WiFi shows N and G, why?

Why wireless n & g intermittently?

Why offer the same exact hotspot WIFI G and other times my favorite N, which has a greater range?  Most of other hotspots is just G or only the N Protocol; two standards.

Thank you very much in advance.
Joe

Hello

Wireless routers can support both protocols. If your laptop has a wireless card that supports two protocols, then you can choose the N Protocol, which has more fast data transfer rate.

With all due respect, you are incorrect. You simply did not notice before D drive. D drive is a logical drive. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to prevent it from the show. However, simply disable the system for D drive restore.

  • Actual size of RAM is 4 GB, but it shows 2.96 GB why usable?

I installed Windows 7 Professional (32 bit OS) on my system and Pentium Dual Core processor.

And the actual size of the RAM is 4 GB but it is show 2.96 GB why usable?

In round numbers, XP, Vista and Windows 7 32-Bit Versions of the operating system can only address 4 GB. No matter how much you have installed 4 GB of memory is the maximum. The max your video card has xxx MB of ram on the card so that the limits of the operating system to 4 GB less cards xxx MO of memory.

In addition any other material also removes an additional quantity of memory (usually a small compared to the video card)
and the remaining memory (address space) is available for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 operating system and applications.

As well as 4 GB thru 16 GB of ram you have installed or will install goes unused on a 32 bit OS. No matter that reports BIOS or what the OS is showing as installed memory, it is still limited to 4 GB address this barrier.

A link to the white paper entitled "Gaming performance analysis" by Corsair

  • notification area icons change to "Show icon and notification. »

For some reason, the "Windows Task Manager" notification icon continues to change its behavior.  I had put the behavior "Show icon and notification" to the Manager of the tasks, but when I right click on the taskbar and select "Start Task Manager", I get the up arrow icon icon rather than the Task Manager.  I go to the arrow and click on customize and change the behavior to return to "Show icon and notification.

Is there a reason why it keeps changing to "display only notifications?

    Hi Artoo,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand from the description of the issue, your computer task manager notification icon continues to change.

I appreciate if you could answer a few questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?

2 have the Windows Task Manager before notification work?

    3. the question has started recently?

The task manager has two different views. For the display that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. To return to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs.

I suggest you follow this Microsoft article below which will help you to solve the problems of Task Manager, under article is also applicable to Windows 7:

  • My smart-net-total-care portal does not show inventory and Segments see other admins

My smart-net-total-care portal does not show inventory and Segments see the other admins.

Our "Managing Director" has installed a collector who submits an inventory of our company on the Smart-Net-Total-Care Portal.

When I log in to see the information of the collector (https://tools.cisco.com) I do not see the inventory collector, I can only see its "manually downloaded CSV stock."

I got rights to see the data by this 'Managing Director' and I waited for the weekend for the website reflect this - but my opinion has not updated.

How can I get the web portal to show all our accounts inventory of the collection?

    npicard,

Thanks for your help so far.  I am a Director of a company on behalf of Mark.  I have over 7 days, deleted his role (not his association) and then reactivated it after waiting 48 hours.  Mark has been able to see the results of the present.  Once he was able to reconnect that he had the same problems with not being able to select the correct and most recent inventory.

It's one of the reasons why, in another post I think you are familiar with, I asked Cisco to remove previous inventories to not exactly cause this type of confusion that we are trying to transfer this system to our operations department, whose brand is a key member.  Things do not go well.  Please let me know the status of the present and speed if possible.

I had a look at the files you sent me and tested in different browsers. I don't see a problem because mouseover and mouseout/mouseouthandler() events work as expected. The reason why all down and several events have not been programmed to. Remember that when a menu item is clicked on, it takes you to another page with a different menu and a different logic.

If you want the item of menu appropriate to remain in an inactive state, you need to program for it.

  • Disable WiFi on TC and used as a backup only

I have a Time Capsule that I want to disable the functionality of WiFi Access Point and JUST keep the Capsule as the backup drive.

I bought a new router that is not Apple Time Capsule, and I really don't want to have WiFi on the TC, and I want to be able to still use it to back up my data on my Mac Mini and Mac Book Pro. How to achieve this?

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

You should be able to have the configuration of TC bridge (Network Tab... Choose the option above, router: Off (bridge mode).

The TC is still available on the network.

However Apple pointed out that it may be difficult if the computer is not directly connected to the TC in wireless or ethernet.

My advice is to test as above... If you find after a day or two, the TC drop off the network, you will need to use a different approach.

Either use the TC as a switch... If the iMac in particular can connect through it in ethernet... but if your Setup is wireless, it becomes complicated.

    Click Open Time Machine Preferences

Click select drive or Add or remove disks

Choose the Time Capsule drive (probably named 'Data') by highlighting

    Click use the disk

    Close the windows

Wait a while to see if a backup is performed

If you want to manually run the backup, click on the Time Machine clock icon, and then click Backup now

Report on your results. If the backup still does not work, we need the exact message that you see there.

When my Macbook Pro is on the WiFi and my iPhone 6 s + is on cell phone, I noticed that if I delete the photos within the program of Photos on my Mac they do not get deleted from my iPhone. However, a few hours later when I get home and check my phone, and I'm on Wifi for both devices, the photos have disappeared. Do you need to be on the same account of WiFi for phone and Mac that allows you to delete photos?

    Thank you.

Devices can be on different wifi networks.

Your question is that the phone will not be synchronized using cellular data and will wait until it connects to a wifi network, but this can be any wifi network.

  • I just pop up saying wifi is composed and it will be disabled for a min. Cause for concern?
