Very high speed of CPU!

Last two days, I have experienced a few problems. When my computer is turned on, the gets (98-100%) very high CPU speed and after a few minutes my computer hangs and then I have to turn off in strength. I'm not an expert on this issue, so I would appreciate your help.

Here are the specifications of comp.:

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium Copyright 2007 Service Pack 2

Hewlett-Packard-Compaq Presario A900 Notebook PC

Class 3.1

Processor Intel (r) Pentium (r) Dual CPU T2370 1.73 GHz 1.73GHz

2.00 GB RAM

SystemType 32-bit

.. and what are the process when I open the Task Manager:

Sidebar.exe, Opera.exe, taskmgr.exe, dwm.exe explorer.exe, SndVol.exe, ehmsas.exe, ApMsgFwd.exe, NMBgMonitor.exe, ehtray.exe, HpqToaster.exe, iTunesHelper.exe, avgtray.exe, igfxsrvc.exe, SearchSettings.exe, jusched.exe, HPWAMain.exe, hpwuSchd2.exe, MSASCui.exe, QLBCTRL.exe, QPService.exe, IAAnotif.exe, Apoint.exe, igfxpers.exe, hkcmd.exe, igfxtray.exe, WiFiMsg.exe, Apoint.exe, unsecapp.exe, ApntEx.exe, winlogon.exe, NMIndexStoreSvr.exe, csrss.exe

I tried to run scans with AVG, but my computer froze during the scan, so I couldn't finish it.

Thanks for help.

Hello

Use this utility to see if you can work on the causes. Work in Mode safe when necessary.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Very high values of CPU Vcore

    Hello

After that I noticed that my MacBook Pro (15 ", mid-2014, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, El Capitan) started running without apparent heavy load, I installed iStat Menus to check the temperature of my hardware.

The time seemed right, however I noticed that the CPU VCore values were extremely high, being around 1.77 V, while I knew that they were not supposed to exceed 1.40!

I tried to reset the SMC, but statistics are the same.

Here is a screenshot of them:

    I'm not overclocking my computer.

The values of VCore supposed to be so high on this model? I tried searching online, I found another user with the same questions but no answers.

    Hi Oceansoul221,

I have exactly the same problem after I noticed that my macbook runs just stupidly hot, I think I use the same as you, but with the 2.5 Ghz i7 (which I think is the i7-4870HQ model) and the GT 750 M. Given my experience with desktop processors a Vcore of 1, 8V is crazy, which probably makes me think the reporting software may be wrong (may be an estimate rather than an actual reading). Or it could also be this laptop CPU variants are very different to the Office counter parties (but I could not find the technical information of intel). I checked the Vcore on an old laptop of mine using an i5 - 2520 m and is not further 1.150V on the vcore. I contacted the manufacturer of the app and intel, for more information. Will run some tests on my bootcamp windows partition (where I have a better knowledge of the measurement software), will let you know.

  • Very high speed of the HP Pavilion HPE h8-1120une fan

    Hello!

I got a desktop computer HP Pavilion HPE h8-1120une for about 2 months now and he was executed brilliantly (Windows 7 64-bit).  This morning when I turned on, the computer was much stronger than usual.  Installed the latest BIOS and F10 had started to see that the speed of the CPU fan 4500 rpm and the system fan speed 2500 RPM.  This seems quite high.

The noise is obviously a bit annoying! Any ideas how to solve this problem would be much appreciated!

    Cheers, Davo

    Hello

    First try this procedure .

Use a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heatsink from the CPU, although with a cold PC it might not solve the problem.

Try to clear the CMOS memory.

You might consider trying the B key over the Windows key, and then press the power button.  This could the bios image backup pickup if it is stored on the PC.

Contact HP support and ask the ROM/BIOS recovery procedure. Recent HP PC will store a backup of previous BIOS level.  HP support number is 800-474-6836 or 800-HPINVENT or online here.

  • The CPU suddenly very high low host CPU

    Hi all

I was struggling with a particular host for awhile and am unable to access the root of the cause. What we have so far:

    Physics:

1 host, 2 quadcores with HT technology (total 8 cores, 16 logic due to HT), 24 GB of ram

    HP Proliant DL380 G6

    Virtual:

    1 x Windows 2008R2 DC/FS 2vcpu

    1 x Windows 2008R2 SQL 4vcpu

    1 x Windows 2008R2 Exchange 2010 1vcpu

    1 x Windows 2012R2 RDS currently 8vcpu

Recently, the old 2008R2 RDS has been replaced by the new 2012R2 RDS. This went well, nothing special, no complaints, that rent because it was quite a bit of snappyier than the last.

Then, (and I did not understand what happened yet, could have been power failure) after about a week the Esxi host froze and we had to restart. Servers began and everything was fine, until the problems started.

The 2012R2 virtual machine currently maxing out at 100% cpu usage in Windows Task Manager, between all the virtual cores. This can be achieved by something as simple as the launch of chrome and Outlook at the same time. Performance on this virtual machine is terrible. All other virtual machines are affected also, extremely high CPU usage in Windows, maxing out even with simple tasks. If I open vSphere and check the CPU usage, it's nowhere near capacity. The RDS virtual machine did not exceed 3000 mhz maximum.

What we have tried so far:

    -Reboot the host

    -Restart the virtual machine

-The power management has changed compared to the High Performance HP OS Control setting, and the powersetting to high performance in vsphere. I can see through esxtop that all hearts are at c0 permanently. (Could not verify this before because of ILO2 failing to display this when HP high performance mode is activated)

-J' tried all sorts of Vcpu assignments, until 1 vcpu/1core 8 sockets on the 2012RDS. There is no pool of resources, there is no reserves (I tried those who, unfortunately, no effect)

-Close all VM except one (to check if there is some sort of contention cpu), always the same.

I think something is gone belly up when the host rebooted, simply unable to understand why, and apart from the crazy CPU usage, the server running now stable.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

  • Satellite Pro L650 - high speed of CPU fan

    Hello everyone

I have a Satelite L650 computer laptop that worked fine until I updated the BIOS to version 1.90 a few days ago. Now the problem is in the title.

    (1) the fan runs at full speed all the time, no matter what I do, even when nothing works.
    (2) if I switch to power and suspend mode back the laptop, the fan does not work and I get a message in 10 seconds:

    .../\
.. / ! ------Attention: a problem with the cooling system has been detected.
. /------- Please, immediately turn off the computer and return it for service.

And of course, I must stop the laptop and restart it to get the fan turns (whitch would speed max immediately).
I cleaned up the laptop from dust as much as possible, to make sure there is no dust on a sensor, but I can't do a lot outside. I used a 'fan '.
I did not open the laptop to check and clean all the possible dust because I think it would break my warranty policy (not sure about this).

I came across a few posts with people having this problem:
    - either with a new laptop
-or after the update of the BIOS.

According to me, this looks like a problem with this version of BIOS 1.90. I think that there is no way taken in charge by Toshiba to downgrade the BIOS with a lower version. I know that Toshiba Tec can do, but I have no idea what hard/software they use. Are there information on this problem and/or a possible new version of the BIOS? Like many people, if not all, I consider the PRO series as business computers - which can be used in a professional manner and have to shut up.

    Thanks for your comments.

    Hi Ryad,

This behavior soiunds looks a lot like the Sasser worm that causes very heavy use of the CPU and causes also the PC restart regularly.

You need start your computer in safe mode, and then run your antivirus software (I would also like to run your Malware software as well) to try to remove the virus. However, Sasser is not so easy to remove so please also consult the following URL: -.

  • Very high CPU usage in svchost during playback of an event in a major newspaper of the events using WMI

    Hello

I have a very high utilization of the processor in the process 'svchost.exe LocalServiceNetworkRestricted' during playback of an event in an event log in Windows 2008 64 SP02 using local or remote WMI.  The same happens using Wbemtest or C++ WMI code.  The use of WbemTest, "Open forum" (identical to one the GetObject of WMI API) read just one of recent events in the event log:

Win32_NTLogEvent.logfile = "application", recordNumber = 2615657 (in this case, it was the id since the last event in the very large to the Application event log)

takes 3/4 seconds consuming thant plus 50% of the monitored computer CPU.  This only occurs when the event log is very large (in my case 1 million records), the event log contains about 10000 events just fine.

The problem is that I read the complete paper in a remote program and this product CPU usage charge too much CPU to the monitored computer.  I do not read the newspaper of the events one by one, but I'm using WQL queries but I do some GetObjects and the peformance is really terrible.

Any idea what to change or search?

I have 4 GB of RAM, but when my i play any game for example NFS most wanted, my CPU fan runs at high speed and my system gets shut down within minutes. Help me solve this problem

If you overclocked?  If so, cancel that.  If the games you play are poorly written, it is not that you can do about it.  If you have not cleaned the dust and lint from your computer within a certain time, you should do that because it accumulates and causes overheating.  For desktop computers, remove the cover and carefully use compressed gas to blow off the dust, especially around the fins in the processor heat sink and air ducts.  For a laptop, I'll ring gas compressed through the ventilation openings.

    Good luck.

When I run my application with a direct connection, I get very high CPU usage... Can help me where can I fix this.
This is the configuration I have.

    PermSize = 102400
    TempSize = 2457

More, should one I include the LogBufferSize? How much should I put in it?

    Thank you

    John

Well, the point to keep in mind is that overall CPU utilization will not higher with direct mode with a local server. In fact, it will be a little weaker because of the much higher efficientcy of direct mode compared to client/server mode.

The usual rules apply here; You must decide on the maximum use of your machine (normally one trying to limit it to)<=60% for="" the="" most="" optimal="">

Then you need to see how your workload uses the CPU. with TimesTen there is no blocking operation within the database for a single application thread can, if it does not crash on all external events such as queue of messages, etc. I/O, usually consume a whole CPU core (a large volume of work in the process of transformation). If he asks you to this nature then you want to limit the number of concurrent threads to the smallest reasonable number. Assuming that the machine is running just the application and TimesTen and nothing else and that you wish to leave a carrot free for activity of DB o/s and the background (for example, journal of hot flashes and checkponting) then optimal throughput and response time will be reached with three concurrent threads hitting the database. You can run course with wires more than that but the flow will not be increased (in fact it will decrease somehwat due claim etc.) and response times will certainly increase. For this application profile you certainly wouldn't want to use more than 8 simultaneous maximum son.

At the other extreme is an application that has multiple concurrent threads, but where each thread spends much of its time waiting for some work to do and runs only makes for a short period of work process then returns to the wait. You can use several more concurrent threads than the hearts of processors for this application profiel. The optimal number will be determined by the specific workload, load CPU it generates and your maximum target of use of the system.

None of this is really specific TimesTen. The main differences that TimesTen brings all this are:

    1. the workload of database now works on the same machine as the application rather than on a server separate from the DB so that it consumes resources on the application computer.

    2. in general, database interactions will result not in any idle time from a point of view CPU usage (as a consequence of (1) above).

Ideally, your request will be designed and implemented so that the number of concurrent threads can be controlled as a parameter tunbable to allow you to adjust the workload generated by the application to the specific environment in which it runs.

  • HP Compaq DC7800p Convertible: Fan never works at high speed

Well Hello hp. My question is that I have the hp compaq dc7800p with intel q35 chipset. I also have the intel core 2 duo e6750, who comes to 66 without high-speed fan spining. I checked, the site of intel, that it is said that Tcase is 72 C I also have the problem with the chipset, there too big temperatures when you play. It goes up to 80 C. What I would do. Should I change cpu fan or don't start high speed at 70 ° C and for the chipset how cool up to at least 60 C, I have the normal aluminum without cooler chipset. I play the games are battlefield 3 and 4 and yesterday my pc freezes, and when I rebooted funs went at full speed, but nothing showed on the screen for 5 minutes, is now well, fortunately, but I all wory to much.

    Temperatures look ok so far.

-In addition to being very energy efficient - Core2Duo processors have built-in thermal protection.

If ever they come to high temperature, the frequency is decreased. If temperatures reach critical CPU turns off.

Chipsets get usually a little hot under load.

80 ° C is still about 25 degrees below criticism.

    What graphics card you have?

As far as I know, feeding in these machines has only about 360 watts, which is not enough for some high power graphics cards. It is most likely the reason why your PC freezes. Video games cards consume not only a few watts, they also generate a huge amount of heat under load.

Anyway, there are two things you can do:

First, go to the HP Support and get the dc 7800 manual.

Uninstall the CPU cooler and apply new thermal paste (don't forget to clean the old one).

Then, increase the speed of the fan slowed down in BIOS F10 for better air circulation.

    Hello

Problem: New SG - 200 26 Smart Switch with the latest Firmware - very high response time 500-800 ms

We have a router of EdgeMarc 4500 with 10 VPN tunnels at 10 locations of brach. SG-200 26 Smart Switch is connected to 7 servers (Terminal 2, SQL and others), all locations have 50 MB download and download 20 MB of Verizon FiOS Internet service speed.

Depending on the tool Kulvik, the response time of this switch is around 500ms. At the same time, the response time of the EdgeMarc 4500 router is around 40ms and less.

We have 60 remote desktop computers connected to our SQL Server database and 40 users of RDP via Remote Desktop. The configuration is the same for 3 years. But we change the switch HP 1800 - 24G of Cisco because of some failures of connection. For connection failures, we first think the old switch from HP, but it looks like problem with router EdgeMarc.

This response time is normal? I have attached two screenshots of Switch Cisco and response time for the past 24 hours EdgeMarc router according to the tool Kulvik. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello Srinath,

Thank you for your participation in the community of support to small businesses. My name is Nico Muselle of Cisco Sofia HWC.

The response time of the switch can be considered quite normal. Reason for this is that the switch gives CPU priority to its actual tasks that would be sure to pass, lists of access, VLANs, QoS, multicast, and DHCP snooping etc etc. As a result, the switch itself ping response time does not show in any way the good operation of the switch.

I invite to try the rattling customers connected to the switch, you should be able to notice that the response time to customers are much lower than the response time of the switch itself.

I hope that answers your question!

    Best regards
