-bit version by installing the 64-bit version of bios?

    And is it possible to update the partition to boot/restore to 8.1 64-bit Windows?

    Initially, the 32-bit version was installed due to lack of driver 64 bits for the atom. But now the driver 64 bits are out and I want to go to the 64-bit version.

    Thank you

    Sorry, but the processor is 64-bit.
    The fact that the venue are shipped with Windows 32-bit is only because Intel do not have a drivers for 64-bit Atom when the place out. Now, the drivers are out.
    The only limitation is the bios. Another manufacturer lets the user to move to a 64-bit operating system and driver with the same processor.
    While it is true that there is a limitation of the hardware on your tablet, its only because Dell wants to limit. Intel has say that this isn't just a limitation of the pilot material.

    For sure, it was my last Dell hardware. No support, no response to no mail, planned, obsolescence no upgrade possible.

  • Venue 8 Audio Pro problems

    I continued to see the videos on the way in which noise levels are good on the venue Pro 8 but the audio levels on my device are so low, that I often use using the external speakers (not always possible).

    Is there a solution to increase the volume level on the meeting place 8 pro?

    I don't have a problem with mine.  It is not "Home Theater" volume or quality, but it is definitely strong enough.

    If I plug in headphones, it is too hard before reaching the max volume.

  • Venue 11 Throttling pro i5-4300y

    Hey people of Dell, it seems the 60 ° C limitation is a bit too aggressive. Is there any plan to increase this to 70 c or better? I'm strangled simple tasks sometimes make... an update of BIOS to increase that would seem in order. Oh, BTW, my 8/256 4300y seems to work perfectly. I know that others have had problems, but this tablet is fantastic. I ordered a pro at the same time, used side by side surface and sent to the back of Surface.

    Thanks Doc, I got the update and the fix! You're right, Dell has released a series of updates to the bios but they have a strict low-power issue, and they should avoid the players here. Doc, I read your other post with the mods and I thought I'd share for all noobs, no need to learn the hexadecimal just follow my steps.

    And Yes, this removes the limitation.

    Download the custom start file bootx64.efi, and then copy it to X:\efi\boot\ and then placed in a USB key.

    Then turn off secure in the bios startup

    Then start with the USB key, you must be in a mini console. Then at the command prompt, enter the variables you want to change. for example.

    grub > setup_var {address} {new value}

    The mods.txt will show you the addresses and values to change, IE the address, the value by default, and then on the desired value.

    for example

    grub > setup_var 0 x 39 0x00

    the first is the address, then its default value and the last is the value that you need to take it.

    * 0xD0E 0x01 0x00; Power package limit lock
    * 0 x 54 0x01 0x00; Platform power lock limit
    * 0xD04 0x01 0x00; CFG lock
    * 0xD0D 0x01 0x00; Current value RV lock
    * 0 x 39 0x00 0x00; Configurable TDP lock
    * 0 x 23 0x20 0x10; Shift of activation of TCC

    * 0x3A 0x00 0x10; TDP Config lock

    These changes are reversible.

    Also, you can change the power setting to increase the Turbo max using a program called bar edit. Be sure to first install the tvicport.

    When the edit bar locate the address FED159A0 and change all values of 0000000

    It it's no limitation more.

    PS the Tablet must be fully charged or battery for effect to take place.

    Has anyone tried connect a HDMI microphone on their place of dell 11 7140 pro after windows 10 upgrade? Mine does not work after the upgrade, but the HDMI from the dock works.

    I have thus display driver problems on 10 to win.

    For me, the micro HDMI port works fine. I use an active adapter, so that could make a difference.

    The HDMI on the dock works well, but only if I directly connect to an HDMI display. If I try to use a passive DVI adapter, then the external screen is not recognized. In addition, the DisplayPort on the wharf is also unnecessary, regardless of the type of cable or attached monitor.

    I encounter this problem after performing a new installation of Win 10, using the brand Dell drivers and latest drivers Intel installed by Windows update.

    It is certainly a driver problem Win 10 because everything works fine if I boot the Tablet under Linux using a USB key.
