Why black - screen?

Sometimes (more often lately), I'll be in the middle of something on my laptop and the screen will turn black.  He's going to stay like this for a short time sometimes, but more often that otherwise, it will stay like that until I shut down the computer or simply walk away from him!  I ran malwarebytes on it, virus scans and everything else I can think of and all are clean.  Really fed up with him!  Any suggestions or solutions?

Hello

It may well be the video card, card mother or other equipment. Seems you have to the system.
Support from the manufacturer of motherboard or a real computer store (that makes its own service in the workshop).

Very difficult to solve hardware problems at home due to the limited amount of well known parties
to swap in and out.

  • Why Camtasia records a black screen with audio in Firefox

While doing a screen capture Camtasia 7 using Powerpoint, Irfanview and 24 of Firefox on PC under Windows 7 64 bit, I noticed that the sound is recorded but not the video.

The closing of Firefox both Powerpoint and Irfanview are saved correctly.

The screenshot was repeated using Firefox, then Internet Explorer as your browser, the black screen returned twice.

Permutation of Internet Explorer for Chrome and Opera, the screenshot was recorded properly so there is a problem with Firefox and Camtasia wherever the audio is recorded.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Why the screensaver stop working after a few minutes and then go to the black screen permanently?

I use Vista Home Premium with Explorer 8. My screensaver always works for about 5 minutes and then stops and goes to a black screen. Still black screen and my screen saver active ever again until I have move my cursor to display the page I was on. The screen saver does not available parameters except to set the number of minutes, I want to start. I ran antivirus, anti-spyware-malware etc the gamet, but anything is wrong with the screen saver. I am blocked and never had this problem before. Anyone know what is happening, what is the cause and how to fix this?

If you changed your diet plan or changed some settings for your course, it can happen.

    (1) go in the bottom right of your screen and click on the battery icon and click more power options (assuming that you have a laptop. If you don't go to the control panel (Classic view) and go into power options)

    (2) on your package (indicated by a blue dot next to it), click on change plan settings and navigate screen however turn it off for a long time, you want it to be before he turns off the screen.

I do not recommend messing around with drivers, because when I did, it messed up my screen and ended up back where I was before she has nothing (sorry James). of couse I messed up a little and the only real problem was the catylist control center has disappeared, and when I tried to fix this, I came across problems (it looked like a safe mode without the mode without failure of words on the corners)

  • Why Windows 7 setting would deliver a black screen with the cursor visible before you load the Office?

I had a very unusual event this morning.  I am running Windows 7 on a desktop computer.  On startup, I reached the login screen and proceeded to connect to my name.  Prior to loading the desktop computer, however, I was in a black screen with the cursor visible.

    1. I am able to load successfully under another user ID.
    2. I am able to boot in safe mode (with networking) using my own code.
    3. I did a system restore with no luck.  The problem persists.
    4. I don't think it's a driver issue because it would affect the two IDS and who does not.
    5. I have a touch screen and the white slider moves even in the place where I touch.  (what works)

    Issues related to the:

    1. what "custom" setting would result in a shift of the display of this type?

    2. If I go to Windows 8, will I have the opportunity to 'reset' my display options?  Or it will automatically upgrade to the wrong setting?

Thank you.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your solution.

The problem turned out to be the result of a combination of events.

    1. I did a change of media display a week ago but never restarted.
2 MS did the periodic security update that rebooted the machine overnight.
    3. the update may have actually been in the middle of the installation when I got to my machine in the morning.
    4. when the screen has not responded, I restarted manually by pressing the power button.

Ultimately, I was able to access Task Manager and found several instances of several components running.  When I "force stop" several of them, the office completed and I was in business.

I still have the wide black border around my 'Live TV' screen in Windows Media Center, but that's another question for another time.

Once again, thank you for the time spent to help me.

    Best regards

    Steve

  • Why my screen is black when I turn on my computer?

    Hello

Whenever I start my computer, a black screen is displayed and the mouse does not appear. I don't think this is the problem of my chart. For this reason, I am also unable to start safe mode (I'm on Windows 8). I used a CD live linux and it works perfectly. I don't want to reinstall my Windows because I have a lot of games, I don't want to redownload.
    Thank you

    Hello

You don't have to worry if don't have the DVD player on our laptop. You can use a USB flash as a bootable media player and use it to repair or reinstall Windows.

You can view the following link to do so:

  • Why show black screen for some of my users with a view to the horizon?

    Hello

I installed horizon view 6.0. now, I just have a problem sometimes some of my users connect to their desktop with vmware view client horizon just see a black screen and cannot do everything even when I'm this office openconsole in vsphere client no show and a black screen for solve the problem I have to restart this desktop computer and its not ok how can I prevent black screen

now I see that my status of vmware tools was obsolete is so important?

    What di I do?

    Best regards

    Babak

As often occurs when the wrong VGA driver is installed.  This occurs when the view Agent is installed on the desktop, and then the VMware Tools is updated after the fact.  The result is the driver included with the Agent to view VGA is replaced with the VGA driver in VMware Tools.  You can see some advantages to the relocation of the Agent of the view, or update the VMware Tools and then install the Agent from the view.

  • Why a mov file does not appear as a black screen with audio only?

I import a file mov in items 11 and it appears only as a black screen with audio.  The clip will play in other programs on my computer but does not matter in items 11.  The file was created on my panisonic camera.  I am fairly new to video editting and completely frusterated.  I guess it's sort of a codec issue but do not know how to proceed.  Thanks for any help.

    ' t

Hardware Apple JPEG should play very well, as long as you have the latest version of Apple QuickTime installed. CODEC is included, and generally, first can use it.

In addition, I did not see if you're on a Mac or a PC.

I have not heard about mfgrs camera. tweaking the JPEG, as they do with MJPEG (MotionJPEG), but if Pannyy did change things, then their specific version of the JPEG CODEC probably will install utility disc of your camera. With some disc utility, the CODEC is a separate installation with some, it install the camera driver, if there is one and with others, the necessary CODEC installs with the cataloging/editing utility program.

    Good luck

  • Starting on black screen (VFD002)

My MacBook Pro (13-inch, late 2013, OS X 10.11.6, retina, Iris 1536 MB Intel graphics card) has the same symptoms covered by the repair Extension program which deals with the graphic problems:

    https://www.Apple.com/support/MacBookPro-videoissues/

However, nothing is said about 13 '' models, which is my case. Why?

Start up my laptop to a completely black screen. I ran the diagnostic test and it seems that there is a problem with the graphics card: VFD002

It appeared after I closed the lid of my Macbook, sleep in battery mode implementation. When I opened the lid of my MBP display did not wake up from slumber. However, I can use an external monitor via HDMI, but if in SafeMode only (the retina display main black stills and the external screen is flickering when scrolling). In addition, this graphics card problem leads to crash the system.

I already tried Resetting PRAM and SMS, but in vain.

It my second time this has happened. The previous one-any return to normal until after a new OS install. But it happened again so reinstall OS X is not a solution.

More and more users are complaining of the decline in the quality of some hardware components...

However, nothing is said about 13 '' models, which is my case. Why?

The reason is that they are not included in the repair Extension program. Follow the options in the process of repair anyway.

What can I try again?  Please advice kindly!

    Hi @ sokw,

I have read and reviewed the post. Thanks for your reply. It seems that bios is damaged, and that is why the computer does not start. As it cannot be fixed by any software troubleshooting, you will need to contact the HP support by phone for the machine.

HP technical support are available by clicking on the following link:

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

    (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

    (2) then choose "Contact the Support" tab at the top and scroll to the bottom of the page "HP Support - contact" to fill out the form with your details.

    (3) Once finished, click the "Show Options" at the bottom right.

    (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Get a phone number." A file number and telephone number will now fill for you.

I hope this helps. I would like to know how this happens. I really hope that the problem is solved without hassle and the unit works very well. Believe me, I've done everything I can to help by keeping your interests in mind. Please reach out for questions and I'll be there for you help.
