VMWare PCoIP Black Screen View

I have implemented VMWare View 5.1 in a test environment and look like im the last obstacle.  The problem I have is when you try to connect by using PCoIP outside I get a black screen, then an error stating that 'the connection to the remote computer has ended. "  Using RDP, it works fine.  The client internally using works fine too.  I also connected internally using PCoIP and tried to open the Session even outdoors and it will start the Session internal but I still get the black screen with the error message.

PCoIP external URL must be the IP (client side) external.

    Hello.

    Everything is in the title

I have an infrastructure with ESX 4 5.0 and a 5.1 vCenter; Gateway security VCS 5.1.2 and 1 2 (associated with the second VCS); The view composer.

When the connection between the local network using the internal address of VCS, everything works fine.

When the WAN connection, using the external URL (www.mycompany.com, with an external IP address, registered in the public DNS): everything works very well with an IOS device, or a customer zero (Teradici chipset). but when he connects with a customer display Windows, authentication pass well, but after you have logged in, the client displays a black screen. It seems that the session is not present in the view manager.

    Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have all the necessary ports open in any firewall between the end user and the connection manager / ESX farm? The client software must open RDP (3389) addition to the PCoIP ports.

  • VMware View 5 PCoIP get a black screen on wide AREA network

    Hello community,

I got a VMware View 5 Infrastructure with a vCenter Server, a connectionserver of view and some clients such as VMs.

Internally, everything works - connections PCoIP and RDP do their job very well.

Know that we want to publish the vDesktops over the WAN. Users must connect to the virtual machines in their laptops or iPad (or iPhone) at home. So, we have configured our firewall to open the IP Wan (194.209.166.xy) to the internal IP (192.168.199.xy). A DNS entry for view.xy.com shows the IP WAN. If the WAN connection to infrastructure display RDP works - but PCoIP connections shows a black screen after 10 to 30 seconds after logon. We never see an interaction of oder break Windows. The screen is black after the logoninformations in the client view.

We have configured the connectionserver display settings as described in some articles here... 7

    The external url HTTPS: https://view.xy.com

checkbox activ: tunnel connection secure user desktop

    PCoIP external url: 194.209.166.xy:4172

checkbox activ: use pcoip gateway secure for pcoip Desktop connections

We have forgotten to do some settings or is it an another workaround to work with PCoIP over the WAN?

    Kind regards

  • 8.3.2 tools VMware (ESX 4.1) breaks PCoIP, get black screen

I think it was a problem w / ESX 4.0 U2, (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1022830) install the tools of this version would break PCoIP. But now I'm under ESX 4.1 and 4.5 of the view and I get the same symptoms. I thought that this problem would have been solved now. Especially the KB does not mention the new version as being affected. There is nothing in the KB anywhere on the new version, having all the problems.

My clients, both see the client and my wyse zero clients, connect with pcoip thin on their desktop with the old tools version 4.0.0 build-261974, but as soon as I upgraded to the version of the tools included with ESX 4.1, 8.3.2 build-257589 and try to reconnect on the desktop, I get a black screen for a few seconds then the connection drops.

All works in this or run the latest tools with a number? Any ideas how to fix? I tried to uninstall, reboot, and reinstall and reboot again... does not help...

I have not much except the Tools icon in the status bar indicates the user there is an upgrade, and as they can, they click it and do the upgrade of care... then of course, they break their connection... ugh!

    Thank you!

Pseudo-device to work around the problem, try to uninstall and re-installation of the Agent from the view on systems running the 4.5 Agent view.  Just curious to see what is happening in this case.

  • View 5 - connection via PCoIP gives a black screen and then closed...

I have a problem with sight 5 where I connect remotely via the 5client of view, I can connect to the AD domain and authenticates and selected a virtual office for access to the pools. The virtual desktop launched and presented with a black screen... that will be displayed 20-30 seconds ago, then the view client connection is complete.

My network configuration is my view Security server (using the private IP address) is coordinated by 'external' public IP address and access permissions are allowed PCoIP 4172 (in/out), 80 and 443. My question is... is the assumption of safety from view?

It works very well within the internal network, as I can connect to view security or view connection. Thank you

    Hello

As I understand it, he does. I say that because I have a networking team that looks after that and I can tell you, we had so much harm to our security server setting.

Mainly in our situation, our security server is behind not only the external firewall, but also BIG IP F5 load balancing. If the client connects to an IP address on the F5 what NAT then the connection to the Security server that tunnels and finally to the customer.

What you must ensure, is that in your configuration settings to display where you specify settings for the Security Server, that you have listed in this external IP address as the IP that the clients connect, this is where the customer is looking for the answer of. To complicate things for us, we had the customer come starting an Internet connection and packages back wanted to go on another connection (another IP address).

To help out you, not only to have the Security server logs, but if you can do it if you try to connect to a pool with a single machine, then you can look at the logs of the agent on this computer. It will give the list the connection attempt if it gets that far. I remember when the successful troubleshooting connection will be a line that sayd, that the customer is THAT NAT would have if you have someone who can read newspapers, wireshark can also be good to see what is happening on the place where.

Hope that helped, good luck, it can be a headache (try not to hit your head on the desk too).

    See you soon

  • Discover 5 PCOIP affected by black screen

    Hi all

I meet the famous black screen when trying to access a desktop through PCOIP session. RDP connections work fine. I followed (I think) the document referring to the 3 steps to fix this problem without success. I am unable to get through PCOIP connections work properly via the server connection (internal) or security (external)

Any help would be appreciated. The Setup is as follows

    1 VC (vsphere 5)

1 connection to the server - view 5 install (windows firewall disabled)

1 security server - part 5 install (windows firewall disabled).

Virtual desktop Windows 7 (windows firewall disabled)

    Server Config connection

Secure HTTPS tunnel is configured with the URL of the login server with the connection to the active desktop

PCOIP gateway is configured with the IP address of the server connection with this gateway secure to use verified pcoip Desktop connections

    Server Security Configuration

Secure HTTPS tunnel is configured with the connectable external URL

PCOIP external gateway is configured with the connectable external IP address (same IP address which resolves the url for the above secure tunnel)

While trying to connect to pcoip session from the local network, receive a black screen for about 10 seconds then a disconnection without error.

While trying to connect via external, the same behavior occurs.

To facilitate the troubleshooting of this problem, I allowed all traffic between subnets. I see not all packages being removed through the firewall.

    See you soon

This is certainly not the right display driver.

Have you tried the simple solution of uninstalling the agent, uninstall Vmware tools, then reinstall the tools, then reinstall the Agent.

In this exact order.  Based on your screenshot you have might have just a pilot get trampled by something else.

  • Black screen with Win7 and view 4.5

I'm having a problem that seems to have started last week, where all THE updates of my office to see back with a black screen.  This is my environment and what is happening.  I have 1 Server ESXi, VMware ESXi 4.1.0 348481, 1 connection to the server running and running my server to transfer all view 4.5.  I have not applied the update 4.6 yet because I use experimental Cisco Thin Clients and am waiting for the go ahead.

Last week my environment doing something really weird.  I started to Delete my VM after that disconnection and having the system re-create them.  It seems to work very well, but the updates are a problem.  I've been trying to upgrade to the latest version of the tools and then install the agent from 4.5 view.  Everything comes back to the top very well, I take my shot, apply it to the pool, and then choose to rekey.  After recomposing the said system work stations have been rebuilt and are ready to use.  When I try to connect through PCoIP, I get a black screen.  The only thing that fixes it is a restart.  I tried with the client software and customers of equipment without success.

The problem is mainly on the laboratory machines that the system removes and reconstructs after each session is closed.  Until I manually reboot each workstation, they are sitting there with a screen black if I update with a new snapshot.  Any idea on how to solve this problem?

    Joe

Seems that the key here is your secondary reboot. Somewhere in your Master image creation you are missing a restart and Setup / driver does not.

A symptom of the black screen is 99.9%, always related to the driver problem. You just need to make sure you installed successfully with reboots

I recommend the following to a master image

    Installation / update - OS / applications

    Install / update - Tools

    Reset

Install / update - discover the Agent

    Reset

    Test connectivity

    Cleaning

    Shutdown

  • Connection to a VDI with PCoIP desktop shows a black screen and little disconnects

I have an image of the mother and the pools built from this image. They work well. I created a new pool from this image with VDIs 10 gold. When I assigned people to this pool, they complained on black screen and when I looked at the papers I found some possible solutions to this problem.

    We are on view 5.3

    Operating system: WIN 7 32-bit.

So far, I have these patches:

    (1) replace connect via GPO DNS

    (2) increases vram and no monitors

Nothing has worked so far. Any help with this well really much appreciated. I have attached the log file. Ask if you need more info or newspapers on this subject.

    Kind regards

    Anoop.

I found the problem. I tried to upgrade the agent from the view and then reinstalled 5.3. But the pilot svga not to downgrade to 8,15 and so the error. I uninstalled the tools and agent and reinstalled the VMware tools and the former agent of view in good order and he got the old svga driver (7.14) and now its work. Thank you to all who responded.

As often occurs when the wrong VGA driver is installed.  This occurs when the view Agent is installed on the desktop, and then the VMware Tools is updated after the fact.  The result is the driver included with the Agent to view VGA is replaced with the VGA driver in VMware Tools.  You can see some advantages to the relocation of the Agent of the view, or update the VMware Tools and then install the Agent from the view.

    Hello

We have a working environment 6 view Horizon, and it works with view client and html. But today, I was at a customer, and when we tried my laptop, we where able to connect, but when I chose the VM, it goes to black screen and after 10-20 sec it disconnects. It must be something on the network of customers since it works from other places, and my laptop works also in other locations. I was able to use RDP, and HTML, so my question is then what do I the customer will have to check in their firewall? I thought that 'users' needs not what anyone special ports open on their side, thought it was by default ports that where free... but I'm not a guy to network... so

  • Black screen after installation of the Agent from the view.

    Hello

I am facing a weird problem on my windows 8.1.

I have install for use as a template for a pool automated view 5.1

When I install the vmtools, after that I installed the agent of sight, I got a black screen.

I tried several times and I got the same thing.

I'm not able to convert into a model of deployment of workstations after.

Can you please help me on this problem.

    Thank you in advance.

I'm a little unclear - which command do you have installed? If you have installed VMware Tools after the Agent of the view, you need to uninstall and re-install the Agent of the view... It must ALWAYS be installed last, even if you're just updating tools.

In addition, Windows 8.1 is not supported with view 5.1 IIRC

  • VMWare Fusion 7 Windows 7 Black Screen

VMWare Fusion 7 Pro. I have an existing, working VM of Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro 15 "Early 2011 (4xi7) running OS x 10.10 (Yosemite). I copied the VM to my Mini Mac 2012 (4xi7) running OS x 10.8. When you start the computer virtual on the Mini, I chose the option "moved" instead of "copied", as two virtual machines will never be upwards at the same time. While the virtual machine on the Macbook Pro still works fine, the VM copied on the Mac Mini boots to a black screen in the main window. However, the preview window indicates planned graphs and charts in this window it is started normally! I tried:

    1 again copy the VM

2 turn off the acceleration option and the retina of 3D graphics

3 reinstall the VMWare Tools (since I see still graphs in preview window, this was difficult but not impossible)

    4. turn the simple core CPU and remove image from DVD player

Nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

Well, I found the problem: the card drivers USB DisplayLink. It's one of these USB devices that allows you to attach a view to it. The version of the drivers I had installed caused this problem. Not sure if the new drivers solve this problem, because I just uninstall them. • Black screen PCoIP

I know that this issue was raised a lot and many solutions have been provided. But non of them helped me. Here's my network diagram:

    view pcoip.png

    1. in the case with direct VPN static to the remote site, everything works fine. I can connect to the Thin Client (10.20.20.3) to View Server (10.10.10.2) and virtual (10.10.10.3) using RDP and PCoIP computer access.

    2. in the case when there is another router between the two, I can connect to the server from view but when I access VM via PCoIP, I see a black screen and connection breaks a few seconds later. RDP works very well.

I followed solutions concerning the order of tools and agent installation. All ports between 10.40.40.3 and 10.10.10.2 are open.

Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

Because RDP works it seems you have a problem with UDP (PCOIP) traffic. You say that all ports are open. They are open for TCP and UPD? Your router has some other parameter which allows to take the UPD packets? Can you read the router logs?
