VMWare Fusion does not charge: '... /.» Trash/Windows XP Home Edition.vmwarevm' does not exist.
Hello
Friday, I emptied my Mac desktop trash to get rid of the old emails, etc.. I have never knowingly put anything VMware in the trash. But now, when I try to load install VMWare Fusion to get to my old Windows XP, I get this error message. I tried many restorations of Time Machine, without success. Is it possible to get the functionality back to Fusion without losing my old data in it?
Is it possible to get the functionality back to Fusion without losing my old data in it?
In case the explanations of Woody is not clear: a .vmwarevm bundle contains all * data related to a virtual machine. If it was in the trash and you drained, you have already lost your data. There is nothing to recover. Sorry to have to be the Messenger of bad news.

Update Mac OS, now VMWare Fusion does not start
I upgraded to Mac OS 10.4.11 on Intel MacBook Pro and now VMWare Fusion does not start. I've since installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled to Fusion 2.0.2. That did not help
I have attached the logs from VMWare. Any suggestions?
John
Hi John,.
I checked your logs - thank you for them! That you use in an accident in one of the Apple libraries (OpenSSL, to be precise), which uses VMware Fusion.
I see a number of Mac OS X 10.4.11 users complain about the accident even in iTunes:
http://discussions.Apple.com/thread.jspa?MessageID=8254606
http://forums.Macworld.com/thread/105826
They claim that the installation of the latest Apple security updates (they specifically mention 2008-007) solves the problem.
Can you try to install the latest security updates, and let us know if this fixes the bug Apple?
Thank you!

Driver Ethernet for Windows XP Home edition does not work on Satellite A100
Satellite A100-784 PSAANE-02L011G3 ethernet driver for Windows XP Home Edition does not work. Cannot successfully install driver, downloaded all the drivers and still does not.
As a sign of Device Manager yellow. I bought my laptop with Vista BASIC and I put XP - SP2. Country is Croatia! Help me please!
Hello
I can't believe that you are not able to install the LAN on this Satellite A100 driver!
However, the satellite A100-784 supports a chip 82562GZ Intel 10/100 Mbit (Ekron) of Lan.
If you want you can download and install page Intel network driver:
http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=999&lang=eng
You will find the drivers Intel 8256 x Ethernet controllers
Good bye

I have a home edition of windows xp but slip listened to SP3, the installation when it asks for the product key, I enter my windows xp home edition original product key, but he says that this key is invalid, please check that you have not done it and try again
If your key is issued for SP3, then it is possible that slipstraming does not include the update to recognize th ew SP3 batch of authorized keys.
It is also possible that you used the wrong type of disc for the base of your wake - if the key is an OEM, you must use an OEM for installation and same disc, a disc of detail for a touch of detail.

My product key of windows xp home edition does not work?
Good while my laptop was a major virus, so after 5 antivirus, antispyware programs could not locate or get rid of it, I had no choice but to re - install windows xp home edition. But the problem is that my product key does not work. Why is this and what can I do, I don't have money to buy another computer laptop/product key
Dell inspiron 6400
p.s the guarantee expired already tried that one.
In this case, you are probably using the wrong type of disc.
You MUST use an OEM disc with an OEM key in WIndows XP
You MUST use a disk of Windows XP Home Edition with a WIndows XP Home Key

Windows XP Home Edition does not load in any mode after reboot to uninstall Norton
I wanted to get rid of Norton anti-virus, then, I have downloaded and run the Norton Uninstaller. After what seemed an eternity he finished and asked me to restart the computer to complete the uninstalation. I clicked the botton "Restart now" and after the screen, which shows the bios is nothing. No loading screen, no beeps or anything else, just black. In addition, it does the same thing in all modes.
I removed the HDD and an IDE to USB for connecting to my mobile backup (Win7 Ultimate) and performed a virus with TrendMicro Titanium antivirus scan + and scan with malewarebytes paid version maleware. No virus or maleware found. So, I ran a check/repair through backup with no found error disc.
I do not have a XP or 7 CD repair/install, nor am I money right now. I really need to get going again.
Infected computer:
Compaq Presario M2000
Windows XP Home Edition SP3
Processor Intel Centrino Pentium M 1.5 GHz
1 GB of RAM
Intel Extreme Graphics 2
Machine backup:
Dell Inspiron 1501
Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP2
AMD Turion 64 MK - 36 2.0 GHz
3 GB RAM
Integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1150
Looks like you somehow corrupted the bootloader.
If I'm not mistaken, you can technically download disc for Microsoft Windows XP SP3 OEM HOME legally, as long as you use your current license.
You can also communicate with Compaq and request a repair disk.

I have a Windows XP Home Edition, which does not list if it's 32-bit or 64-bit
I have an OEM Windows XP Home Edition, which does not list if it's 32-bit or 64-bit. How do I know what
To check if your XP operating system is 64-bit, you only have to right click on "My computer" and select 'Properties' to display 'system properties '. If your XP operating system is XP Professional 64-bit, 64-bit will be indicated in the information displayed in the general tab. However, XP 32 bit operating systems won't have 32-bit, there is no information about this particular point at all. The XP Home Edition will be 32-bit, but this information does not appear. XP Professional, however, can be either 32-bit or 64-bit. If it is 64-bit, it will be indicated on the general tab of the system properties. However, if it is XP Professional 32-bit, nothing is there to indicate that the operating system is 32-bit.
Vista and Windows 7, unlike XP, OS will indicate if they are 32-bit or 64-bit.

Hello
After update VMware Fusion last updated, I can't open application.
You cannot open the application "VMware Fusion" is not possible on this type of Mac.
VMware: 6.0.3
OS X: 10.9.2
How can I fix?
Thank you
I assumed that since things worked very well with VMware Fusion 6.0.2 that it was merge that you are prompted to update and you did it through merger strictly said, which is correct? If Yes, I download the installer of VMware Fusion website of VMware 6.0.3, remove the "/ Applications/VMware Fusion" App and then install from the downloaded installer.

After the upgarde I can't connect to connection Manager from the view of my Client to view 4.6 - Vesrion - 4.6.0 366101. Only thing I can think that my view client 4.6 is installed on Windows 7 Home Edition. Satellite C660-108 - Windows XP Home Edition does not install
I try to install Windows XP Home Edition on a Toshiba Satellite C660-108, without success.
I changed the BIOS disk in "Compatibility" mode (what is the same thing as "Legacy IDE"?) by following the instructions on a Yahoo Answers question on the same issue.
What has improved the situation, in what I now get an error message a few minutes after installing XP said "Starting Windows" instead of immediately after. The error message is the same that I have already received and is as follows:
"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer...". "Technical information: * STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D663C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).
Thanks in advance for any help,
Luke
PS - I'm a mac user and do not have much experience in the use of Windows laptops, so I need instructions spelled out clearly enough if possible.
The error could be related to drive HARD and the setting in the BIOS of the controller...
Probably, you need to install Win XP using SATA AHCI mode and to add the driver SATA as described here:http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/SPD4603LT0000R01.htmI found a similar description in the MS forum:
