WHY NO VIDEO OUTPUTS TV / MONITORS?

Does anyone know why the televisions and monitors have no VIDEO OUTPUTS of any type?  If anyone is aware of a TV or monitor that has any kind of OUTPUT video integrated (e.g., HDMI or component or composite or S-video or RF/coaxial terminal older types), I would greatly appreciate the number of brand or model.  I don't think that there is still, perhaps to keep the price down, or even to have people subscribe to cable and rely on a cable or DVR to record TV programs, to pretend that the cable companies have been dictating the characteristics (for we require to subscribe to their services/facilities). Does anyone know why TVs and monitors DO not have a built-in VIDEO OUTPUT? (However, they have several redundant entries!)

Thank you so much.
Josie

Hi Josie,

What version of the Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

I suggest you to consult the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

  • Video output for external monitor default

I used my Dell Inspiron 9400 for several years, almost always with video output to a monitor 19 ' 4:3, using Fn + F8 or Win Key + P select this option for the single release. I have now broken screen of my laptop and wish the monitor output, the default output. Is this possible? I use Windows 7.

    My problem has been resolved:

Click Start > Control Panel > NVIDIA Control Panel: select "set up several screens.

    In the window

1: choose the nView Display mode to use: select "use only one display.

2: select the display you want to use: select the listed monitor

  • Can I output the monitor program PremierePro CC (only) to a 2nd video screen?

I already have (years) used PremierePro on an edition of PC system. At this time, I used a box of cards and small groups of Matrox - it was so easy to put in place a 2nd monitor to display the program output (only).

I started using new PremierePro (CC version) but this time on an iMac 27 "retina 5 k (max for the ram, processors and graphics functionality). I'd quite like to discover the program output only (or at least mostly) on a 2nd 1080HD video monitor. Is it possible to do? With no junction box, I guess that this cannot be done. Is this fair?  I know I could set up an iMac HDMI output, but that would be out of the whole office. I just want to really take a power of video output (monitor of the program only) rather than the entire desktop. Is it some sort of break Thunderbolt to send with a HDMI or DVi connection, which can display only the monitor program (like those old buttons)?

Of course the iMac screen 5 k and the video monitor will be quite different devices - so I can't really just the range double configuration screen. A 2nd screen Mac is expensive - and it would be another screen to the retina, 5 k.

As background information, for now I'm only editing content 1080HD that thus the 2nd monitor should be consistent 1080HD. I have various computer and video monitors available if this configuration is possible. I'm not too concerned about the quality of the image in the 2nd monitor - its more about speed reading to check for sync and motion - changes especicailly when a customer sits the long side (and Yes, I hate too). The iMac 27' is a good size screen, but I'm edition multi channel animation graphics and pictures (no animated videos), it fills the screen fast enough. If I want to program a monitor window half-decent size, I am constantly scrolling and minimization / maximization of the channels that I can see detailed work areas easily.

If I ask a stupid question here, please don't shoot me :-) As I have said for a while I used the PP, but now I use it everyday - so just going back to it.

Thanks for reading - and advice you might have would be welcome.

    Thank you.

If all you need is a program-monitor output to a second monitor, woudn't integrated two-monitor process work? No, is not the release of calibrated equipment which is often sought for high range editing, but it works for most cases... just have a second monitor mounted on your card system and on the Preferences tab, select it as shown...

Just make sure that your operating system 'sees' your normal monitor as a screen, and then they will appear in this dialog box as your operating system lists them. PrPro always default to sending the output of the program monitor to monitor 2.

No box necessary engine... and many who have the outboard motor to run a high-end TV, also use it for their treatment of General works.

  • Why my video clips will run too fast when played on the monitor Panel?

I posted my problem earlier today, but in re-reading it maybe I didn't explain well enough.

My main question is: "why my video clips will run too fast when played on the monitor Panel.  It comes from occurring after I selected my media in the Panel tasks and placed in the correct order in the Timeline/timeline.  I knew something was wrong when I saw that the clips did not indicate their right length when it is displayed in the timeline (scope).  They have been compressed in only a few seconds, then the clips should have at least 5 minutes.  I ran the clips in the monitor and of course they ran too fast, with a lot of jerking movements.

3 video clips, I'm doing a PAL HD video taken with my Nokia N8 mobile video camera. Here in mp4 format. This may be a problem?  Note that when I play these individual HD clips on my computer (Windows Media Player) they work perfectly.

After that I put the clips in my project Panel (or before in the work space organize), I have perforned no modification or manipulation of clips.  They are in their original state.

Simply too check that the clips do not appear to be compressed, I burned a DVD, the resulting video ran in a few seconds.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    What is your project Preset?

If you right click on the items in the project Panel, then choose Properties, which is displayed for the FPS?

It could be that the FPS flag is not picked up by the GER, and if this is the case, you should be able to fix this by choosing to interpret the film and by changing the FPS to 25.

Hope that helps and good luck,

  • Cannot find my Satellite L350 - 10 H - external full HD video output

    Hello everyone.

I have a problem with my satellite L350 - 10: when I try to join a second external monitor in full HD.
Actually Im only able to duplicate my laptop with the same resolution (1440 x 900) display.

I cannot set a Full HD resolution for my Samsung external monitor system.
I don't think that can be a limitation of the Chipset because I can do that with all my laptop older, I have at home.
Now the strange thing is that when I try to search for a driver on the Toshiba site, my model just do not exist!

I put the serial number and the website doesn't recognize the model, and then in the list, this model do not exist.
It is: * TOSHIBA SATELLITE L350 - 10 H *-WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM operating system

Someone also has this model? How can I reach a full hd monitor?

    Hello

First of all, if you take a glance on the European Toshiab driver page, then you will notice that the driver search engine does not contain the sub model numbers but series numbers this means that you need to check the model number and then could find the right drivers.

As far as I know the laptop Satellite L350 - 10 H belongs to the series of PSLD0E.
You can find the drivers for this laptop if you would choose L350 PSLD0E.
    Easy. Isn t it?

    Now, back to your video output;
As far as I know there is a Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset.
I have the same chipset and I can use the external monitor perfectly.
But I installed the Intel graphics driver actually the driver preinstalled on my laptop didn t contain some resolutions
That's why I recommend the Intel page and download and install the driver for the Mobile Intel GL960 chipset.

After the new reboot, you should check if you can choose the resolution.

    Welcome them

  • DSC-WX150 will stop recording at 03:00 minutes when you use the HDMI video output

    Hello

    I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-WX150 camera.

When using an output HDMI cable to view the camera to a television screen, the video movie recording function to 3:00minutes exactly every time automatically stops.

When there is no HDMI cable plugged into the camera, it records fine 20 minutes.

I tried changing film formats, changing the power settings, camera reset the values by default, etc., but with no difference.

Why it only record at 03:00 minute exactly mark when you use the HDMI video output? Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you

    Hi tight,

Welcome to the community of Sony!

If I understand correctly, when you use your TV as a monitor while video recording automatically stops and does not cross the entire 29 minutes. Based on your manual, it is normal for the camera when it is connected to another device via the HDMI cable. This serves as protection for the camera.

We do not understand why mobile phones latest, as the Satellite P100-102 would be produced without digital-port connect TFT´s...

On the market-enduser TFTs are popular, but it is not possible to use the digital interface with the portable toshiba. We are not interested in the purchase of laptops from other manufacturers, but our time flee.

Can you give us a tip, then of the next generation Satellites with digital output to connect TFTs will reach the market?

    Hello

Sorry, but I disagree with you.
Toshiba designs laptops that support the digital port (D-video output port)

  • Tecra 8000 composite video output

I'm running the video output from my tecra 8000 via yellow composite video connector at the rear of the unit. I thought it was as simple as pluging in both sides of a RCA (one end to the video input of a video recorder) Jack and the other end into the video Tecra.
I get NOTHING on the screen. What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

normally, you have to pass the video signal in the composite connection.
For this (on newer models at least) by pressing FN + F5.
This combination toggles the 'next' display/device combination
If the videodevice primary and standard is the internal TFT, pressing FN + F5 once going to signal internal both TFT and RGB (monitor connector). Next time you press it, it will only in RGB, and next time, again, it should go to the TV output (composite).

    Try it!

  • Satellite 1800-100: video output does not work

I just installed windows XP on my old Satellite 1800-100, but now my video output no longer works. So I just downloaded the latest version of the driver, but there is no way I can get it installed. According to Windows the new driver is more recent, so it won't let me update. And when I try to uninstall the display driver, I have to restart for the taking of effect and wile it restart automatically installs the standard driver again.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

You say TV out port, or monitor the port? As far as I know, this unit is pre-installed with Windows XP Home edition at home and all the drivers can also be used for WXP Pro.

You preinstall your own OS (no recovery image)?

  • Satellite A300 - possible port VGA - not problem of video output

I use my VGA port in two main locations, at home to connect on an old television set via a PC/TV converter and work to connect directly to a projector.

This week he suddenly stopped working on both at the same time. I tired to another laptop in the projector to work and it works great. I also tried different tracks. The problem is certainly my laptop (which is now almost 4 years).

The most likely thing seems to be what is ' t the plug itself. If I plug something inside Windows (7 Ultimate) is work that is an additional monitor, but the projector/TV no signal. I've tried all the obvious things, hit F5 makes no difference, and the Windows settings have not changed. The resolution and refresh rates are properly defined. I try to avoid the standard answers on the verification of all the things that I already checked!

Now I have a HDMI port on the side, the probability is that just buying a VGA/HDMI adapter and using this port will solve the problem? I guess if it's just a physical problem with the VGA port so it will, but the problem would be a graph problem or your motherboard, and if it is will this affect the HDMI port, but also the VGA port?

Port VGA is an analog video output. HDMI is a digital output.
Two are different and not related them to each other.

So I don't very well if a HDMI adapter-> / m VGA would work properly.
Maybe it works but only with a lower resolution. So in my opinion, FullHD is not possible. However, I think that you will need to test it with your laptop.

Usually, you can use an adapter like HDMI to DVI or DVI to HDMI smoothly.

With regard to the question of VGA output.

Well, usually the Fn + F5 should pass between the internal and external production. It should work with VGA and HDMI port. Maybe it's just a software related issue.
In your case, I will try to uninstall and update the display driver. Maybe it helps.

  • Qosmio F50 - how to adjust the video output?

    I have a F50 - 12W.

On the side, there are 2 mini-jack ports. One is for headphones and a microphone. But the helmet also has a small logo of a symbol of a/v output.
In the box when I got the laptop, came a plug to phono cable and video. I assume it's for video output. But can find no mention in the manual, or by a google search.
How ever many I have set the output settings screen, I can't work.

Can anyone help to shed light on this topic, thanks.

    Altron.

    Hello

How do you connect the Qosmio F50 to your external monitor? I have too many Qosmio F50 and I use the HDMI port to connect it to my external monitor or TV.

And what exactly do you mean you can't get it to work. You can see a picture on this subject?
Also, here's an interesting document from Toshiba on this subject: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ7C021A0000R01.htm

  • Addition of dc7800 SFF video card: no video output

I bought an EVGA GeForce 210 graphics card to an HP dc7800p SFF.  PCIe low profile fits into the designated location and the fan works, so I don't know that it is powered.

When I install the card and the start-up of the machine, I get no video output at all.  There is no output over the connection video integrated dc7800.  It is perhaps as expected, because the technical documentation indicates that installing a PCIe x 16 graphics subsystem integrated card Devils.  However, there is no video output from the GeForce card either (from the VGA or digital outputs).

The machine appears at Startup OK, because I can hear the prompt for the power on password.  If I enter that password, I get audio confirmation that it has been entered correctly entered and remove the disk activity whereas Win7 initializes, I can't see because there is no video output.

I have updated the BIOS until the last level available about a week before, so I don't think it's a factor.

I've read other suggestions, which some suggest to disable the video through the BIOS Setup.  I hesitate to try this, because if I turn off the video installation, integrated GeForce card and it doesn't work, then I have a machine with no video and no way to reactivate the integrated graphical subsystem.

    Suggestions please.

    Hello:

    The Board may be faulty.

Even if the P/S of your model is only 240W, this card should work with a 240W P/S.

I also agree with you that it would be imprudent to trifle with the BIOS settings. That will lead you nowhere anyway.

The video card automatically disables the car video, and if you were to somehow anticipate that, Yes, you must reset the CMOS in order to retrieve your video. Not at all difficult to do, but why waste your time?

Now... Did you first uninstall the video drivers before installing new video card?

If this is not the case, there is an outside chance that is the question.  If you do not, remove video card, start the PC and uninstall the drivers for the on-board video.

    Reseat the video card.

You can also clear the CMOS and play the long shot.

See the guide below for how to do this.  It'll take you a few minutes. (Annex B, page 60).

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01162207/c01162207.PDF

In this way, you have done everything you can and then came to the conclusion that the card is bad or not compatible.

Return the card and get this one. $21.99 after discount. Comes with metal DVD/HDMI low profile.

The Radeon HD 6450 is an option card offered in the HP Elite 8200 Mini PC, which is more recent than the dc7800 a few generations, but it has the same P/S 240W.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814125404

BTW, when you install a video card to work with HDMI, your integrated audio system is also disabled.

So after installing the video drivers for the card, restart the PC, go into the BIOS, go to the menu of the device on board and change the audio settings shipped from disabled to enabled. Press the F10 key to save the setting and again when you go out.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400Y no video output.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400Y computer that I had stored (unplugged) in a bedroom closet bedroom for almost a year.  It was working fine when I put it in storage.

This past weekend, I wanted to use, so I plugged in and connected to an analog VGA monitor well known on the integrated motherboard video VGA analogue connector.  When I turned on, there is no video on the monitor.  I searched the HP support site and found a statement that said "built into the graphics card or the card PCI Express x 16 slot are usable at once; they are not usable at the same time. "This computer came with a 5450 PCI express X 16 video card installed.

However, the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card only has a digital DVI and I wanted to use a loose analog VGA monitor.  So I powered it turned off and physically removed the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card.  Then I unplugged the power cord and removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes.  Then I replaced the battery and applied again to power.

I still do not get all analog VGA video out of the motherboard, not even the BIOS messages it is first energized.

I also tried to integrated edge connector with a DVI equipped, monitor.  Still, there is no video output.

So I removed the power and re-installed the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card that has only a DVI connector.  I connected to a monitor DVI equipped and applied again to power.  There is still no video output was two well-known instructors.

When I turn on the computer, the fan power works, processor and fans of casing run, the blue led on the switch is lit and not blinking.  The Green LED on the motherboard is on.  The Green orange and activity led Ethernet link light are on.  There are no beeps.  I can hear the hard drive starts to work.  I have no video output.

I use a HP USB keyboard and a USB mouse.  The red LED at the bottom of the mouse is not on.  The shift lock and lock lights number do not light when you press the corresponding key.

This computer has spent more time of storage that it has been used.  It worked even when stored in a bedroom closet in bedroom.  I checked all the wire connections on the motherboard, with no improvement.

I would like any suggestions to get this working of the computer.  I wonder if the motherboard has somehow that went wrong.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello Big Dave,

Thank you for answering my question / problem.

I am aware that I can not use an analog VGA connection on the motherboard for a digital DVI input on my LCD monitor and vice versa.  I tried two different montors both analog and digital connections on the motherboard.  I tried to communicate clearly, but I guess that I don't have.

It is unimportant, now that I've found that HP recognizes that my computer model had a drawing or a manufacturing defect that causes the exact symptoms I am having.  There is here a link to HPs extended warranty program that describes the patterns and symptoms:

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

Step 1: Check if you are able to use on-screen keyboard function keys and send back the same.
